i wonder how all the back and forth will get a wife for Jude. until he presents a hausa or white or non-nigerian lady as his fiancee, na there una go dey sha. |
checkdate: hia ! !nice meme. |
^ my point was you dont respond to any such threads with the same vehemence you're using now, why would you accept the ijebu account of migration from sudan, but want to fight the same possibility when you see it elsewhere? |
sounds like fake news. i dont think an excuse is needed to see obasanjo, what exactly concerns the public? |
i'm not into politics but i think if you're from a political family (ie a family already known for politics), have enough stamina, are outspoken on issues you feel passionately about, have a "strong mind", and can match your adversaries point for point without being intimidated by whatever is in their arsenal, then you might as well head into the nigerian political arena (either by appointment or election) because you've shown you've got what it takes. last but not least, of course money is needed. |
WFE: @OP - is this about the creche or the church? Is your intention to gather stones for people whose favourite pass time is throwing stones at anything remotely associated with God.what would be even better is if she finds time to drop in and check on her child regularly while its at the creche. |
third or fourth time's the charm. lets just wait until she promises to drop the goods on at least two more men, not enough right now. |
larai2: dry fry, skin and grind the g/nut. extract oil from the paste by squeezing, pounding and adding little hot water and salt to taste. continue to extract as much oil as posible. mold paste to desired shape and fry using the extracted oil.any pictures? op, did you make it? |
interesting, didnt know moringa was the same thing as kulikuli. |
Economics or economy section is also needed, to study and discuss the economy sector/s. Not sure what category it would fall under. |
GentleMimi: No time! There's no reward gained if i convince u,so i will not waste my time looking for pictures i viewed in other blogs.Ciao!ok then, i guess nlers only posted the frowning photos, whenever you have time, you can bring the smiling ones. |
Virgin Finder: How?i think your imagination is overactive. No Yoruba lady takes an Igbo guy as first/preferred choice for marriage.its her family who might not agree to her bringing an Igbo guy for marriage. |
Katsumoto: Tunisia is in North Africa and the presence of Islam in one country/region doesn't automatically mean its presence in other parts. There was Islam in Bornu, why was there no Islam in the Eastern part of Nigeria?well, i am just guessing here, like i said, i could be wrong. however, i believe there was some contact between north and west africa in ancient centuries. |
The most fanatic are the recent converts. remember that.
how does this contradict my post? |
and my post was that islam was not there since islams inception. it is impossible. thats my point.
i just pointed out muslims built a mosque in tunisia in 670 AD. So how is it impossible there were some muslims in west africa in the seventh and eighth centuries? they may just have not been widespread. islam truly came to Yorubaland only with the Fulani jihad.incorrect. |
i havent seen anything to suggest Islam was in Yorubaland before then. it is like saying , unicorns exist. i havent seen anything to suggest that unicorns dont exist.
ok then. |
conversion of the rulers perhaps. i havent seen anything to suggest Islam was not in Yorubaland before then. of course i could be wrong? however, the way yorubas practice Islam suggests a very strong affinity with the religion which would seem to predate the modern conversion most people refer to. its like italians and catholicism. |
well, my post was, Islam may have been in Yorubaland right from it [Islam]'s inception. not sure what you interpreted that to mean. a mosque in tunisia was built in 670 AD, shows muslims were present there and beginning to be active by that time. |
Virgin Finder: I've always known that Yoruba ladies getting married to Igbo men have is almost never a perfect match. Its the other way round. |
i dont know why you're panicking as if you never heard that before. kanem officially converted to Islam in the 11th century, it doesnt mean there were no muslims there before then. |
GentleMimi: That is soooo untrue!post any picture where he was smiling. |
amber222: yes,its even more dn 8yrs because whn d twins released their "do me" album they were in their early 20s & lola ws arnd 32 or 33yrs dndo me was released in 2007, according to wiki. going by their stated birth date of 1981, they'd have been 26 at the time. thats not early 20s. |
its quite possible Islam has been in Yorubaland since it (Islam)'s inception. No one can really pinpoint how or when Islam entered Yorubaland anyway, all most people know of is Ilorin which was conquered by the Fulani at the request of their Yoruba allies. |
maybe the thread should be deleted. only a crazy person in need of medication would even post such a title or do what it describes anyway. |
True. |
9jacrip: Right.I dont see you arguing with the ijebu/sudanic origin myth though, so why is it so unpalatable for you to consider other myths from elsewhere? |
Chain = slave trade or slavery Heaven : orun, not sure where thats supposed to be, probably somewhere in the far east or a "spiritual " centre. Sand: people Primordial waters: sea/ ocean Rooster: leader/ time keeper. |
What kind of story is this? I dont know why people like giving the impression nigeria is a jungle. Wasnt it kulyie who threw a hissy fit because she said she wore bikini to a function and i asked her to be patient with a couple she was lambasting for not being in bikini? Ok, when you wear your bikini, do men not tap your butt, or what kind of carrot and stick approach is this? Why would you tantalize the men and then beat them up when they respond? A simple verbal tongue lashing wont do? Is this your way of telling us you can only marry a soldier or what? Lord have mercy o, is this tales by moonlight or what kinds of amazons are roaming the earth these days. |
homesteady: What she said concerning their age difference(Encomium magazine)She studied theatre arts and is a publicist, what should she have said? |
GentleMimi: .....such as?True, however the groom wasnt smiling either. |
50calibre: There's no smoke without fire, rumours like this don't just magically spring forth, there must be a reliable source somewhere talking. The older brother is single and a bachelor. They should just find him a lady and bring her to him since he's still dragging his feet. |
coastal queen: Yoruba babes be like 'mi o le fe omoibo' but when its a rich Ibo dude, they do alL the jazz to get em. Sorry P just make sure u keep the cash pumping coz if it stops for any reason, na for your presence her uncles go dey pick and drop her :pIts actually the other way round. |
