AtlanticBreeze: Igbo/yoruba marriage, Like the family, I'm not in support
But you were in support when they produced two kids?

GentleMimi: I guess that explains her ''long face'' in all the pictures taken. Most brides beam with smiles on their wedding day,but Lola........ lipsrsealed
Some people do not like "alariwo" wedding for various reasons.
CelebritiesRe: Jude Okoye, Others Unhappy With Peter's Marriage by tpia5: 1:19pm On Nov 19, 2013
Promhize: You are not Igbo, so you can't understand.

A woman that gives birth to two! children out of wedlock (even if she later married the man) is hardly trusted, to worsen the case she's Yoruba.
I'm not saying Igbos hate Yoruba but once a Yoruba person looses the trust, its gone.

I'm sure his mum used to look at her as a gold-digger ans I support ladies like this won't go near him if he wasn't super-duper rich (my opinion tho). She doesn't even look like someone that can make ordinary eba grin cry
Lola herself is from a well to do family, so i'm not sure where gold digger applies. If there are any reservations about the matter, its probably linked to the fact that she's 'oyinbo'.

As per having kids out of wedlock, does anyone in fact have any evidence they did not marry before now? Just saying!
CelebritiesRe: Jude Okoye, Others Unhappy With Peter's Marriage by tpia5: 1:17pm On Nov 19, 2013
What a load of baloney.

They should just say they were "warned" not to attend the wedding, instead of paying people to type all this moonshine.

And no, i do not believe the age difference (if any) is that much, those of you harping on that should fall back because later now you'll start catching feelings when the thing is looked into.

FamilyRe: Photos : Black Family Undergoes Amazing Transformation To Become A White Family by tpia5: 7:15pm On Nov 18, 2013
The white to black family looks more convincing than the black to white family, imo.

Just shows many blacks (especially non-african blacks), are mixed to some extent.

CelebritiesRe: Lola Omotayo At Her Wedding To Peter Okoye by tpia5:
abhosts: Nowadays most people seem to make a mockery of wedding process. A Veil over the bride's face is meant to represent Virginity.
in the traditional ceremony, the bride's face may be covered ( usually with a veil or some other cloth). Not sure if the veil in traditional wedding represents the same thing as the veil in the white wedding.

If she had done the wedding in the village, instead of fancy lagos, there is no way Peter would not have prostrated at that wedding.

All those his friends wey dey form sef, dem for know whats up.

iceberry1759: a Vail on a traditional attire. hmmm.......na wao!
I think its muslims who usually do that, not sure why she added it to her repertoire, maybe her mum or dad have muslim ancestry, just guessing.

Or the designer just wanted to include it.

the thread is not only for polio, its for anybody who finds it hard to engage in civilized behaviour on nl.

learn to appreciate context when you are posting, its not rocket science and neither should you act as if nl is your papa's land, na seun own am, you all are just wasting your time here, he's not paying you to make f.ools of yourselves on the web.

whenever your eyes clear, let us know.

in the meantime, surely none of you have any issues with your posts making this thread?

i assume if you decide to be shameless then you are ready to defend anything you type including your uncouth behaviour and language.
CelebritiesRe: Prince Uzoegwu Sues Blogger N100M For Calling Him Gay by tpia5: 3:36am On Nov 18, 2013
manny4life: Unfortunately you missed the point of my argument, I am not arguing to change anyone's perception or opinion on how they view a male wearing colored pants, in all honesty, others opinion about the subject matter is their opinion, and that's what it is. If they choose to associate males wearing colored pants as gay, then it's their opinion, and that's fine. I'm neither arguing to change, alter nor invalidate their opinion.

My argument is simple: don't redefine what men see as common OR uncommon, because it's nonexistent. Men are strongly opinionated and by virtue of nature, we are DIFFERENT. What works in the western world isn't easily accepted in the African continent and what's existent in the African continent is unlikely in the Arab lands. We are different.

We can agree that a man has a penis, and a woman a vagina, that's a worldwide accepted natural principle, however, there's neither a collective opinion nor a generally accepted ideology that states that "ALL MEN" view colored pants as uncommon. More so, how you view it, and interpret it as being gay is irrelevant.

Therefore, when you falsely allude, "men don't commonly wear them, thats all.", then you argument is in serious bind because, like I said, there's no general consensus of "MEN" that validates your comment. A more suitable comment would be, "Nigerian men" or "African men" or even Lagosian or village men and NOT men in general.

I'm done with this argument, I believe I have made my point, if after all these, you don't get... Well I can't help you.
you can argue all you want, doesnt change the facts.

the fact that you're so jittery over the matter, shows you already know.
CelebritiesRe: Prince Uzoegwu Sues Blogger N100M For Calling Him Gay by tpia5: 2:35am On Nov 18, 2013
bright/coloured, doesnt matter.

my point is you are free to wear what you like, but you cant force people to not assume you're gay when you insist on wearing things associated with a particular lifestyle.

if you must argue against such, does it make sense to do it on this particular thread?

how does that assure people you're not gay?

^ and which category does your forebears fall into?
CelebritiesRe: Prince Uzoegwu Sues Blogger N100M For Calling Him Gay by tpia5: 12:23am On Nov 18, 2013
manny4life: That's right, "MEN" don't commonly wear them in your village. Take a trip to New York, NY or downtown Washington DC, and then come back and reevaluate your comments again.

Here's a nice article from "MEN'S HEALTH", a national popular magazine supposedly "straigt" recommending on how to pull of colored pants

http://news.menshealth.com/how-to-pull-off-colored-denim/2012/11/01/

An excerpt

Select the Best Color
Electric blue, yellow, and salmon are great summer colors, but this season, try something a little darker and muted. Think: dark purple, tan, forest green, navy, and burgundy. These colors were all over the fall runways, and jewel tones help you exude confidence because of the luxe, yet subtle nature of the hues. Your best bet? Deep purple skinny jeans like the 1969 Authentic Skinny Fit Jeans from Gap. (gap.com; $55.99)

Again, colored pants DOES NOT make you gay, and yes, colored isn't for everyone, but to say it isn't common amongst men means one of two things: extremely unexposed or just mischievously ignorant.
bro, its not by force to wear what is uncommon with your gender.

or are you selling/designing such?

not sure why you're so upset over the issue.

if you must (constantly) wear bright trousers and you are an adult male, then stop jumping on people if they assume you're gay.
