the common man is supposed to obtain a canoe or kayak to paddle himself around.

this is what happens when land dwellers flood coastal regions.

you dont know what to do since you have no experience living on water.
this houses were built on natural water ways, thus blocking the flow of water

by demolishing them, u create this way again

for example

there is place in inner makoko where the road linking makoko to yaba was cut into half by water.

this shows that that is the natural way of the water
quite a lot of lagos was sandfilled during colonial times, to create more residential areas.

flood plains in lagos include Ikosi-Ketu, Ajegunle, Mile 12, Agiliti, Thomas Laniyan Estate, Owode-Onirin, Agboyi, Owode Elede, Maidan and Isheri North Scheme.

also, some of the flooding is caused by release of water from dams.

Our 16-rim well is now well filled up. No thanks to the rain.
wow, that's serious.

never seen a deep well filled to the brim with dirty water before.

usually, most wells which brim to the top, have clean fresh water in them.

in normal situations.

But guess what? I love tracking people. I can place the Yoruba, I can place the Hausa, I can place the Fulani, I can place the Beriberi (they are co-locators with Yoruba), but I am yet to place Igbo.
that's because you're ignoring the other groups in the area.

I haven't met my wife and I already KNOW that I will cheat on her to keep my sanity
you'll still lose the sanity regardless, and i suspect you know you've lost it already.

As a kid, did you have the same toy for 30 years or did you drive the same car for that long?
duh.

So if he goes to a strip club or massage parlor and gets his ice cream cone licked, and comes back home all smiling and says I love you and all that jargon, would you know what he had just done? If only you women knew the half of what men do behind your backs
especially the downlow ones who love this sort of thing.

some will frequent transvestites and pretend they thought the males were female.

deliver us from evil o lord!!!!

@ Tpia, your analysis is very funny, lol, naso
had to modify it because people are very militant about polygamy and cheating.

some are even homicidal over the matter.

dayokanu:
Look at societies where Polygamy is allowed and let me know how many men were monogamous?

Going by biblical records as a start In the old testament How many of the Men there were monogamous?

100-200yrs ago How many of the men were monogamous? In Islamic societies How many men are monogamous?

Despite the fact that Monogamy is not a punishable offence, ppl still chose to avoid it.

Note: All these examples I gave you are not related to Dayokanu nor are they Dayokanus friends
there was a discussion on another thread, about tuareg men who by and large are monogamous.

iranians also seem to be monogamous.

havent read through this thread because i dont like facing the bigots who always jump on such topics.

why do most nigerian men [and many of the women] always insist NO man can be naturally monogamous? huh

i find this puzzling.

is it that difficult to believe or accept that there are men who cant and dont see themselves with multiple women? huh

say for example someone who survived a natural disaster that wiped out everybody he knows, or who was raised in various orphanages while growing up- these are extreme examples [since you believe monogamous feelings are abnormal in males] of incidences which would give someone a natural instinct for monogamy. undecided

What I am saying is people are Monogamous because of the law and societal opinions, Not because they innately desire to be Monogamous.
what a general statement.

by people i assume you mean men.

and why would you say no man has an innate desire to be monogamous, just because you and your friends arent? huh

and killing the wife will NOT solve or validate your problem. undecided

many times people read the bible and fail to realize a lot of the things we consider "stories" there are in fact frighteningly true for others.

this parable of the prodigal son/daughter is one of them, lord have mercy.

just went through an old thread on nl that sent shivers through me. undecided

the person they allegedly robbed was also said to be nigerian.

which nigerian goes by the name mohammed omar adam? huh

in nigeria that would be mohammed/muhammadu/mohmoh  umaru  adamu.

strange i must say!!!!!!!!

all of them must have changed their names, if indeed they're nigerians.

Please modify your post and remove bolded. there are hungry people everywhere that will try your suggestion tonight. Please remove it do not argue
if an atm machine keeps coming up short, i think this would trigger an investigation which would include reviewing camera footage and all transactions done at that particular machine.

Another? Don't blame you! I don't have to go and give to the Church every sunday considering the fact that the Lord has blessed me. I do however do more charity donations and work outside the Church. Pastors are the ones who whine and not me. And because they couldn't get from me occasionally, they resort to cursing and scripture perversion.
well, sucks for you if you cant drag your grown arse elsewhere.

anyway, in nigeria ugly people are more likely to be rich, so chew on that.

is there a particular reason why you allow threads like these to proliferate on nairaland? huh

posters like deal ordeal, lefulefu, mobo666, tosinville, etc are a disgrace to nigeria.

we already have enough tribal bashing, drug couriers, 419ers, scammers, etc- so it's not like there'll be nothing to do should these apes of no origin not post on this forum.

most of the ones mentioned are already scammers anyway.
