Politics › Re: Stop Calling Children Witches - Ministry Of Women Affairs by tpia5: 2:24pm On Jun 21, 2011
i think the problem may be linked to cultic activities or the like.

the fears may for the most part be exaggerated, but some kids might have been exposed to cult activity which many times is based on esoterism.

nevertheless, this is why people need Christ.

I remember a few years back when NB also showed us some of the "failed contestants" on Gulder Ultimate Search". It was a pathetic site. We saw people who could not swim jumping into the swimming pool and then hanging on to the ledge waiting to be rescued.

When Oceanic Bank also announced its football talent show, we saw "old" men who were willing to do anything to be a part.

Anytime I see things like this, I get depressed.
e be like say you go dey depress a lot if all these things are worrying you.

dem never even start.

our women too like money if not what are they doing with those people that look like white monkey and cannot perform their conjugal duty like proper blackmen. honestly our women are really disgracing us, God forbid me having a grandchild from those people.
one of the funniest comments on this thread.

^^true, its extremely low in in west africa.

pleep:
In Africa, as we now Learn, the Chinese are the dominant ethnic group. These Chinese/African marriages are not as unusual as the article is making it out to be. Self hating North Sudanese women often get with Chinese contruction workers so they can have lighter skinned children.
are you sure about that because there's no guarantee the kids will have light skin. Lighter than the mother maybe but not necessarily lighter than the father.

^^true, the northerners hold the secret to extremely good kunu.

it takes time, but gets better with practice i should think.
Food › Re: Nigerian Girls And Their Crave For Junk Meals by tpia5: 4:02am On Jun 21, 2011
^^kunu isnt yogurt.

i think you're referring to fura de nunu.

kunu is made from millet/guinea corn and isnt exclusive to fulani alone.

in fact, i've made it before though it probably wasnt as tasty as the original in nigeria.

tom28:
Yogurt is good and besides its quite popular among the fulanis. You see fulani girls selling it in any part of the country.
i actually meant the fan yogurt which is commonly sold in nigeria.

the fulani one is also good but it's found mainly outside the south.
Food › Re: Nigerian Girls And Their Crave For Junk Meals by tpia5: 3:28am On Jun 21, 2011
not sure what you folks are arguing about but oatmeal is very much available in nigeria.

likewise greek yogurt has always been in nigeria and was recently introduced to the US where it caught on.

i think agege bread is also in the works.

Bassetti

not every nigerian likes the idea of dating or being friends with someone who is half-something.

True, people are more open minded these days but even then being mixed isnt necessarily always seen as a good thing especially when it comes to marriage. People tend to associate the person with the non-them side (dont know if you understand that) ie the "other" side.

It takes time occasionally before you can fit in, and in some circles, you generally cant.

I'm not saying its a good or bad thing, however. Just stating the way things are.

Also, its not just a nigerian/AA thing. Its nigerian/wherever.
Romance › Re: Broke Up With Boyfriend Want Him Back -help by tpia5: 1:20am On Jun 21, 2011
Not sure the guy isnt considering other options.

Either that or "ogun idile" is at work here, hence his seemingly unfocused attitude.

I'd say stop calling him, and when dating, you dont need to limit yourself to nigerians alone.

Or visit nigeria and meet other people.

The story of Brazil though interesting to us, but it is extremely painful for black people in south America
true, but i think by and large, their heritage and history is still there.
