You got married at 18 and your oldest daughter is 16 now. What would be your reaction if she comes to you and tells you she wants to get married now or in two years time?

If he’s as good as my husband or better, yes, I would let her go on. If he falls short, no.
wow.

where is the husband from btw. I think the kids should be yoruba.

ezotik: off topic.

how did the okuns get their name? coz i always thought okun meant the ocean and not just river? or at least that is what i have been made to believe. so are they anywhere close to the atlantic?
okun means sea but it can also mean hello in some yoruba dialects.

ie hello, take care or sorry, depending on the context and/or pronunciation.

not sure of its etymology as the noun however, as per your question.

these sound ok:

Hitchhike a ride with your girl to a place you haven't been before [not to a danger zone though]

Play a sport like basketball or football in your backyard
Plan a party for a day when you'll have money
Stroll in a public garden
Get out all your old photo albums and show them to her
Cook a romantic meal together
the bolded especially. Albums are fun.

engrtee: B4 women were d weaker sex.they dont work hard, just stay at home and raise the children.

Today, they want to make money. They arent satisfied wit staying at home.they want to president.they started pushn for genda equality, woman empowerment.what a man can do a woman can do better.

THEY BROUGHT IT TO THEMSELF.WHY COMPLAIN
you seem ignorant.

when did women stay home and not work hard?

that's a recent phenomenon, because majority of nigerian women in the olden days, had farms where they planted and harvested crops.

do you want to prove they didnt?

after all is said and done, the fact remains the sw needs development and funding that can cope with the heavy migration of people to the area.

so, the govt needs to work on that.
Culture › Re: Why Yoruba Culture Accommodates Success In Outsiders - Farouk Martins Aresa by tpia5: 4:08pm On Aug 11, 2012
what are these long stories about? huh

i asked for examples of forums where owners with non-yoruba names have accommodated success in outsiders the same way the yoruba name nl owner has done on nl.

i didnt ask for ancient history since there are other threads for that.

however, if that's what you want, we can discuss it as well? We'll still have the same findings as per thread title.
