His dad said he (dad) was making half a million pounds per annum in the 1950s or 1960s.

so, do the maths.

TeamSimple:
Statistics from nairaland based on comprehension, judgement, and comments express why most of our youths are unemployable.
saying someone is unemployable shows you probably bought your qualifications, or else were given a free ride.

an educated person doesn't talk like that.

You are free to believe what you like. Its a free country. I attended FGGC Benin, finished 1989. I studied 21 subjects in Class 1 (later changed to JSS1) because we were migrated to 6-3-3-4 system the following year.
that's strange but maybe the schools had different schedules.
Politics › Re: Buhari Wants Islamic Books Included In Federal Schools' Curriculum by tpiander: 10:34pm On Aug 03, 2015
or do you mean 6334 started a year before your set? huh

ohzee:
I used JSS1 here for clarity's sake. I was in the second set that switched to 6-3-3-4 and spent an extra year. It wasn't funny then. The problem we have now in Nigeria is that there is a lot of religious and tribal insensitivity. There is also a lot of mutual suspicion. Our leaders need to be careful. Nigeria of today is very very different from 1984.
Are you saying in your school, you started with Class 1 (different curriculum) and then switched to JS2 the following year? huh

I have never heard of such.

A lot of technical and computer skills and classes were introduced into the schools at that time (or were supposed to have been introduced).

And the type of scenario you just described, was what was specifically prevented. There was to be absolutely no mixing at all. You either started with the system or you didn't.

of course I'm open to correction if wrong? huh

^ JSS is the 6334 system.

if you were in JS1, that means you were in 6334.
Politics › Re: Buhari Wants Islamic Books Included In Federal Schools' Curriculum by tpiander: 9:47pm On Aug 03, 2015
@ ohzee

it would only have been compulsory in federal schools due to the introduction of the new JSS curriculum (or vice versa, ie the new JSS structure might have made it mandatory). The curriculum was not in other schools until the following year I think.

were you unaware you were the pioneer set?

where is the man from, because as i pointed out when the "news" was first published here on nairaland some years ago (or last year), this whole charade may be linked to politics.

since nairaland is now styling itself as a "political godfather" type specializing in "placing" their political candidates in key govt positions, I assume the reason why this was recycled and moved to front page is because the political jobbers have something cooking?

i think Ado Ekiti has the highest number of indigenous muslims in the Ekiti region (someone correct me if I'm wrong), so i would not be surprised if the man was actually a muslim from the getgo.

the federal schools started JSS a year before non-federal schools.

the poster was the pioneer set, if that's really her story and not someone else's.

federal schools are the elite secondary schools in nigeria (used to be comparable to private schools, not sure if that's still the case), however, i'm not sure of the student demographics? huh

Sometimes good, sometimes bad... At the first instant, I feel very sorry.. May beg only once And won't continue beggn... More like its up to u to forgv or not...
Cutehector:
for real? Lol... Some people just want u to beg and beg and beg till u wear urself out... U can imajine... And if u don't beg at all, they say, and he ddint even say sorry at all..
apologizing is different from begging, the two are not the same.

i guess you mean "beg" as is used in nigeria, but the apologizing I'm referring to is when you apologize for giving offence, not necessarily because you want a favour.
