I think the major problem is that the FGN doesn't think before it talks. It just blurt out whatever comes into its senses
true that.

I guess it's all because the FG wants wants UNN Nsukka to be UNN Abuja
i suspect the same.

^there are different kinds of hijab even in arab countries.

also, not every hijab even in arab regions, covers the leg.

If they change UNN to Ojukwu, is another university going to be named University of Nigeria?
Romance › Re: Inter-racial/inter-ethnic Marriage Is It Wrong? by tpia5: 11:57am On Dec 14, 2011
Why must everything be about right or wrong.

The nitty gritty of it is love or lust alone does not sustain a marriage.

The couple involved are the ones who are married to each other, right? Not everyone else.

Are you sure you werent dressing half n.aked to begin with.

Should we only blame the prophet/evangelist here, because it seems you actually answered the door without being dressed.

Not excusing the man, but if you were carelessly dressed, you might have given him the impression you have the hots for him.

Leading him into temptation.

^^he doesnt necessarily have to contact them if he doesnt want to, but it is seriously not possible for a nigerian to have no family at all, in nigeria.

in some instances, a person may admittedly grow up without knowing their relatives, but its very rare and very few exceptions.

also doesnt mean there are no relations- just that they're unknown.

Food › Re: Monopoly Products In The Nigerian Food Market by tpia5: 4:13am On Dec 14, 2011
My father sent samples of 3 popular soap brands in Nigeria to a European manufacturer. After testing the samples, he replied and said he CANNOT produce such low quality soap in his country and his government will NOT allow him to export it and he will be in trouble if he tried that.
not sure what he means. Maybe you sent him low quality soap.

brands like omo and elephant are of international quality i believe.

the company that makes omo [unilever] is British-Dutch and with offices all over the world.

their products include lipton tea, knorr cubes, popsicle, starbucks, ben &jerrys, country crock margarine, skippy peanut butter, axe deodorant, lux soap, etc.

info on omo here:

Siena:
Tpia, please don't tell me about what family I may or may not have. You know nothing about my family background, who my parents were, or where they were from.
the fact remains its a very incorrect statement to say you have no family in nigeria- either extended or otherwise.

you may not know them, but they're there.

the only way you could have no family in nigeria is if you're not nigerian.

These mallams would be experts at making espressos, cappuccinos and lattes i'm sure, if nigerians were into that kind of thing.

I don't have any distant or close relatives in Nigeria
i dont think that's possible.

what you mean perhaps is you're not close to/aware of your distant or close relatives in nigeria.

in many parts of nigeria, especially the southwest, most hometowns are full of people who are related to each other in some way.
