nah lol. its dead. i was only talking about it because someone said igbos dont have a site like nairaland. i was helping out our igbo brothers by letting them know they did but it folded
it might be getting revived, maybe in another form.

there used to be biafraworld.com which was a very active site specifically for Biafrans only, i was surprised to check it a while ago and it was like dodo.

I am sorry to hurt my feelings but I must know the truth. I am not very bright. Why not stick to the romance section?
you give yourself too much credit.

anyway, as i was saying, the reason you are having this argument is because you fail to acknowledge the fact that the earth is curved. Your insistence on saying the niger can be made to flow upwards simply because the nile flows northwards, is the flaw in your reasoning which you refuse to consider.

the fact is, the earth is curved, and any river follows this natural curve of the earth, regardless which direction your mind is telling you it went. You need to wonder, going by your "logic" why rivers are not pouring into outer space!

If you can think out of the box instead of being narrow minded, you will understand these things. And yelling, screaming, cursing till tomorrow, will not prevent me from typing what i want to type on this thread. Sorry!

Thanks Lord For Everything
Hallelujah from the heavens
Hallelujah in the heights above the earth
Hallelujah all His angels
Hallelujah for the last will be first
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord

Hallelujah in the morning
Hallelujah for the beauty of His scars
Hallelujah in the twilight
Hallelujah sun and moon and shining stars
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord

When the night seems so long (throw your hands to the sky)
You can sing a new song (wipe the tears from your eyes)
When you're weak, He is strong
He can heal your wounded soul
And calm the storm inside

For all your times of laughter
In every hopeful prayer
When the world weighs on your shoulders
Through sorrow and your despair
With everything, with every breath, praise the Lord
Let everything, let every breath praise the Lord
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord
Let everything, let every breath praise the Lord

When the night seems so long (throw your hands to the sky)
You can sing a new song (wipe the tears from your eyes)
When you're weak, He is strong
He can heal your wounded soul
And calm the storm inside

Attend registry marriage and see the registrar hand over the marriage certificate to the bride "for safe keep".
Have the registrar give it to you when you marry, or collect it from your bride.

Really, nlers whine and nag too much over the same thing every single day, its annoying.

Must you be so vulgar, obscene and aggressive in order to make a point?

Learn how to engage in civil discusdion, i did not insult you in my responses, so why are you so banal?

whats with the over the top personal attacks which portray you as entirely uncouth and very primitive?

folks should learn to type without displaying bitterness all the time.

Although of course i dont know your story or what made you this way.

the nile flowing north does not mean rivers can flow vertically north and neither can the niger be stopped from flowing south, dont know where you got that from.

the earth is not square, but spherical, so the nile flowing what seems to you to be upwards, is actually following a curve downwards along the earth's topography.

I suggest folk google Dried Rivers.

also colorado dries.

The assumption that the River Niger is a PERMANENT feature of our geography is naive. A northern Nigeria separate from the south can divert the Niger from the south completely ,Niger can do it and other countries can too. Honestly the real surprise is why they have not done so already. Niger Republic could divert tthe whole river and create an agricultural paradise in the desert. I can only assume they have not done so because of funds.
i dont see why they'd divert the entire river and even if they did, it still has to flow south, just that there'd be a lot of displacement of people.

likewise whatever is done to niger can also be done to benue via cameroon, so its still the same hypothetical scenario.

Technically, even though Calabar was officially British, it was also German.

likewise Adamawa to the north, was split into British and German territory.

I doubt the op has that kind of exposure to be able to polish the tale properly.

unless she is referring to a tiny business.

her even bringing the "quandary" to nairaland shows she cant possibly be in the situation she described, rather, she took the hearsay and attempted to develop it into a story.
