phecs: Eyyyya these explaination looks like a nollywood scriptTrue that. |
Me i dont understand how you do things over there in port harcourt. Buying car for an 18 year old and topping it up with mercedez benz in her 300 level? When others ( like myself) drank garri tire during my own college days? Whats the requirement for getting all these goodies? Is it sex? |
Its usually diasporans who havent spent much time in nigeria, who would ask this type of question. |
Whoever is cheating, repent and give your life to Christ. Its not good the way people table others' personal lives here on nairaland ( not only on nl actually, but since its here, lets just use nl as an example). But if you give them room to do it, they will. If they are telling lies, thats different from if they're telling the truth. |
GeneralJ: It is not a citywide issue, its a country wide issue, my question is WHAT IS THE MINISTRY OF WATER RESOURCES doing about water in the countryWas the ministry of water resources responsible for building the bridge, or what does your question have to do with the thread? Why not table your discussion elsewhere? |
To some of the semi literates on the thread Make i no vex for you sha. Did you not see pictures of other suspension bridges with modern construction posted here, which part of modern escapes your cognition? Obviously, they are changing the designs and construction of architectural engineering concepts, why is that difficult for you to grasp? Its been stated there are other threads which have discussed current projects in detail and answered questions pertaining to such. If you people would combine your nollywood viewing with movies from other parts of the world, particularly developed countries, you wouldnt be so dumbfounded all the time! |
jp philips: what kinda people hang out here anywaysThat is a great question! |
i think the designs have changed, people should calm down. https://freethumbs.dreamstime.com/64/big/free_642683.jpg |
Freiburger: @ tpia, lovely stuffs your got out here.danke. |
white mosquito: Just an observation- dont u think 'the wise old man' sounds better than the ' old wise man'?"wise old man" is the standard term, "old wise man" has another connotation which helps me focus when writing about him. Also..... r u an Enid Blyton fan? Just curious.i've read enid blyton, why do you ask? some similarities- eg the tree? Forests are a common theme in fantasy. |
A moonlight sail They sailed on through a calm sea. Dawn turned to dusk, then the moon rose, shining with a soft, fierce, bright light which bathed their surroundings with an ethereal beauty, casting elastic shadows and throwing outlines into sharp relief, together with the nooks and corners of the boat. The man amused himself by watching the ripples flow from the paddle to the water, ever widening circles which melted into wider ones, and seemed to stretch to infinity. It was a beautiful sight. The moon hung like an enormous pearl in a black, inky sky, he could see the shadows and craters which were spread on its surface. They almost felt close enough to touch. A light breeze sprung up. He felt it caressing his neck and gently fluffing his clothes. He looked over at the lady- he hadn’t noticed she had laid down the paddle and like him, was staring over the water and now and then, up at the moon. The silence was broken by an occasional sigh, whether from her, him or the water, he didnt know. This is beautiful she said. He had to agree. He noticed even though no one was paddling anymore, there were still ripples in the water. He stared down, trying to peer into the depths. There were dark shadows under the boat, flitting around frequently like flashes of some form of liquid light, alternating between flashes and shadows. Every so often, a larger shadow would swim leisurely by, breaking through the silver reflection of the moon on water, yet not slowing down or showing its face long enough to be seen and identified. The man felt drowsy, rocked by the rhythm of the rippling water, and he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep. |
^ stay off my posts, thanks. |

specialguest: I heard the aim of koko mansion was for dbanj to get hitched. Guess it didnt work!some of these celebrities [the male ones especially] are very ruggedly holding on to their single status. Iyanya should be on that list too since Tonto Dikeh's name is also thereany woman who thinks she has muscle, should take him on. |
owo a ma roke, IJN |
very nice. God bless Gov Fashola |
throw a few a babies at him (after marriage of course, not promoting debauchery here ), add a woman who requires a certain "something" from him every so often which women normally require of men, by the time he experiences the hangovers and sleepless nights and diapers changing with baby doodoo disposal, he'll lose the aijoberi look.no offence! |
![]() just ask her, or something. Brace yourself for the response, if you think its going to be negative, and it is, then let her be, remain friends if she agrees to that. as per the height issue, if it bothers you then I'm not sure what happens next. |

@ topic/op you seriously did not just encourage people to not further their education, by listing some indians who if we check now, are most likely from the richest families in their country? ![]() |
College is a scam ooo but you gotta play the game because in Africa there is a disease called "diploma-tacy" or title-logy you are only respected if you have a PhD etc ... That's if you are not billionaire or from a billionaire familythe phd helps you get a livable salary, when you're not from a moneyed background. your other option is to try to make it in entertainment in the face of competition from big moneyed backgrounds. good luck with that. |
^ Turn to Jesus, dear. He can free you from your captivity. |
i personally have never met a shy arab. if they're shy, definitely it wouldnt be around black people, and especially not around a black woman. so, the op was probably being wound up and the men in question most likely werent saudi, maybe lebanese, possibly from nigeria even. |
