your friend needs to settle down before they call her mammy water.

maybe she's emotionally distant or sleeps with her male acquaintances too fast. She might end up not liking them after the act.

or vice versa i guess.

poster, next time, in a gathering, dont volunteer personal information about yourself especially as relates to your background.

just chat about general issues, or join them in whatever they're talking about.

Nigerian guys date/marry girls that are 100 percent AA; why do you think they will have issues with someone that is 50 percent akata and 50 percent naija?

If you were half white, that might also count for something with some of them.

Unfortunately, nigerians are in the business of creating mixed people all over the planet, but integrating these mixed people is another thing entirely.

Of course its possible you said something or acted in a manner that put them off, but even then the sudden coolness is rather weird.[/quote]

Leave voluntarily or face harsher consequences. Also, many were free blacks.

Politics › Re: Great Leaders In Nigeria's History Before Total Colonisation by tpia5: 3:38am On Jun 20, 2011
The size of Brazil and the Quilombos or free states or territories controlled by runaway or free slaves was important in infusing relative sense of autonomy and maintaining cultural practices like in Salvadore/Bahia etc.
at some point, african babalawos [native priests] were being sent to brazil enmasse either as slaves or free men accompanying the slaves. The reasons for this arent yet clear but it did happen. Some were also exiled for instigating the local populace. eg in congo or angola one particularly troublesome native doctor was exiled to brazil [one of many in what was the trend then]. He met the former administrator of his birthplace there, who then sent him back to africa.

so, these priests exported much of the african gods and religions, and helped integrate them overseas. Likewise many muslim slaves brought over from west africa [males] did the same for their own religion.

however, when the continued efforts of all these people [christians included], led to insurgencies and slave revolts, many were deported back to africa [or different parts of brazil] while others left voluntarily.

The Portuguese were never an aggressive lot like her fellow European journey men
they were, in the congo.

and they were in west africa to get slaves, nothing more.

Romance › Re: Arab Men And Black Women by tpia5: 2:46am On Jun 20, 2011
Yes, in arab lands marrying blacks is frowned on, especially when the couple is arab male vs black female. To a lesser extent, i dont think black males marrying arab females is encouraged either but it could still happen though with some disapproval which could be minimized if the man is rich.

In arab lands, black women often can only function as concubines, nothing more. At most, probably a wife of extremely low rank in a polygamous household- if at all.

Arabs overseas however, (especially lebanese) have been known to marry local women in their places of residence but i have no idea how long the marriages last or if the wife and offspring of the union would be accepted should they visit the man's original country.

Just my opinion.

Family › Re: Why Is It Okay For Adults To Be Rude And They Can Be Never Wrong? by tpia5: 2:25am On Jun 20, 2011
True many adults are quite rude but there's really little that can be done about that.

Nigerians especially have some really bad eggs who happen to be grown but one just has to try to work with them if its unavoidable.

Why cant she help her mum out in the restaurant? huh She can avoid the men if she wants to- all that depends on the type of restaurant involved. If it isnt a sleazy one then such behaviour wouldnt be tolerated there.

When my mum dealt in minor business like that, i helped her out (not a restaurnt though) because after all its for the good of the whole family. Likewise my friend helped her own mum the same way.
We need to hear more of the story because the op hasnt presented enough detail to justify people hating on her mum.

If her mum owns a restaurant, why would the children remain unfed? huh That's very strange and makes me wonder if the girl stayed at home doing nothing while the mother was running herself ragged trying to stay afloat.

And what happened to the father? huh

Quite clearly you have itchy wetincall and i dont know who you're trying to f.ool here.

You might have sampled all the nigerian touts and scammers in your neighborhood and are here scouting for fresh meat.  Like i said, go to sexuality section or just advertise here- help is on the way.

i dont know why some of you people insist on remaining d.aft.

why not stay in sexuality section where they discuss things better suited to your understanding.

brainwork isnt your forte. undecided
