one of the son's marriage almost broke up due to the Girl's mother (who is in her husband's house) advice that they should divorce if they are not happy together anymore. It was that bad!i was also wondering at the people who insist married women would never advise their daughters to divorce their husbands. when it happens more often than not, i should think. of course i could be wrong? ![]() |
Nainai:you might have a point jare. look at arnold and maria's kids for example. of course maria is better looking than arnold, but their kids are absolutely stunning . they have the parents' features but in a handsome/beautiful manner. owo itoju wa lara won. |
We cannot reason along the thoughts of Ojukwu or do a research paper on him. There is a flaw in Igbo gene generally, period! As an ethnic group, it is more common and prevalent for Igbo consciousness to see things in far more magnitude of what it truly is and then to attach their ego and bet their future to the inflated value of the object. They put the cart before the horse, they count chickens before the eggs has matured enough to hatch, they act on impulse first and make assessments later. This explains for their repeated failures to become a majestic culture in society. They do this with their ancestral roots, their history, their culture, society, prosperity, conflicts, war, academic, administration, and so on. That's their downfall, they refusal to take stock of true worth before making undeliverable commitments.
freedom means many things. sometimes you are not free to make your own decisions. personally, i think the minorities along the coast/in that area tend to be underrated by others who feel they [minorities] are helpless players being manipulated by igbo. just my opinion. i feel the dynamics over there is far more complicated than that. |
oops!! wahala dey. na war be this oh. |
Tpia, what gave the peoiple the impression that there was truth in his deception?i dont know if there was actual, intentional deception initially, or more of misinformation. hindsight is always 100% as they say. the deception might not necessarily have been from ojukwu himself but from other quarters and mind you, i'm just guessing. not set in stone. but if he received information that biafra had the military might to go it alone, coupled with the pogroms to give an added emphasis to the "need" for secession, then that's one context. say, for example, he had seen the biafran military, been reassured of support from elsewhere, and had intel on the nigerian army. he could have been acting on his conviction that things were indeed what they seemed to be. |
i'd like to know more about his family background. something's off, imo. |
some people [i dont think this is a general nigerian thing but more like specific to certain regions], seem to view relationships as a means of dealing with their enemies. they only "fall in love" with people [females] who they then "send" to another woman they want to harm. The female feels she is special to them because of this joint mission. more often than not, the "amazonian males" in question tend to withdraw their "affection" the moment they feel the "mission is accomplished". sounds weird to me but to each his own. different strokes for different folks. |
i'm not angry- what gives you that impression. just making my point for the "new" recruits. |
never seen him without cornrows before. |

^^quit fixating on what nigerian girls are or arent doing, and focus more on how you can improve your understanding of life and what it entails. unless, of course, your human trafficking activites are paramount. in which case, direct your posts at the hookers you patronize and p.imp out. |
is this kind of thread really necessary given the bad rap nigerian men have with women? please try to rebrand if possible. if not, too bad. |
^^dont even think of going on a jihad with me, cos i'm well aware some of you want to carry this islamic banking thing on your heads. i will still speak my mind and if you dont like it, too bad. goldieluks, stay out of my way because if you insist on being an irritant, then two can play that game. |
^^did i say it was an insult? ![]() the phrase i used was "get off my back". |
