havent read the thread in question but the real issue for those preaching against casual sex is 1. Not to fall into it yourself. This can happen especially when someone is careless or discouraged. 2. People will still practice their premarital sex anyway regardless how many others are "judging" them. 3. Everyone judges everyone else in one way or another. |
you'd better pretend to be young and senseless if that type of crap is your handle in this place. |

nigeria don suffer if even malaysia is looking down on you. however, we cause these things for ourselves, in a way. and yes, the cults are very strong in emigration matters and good at exporting their members to different parts of the world for reasons related to cash flow. |
that's the US govt classification, which goes by ancestral and historical ethnicity. the black institutions break it down into more specific options such as african, african american, carribean, etc. however, it's not a big deal imo. in addition, they [US govt] are providing more options now for mixed people. so maybe they'll reclassify everybody else as well. |

Feel free to get something useful to do, there opportunities in this country if you know where and how to look. If you don't want that, feel free to negotiate your way back out of the countrytrue talk. most of them will still travel back out anyway. once you leave nigeria to take up residence elsewhere, its very difficult to return. |
Randiness is embedded in all tribes but no tribe comes close to we Yorubas in extra-marital affairs . . both males and females . . . . the institute called marriage has been subtly eroded in our culture@ bolded to the best of my knowledge, the men consistently outshine the women when it comes to adultery. its only on nl that i hear yoruba women are supposed to be licentious as the men. maybe these "statistics" are based on region, perhaps? ![]() |
they've drugged the girl like there's no tomorrow. lord have mercy and deliver these girls from wandering pr*cks. hope it wasnt "open eye" that led the woman to these jaywalkers. |
PhysicsQED:remember back then there was no ika. i believe the punitive war was planned specifically for a town or village/s in that region. i got this information before i even joined nl, so i cant recall which source it was from. however, the attack would have gone ahead had the british party not been killed. from all indications and as far as i know, which isnt much. also, it was centuries ago so all things being equal, isnt supposed to still be a problem or incite emotions now. |
PhysicsMHD:what was the response? ![]() you're welcome to feel it didnt happen ie that there was no such planned attack. i just study history that's all. And unraveling the history of nigeria is very complicated, hence the need to have better understanding of particular eras. |
abagoro:this is actually common knowledge to people around that area and i have no idea why it's just coming out now. like i noticed, i dont think the issue is considered that important by the people there, because they've blended into the general ika identity. creolized as a matter of fact. but its very interesting reading, i agree. |
seanet02:dayokanu did you just say. your role model and hero. |
PAGAN 9JA:you dont say. |
It is expected that the move to create Anioma state will meet with great pushback in both Edo and Delta statesmost likely it will. |
havent read through the whole thread from page to page. From what i gather so far: 1. ogbuefi believes ika are igbo 2. agbontean says ika are closer to benin, not igbo, with some exceptions being communities which are directly descended from igbo 3. negro ntns says ika should align with benin, not igbo [not sure what your view of their origins is] and also, you do not accept ogbuefi's account of benin war strategy 4. physics hmd says some people [ikas?] are insulting benin and he wants to reply them 5. some other folk are also contributing- dont have the breakdown- i think someone said igbos were insulted and so he's responding to that. also not sure if nos 4 and 5 were from this thread or a different one. |
PAGAN 9JA:Will you be visiting there anytime soon? ![]() enjoy your trip. |
^^back then there was no yoruba land [or anioma land for that matter]. the thing is, these issues arent black and white. |
