Bimffo: Please anything You dont know, dont say it..!
Iwilade did his best anf We all like him for that. RIP to him..
But OAU is NOT the Only school you can walk anytime without you having any fear of intimidation or harassment.. For Example, In the school I attend (FUNAAB) We FUNAABITES walk anytime of the day and night and we are not confronted!
And I am sure there are other Federal schools in Nigeria that allow their students to walk anytime of the night! obviously there was tension or something going on in the years leading up to 1999. there is nothing unusual about walking anywhere on campus at anytime. The states of emergency some folks are describing, must have been in the immediate years before the killings. Most OAU students would not know what some people here (who probably never attended the school) are talking about |

In one interview she said “I have donated my husband to the Nigerian workers”, so she went through all that pain and the day we were inaugurated is usually the day where women put on their very best, befitting a stature of the first lady of a state. But on that occasion, we discussed how to appear because we didn’t have the opportunity of long planning. I was declared on the 11th as the winner of the election and was to be sworn in on the 12th.
So I said to her, I can’t change my identity now because I have been a worker and have used khaki as a factory worker and President of the NLC, and I don’t want to look different and she agreed. Rather than going to buy lace, she opted to wear the same khaki, except that my own was better sown than hers because the woman who made her own was not used to sowing khaki for women. http://www.bellanaija.com/2013/11/16/she-was-my-real-love-governor-adams-oshiomole-on-why-he-is-yet-to-re-marry/if the woman had known, she for no suffer herself unnecessarily like that. lord have mercy. Not wearing better clothes because of the husband, yet the khaki is nowhere to be found now. what's the point? just thinking out loud. |

In traditional African (Nigerian) culture, the woman goes by her husband's first name (ie, wife of somebody, not wife of somebody's father/grandfather/patriarch), and after that she is called by her children's names. The practice of taking on the family surname is a western tradition which was introduced to Nigeria, not saying anything's wrong with it though.
Nairalanders like to copy western culture in a very uncivilized way, that's why you see them on nl insulting women/their origins/their ancestors at every opportunity they get, parroting breast and buttocks 24/7 then expecting to be taken seriously by these same women, in short, just no sense of direction at all since they are ignorant of what it means to be manly. |

same way akara is sold by females in nigeria but men prepare and sell it in the middle east. |
