True that. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end They are new every morning, new every moment Great is thy faithfulness O Lord. |
but for His mercies o. |
cold: That's because as soon as they cross the shores to the other divide they discover they've been living a terrible lie foisted on them by a dysfunctional society where you're indoctrinated to believe prayer solves everything, from health issues to safe driving & everything in between. A society deeply entrenched in squalor & demeaning poverty but some smart alecs try to convince you to give even the little you have with the hope of tripling or even quadrupling it. You're made to believe you can never be successful in life without accepting a certain god in your life, amongst a whole load of other bullshitt one is fed with.sounds like you've wanted to offload this for a while. |
yes, sometimes you see his posts on some of these old threads. |
i wonder why everybody on topics like this, tend to form like they never do what the thread is about. |
because they want to? it could be important to their sense of identity. or maybe some financial/material benefit is derived by so doing. |
When I hear guys say this, I begin to wonder if they're not actually the ones that got away from the grip of girls and not the other way round. Imagine a lady after cooking for a guy, washing his clothes, re-arranging his crib and 'taking' care of him, with the hope of becoming his wife only for the guy to dump her later for someone else. Tell me, who got away? Na the guy of course!you talk true. dem just dey use the classic reverse psychology to make the girl feel better. |
"ohun semi ohun gbami bawo lase ma dupe lowo eni to n seni to tun gbani".i think this means "how do you thank a frenemy". ie the person who is flogging you with one hand and consoling (ie patting) you with the other. |
Gentle Naaz: White men shud answer ds questions, so dat i cn grade dia IQhuh |
De Tus: This is just crazy. Some folks just copy and paste. It is just totally uncalled for.this story has been posted at least four or five times i should think. i guess there are nlers who are glued on the forum simply to repost stories over the years. well, if they're getting paid for it, |
anyway, Nigeria IQ = 69, say researcherstrue or false? |
the others should also stand up to be counted. |
very touching psalm. O God, the nations have invaded your inheritance; |
"more comment" and then everybody stopped posting. i wonder why. |
hmm, thats quite deep. |
DerideGull: I shall not put a cent on fellow who publicly claimed that Christopher Alexander Sapara Williams and Dr. Nathaniel King were Yoruba. I did not know Yoruba people have Creoles too.the term creole is not used by most places in africa besides liberia and sierra leone. |
so, he's supposed to be spending his birthday in london? |
another first on nl, seems the eclipse in nigeria must have reformatted some of the binaries in the country, some of you have been reprogrammed or something? btw, who is "we". |
There are things u cannot forgive, for instance if you trust someone with all u have and you've been faithful to the person but all he/she can do better is to betray you, plan to scatter your relationship with other friends and people that loves you and still forming to be a friend whenever and my people said "ohun semi ohun gbami bawo lase ma dupe lowo eni to n seni to tun gbani".wow, this is deep. i would think sometimes we expect from people things they are unable to give, doesnt make us bad per se, just unrealistic. but, its important to assess people for who they are, not always who we want them to be. |
if God does not grant a spirit of forgiveness, it might be hard for some to forgive since it doesnt come to them naturally. |
were there issues even way back then? abi na for matters outside of here. |
wow, nobody abused me for my comment on the thread? thats a first! and to think i didnt even check back because i was so sure na haters go done derail am on top one post. |
who else didnt attend, please post the real stories as well. who called in from south africa? i havent seen his own explanation yet. |
this man dey enjoy o, see as im background resemble overseas. not even your average overseas at that, na the vip type. |
Litmus: Innocently, someone earlier on posted statistics that showed that on average Nigerians were the most educated ethnic group by ratio in America. What this person did not realize is that Nigerians are hated far more for statics like that than they are for crime statistics.you're probably right. |
tomakint: Did anyone have a clue when Christianity was brought to Nigeria by the Portuguese?15th/16th century. why were you asking all these questions anyway, should probably be on their own thread. |
tomakint: ....meaning Islam was generally accepted before Christianity? I thought I heard something different thoughIslam predated the 19th century but its more or less unknown exactly how widespread it was in the centuries before then. |
tomakint: I mean who actually brought the religion to the northern part of this country? Any clue?i doubt its known. probably trade, missionaries, etc. |
lord have mercy, too much wickedness in this world. |
