Ubenedictus: It is a most funny this to make such emphatic statements on what constitute Christian teaching when it seems you are ignorant of Christian teaching yourself.
The practice of fasting along with worship is a most ancient practice in the Christian Church, the practice is older that all protestants churches and communities. We see the 1st hint of fasting while in worship in the bible Act 13:2a "while they were all worshiping the Lord and fasting..."
"From the very earliest time the custom was observed of administering the Eucharist to the faithful who were fasting. Toward the end of the fourth century fasting was prescribed by many Councils for those who were going to celebrate the Eucharistic Sacrifice. So it was that the Council of Hippo in the year 393 issued this decree: 'The Sacrament of the altar shall be offered only by those who are fasting.' Shortly afterward, in the year 397, the Third Council of Carthage issued this same command, using the very same words. At the beginning of the fifth century this custom can be called quite common and immemorial. Hence St. Augustine affirms that the Holy Eucharist is always received by people who are fasting and likewise that this custom is observed throughout the entire world".
My dear incase you don't know the council of Hippo and Carthage are the council that gave us the bible that you use in bragging around today.
So if you claim the practice of fasting before the eucharist is not a Christian practice then you may also throw away your bible because the council that gave you the bible and a great catalogue of early Christian rightly teach that it is a Christian practice.
If your church isn't practicing it that is your cup of tea, but you can't come and start pontificating on what are Christian practices and what are not when you yourself is ignorant of the practices of the Christian church before the 20 century.
Respect owe gi. Thanks for the usual Catholic history lesson. But for emphasis, the below statement was what I was DIRECTLY responding to... . . . ...as a christian(Catholic),i was taught to always go to church with an empty stomach to show sign of sincerity for christ. . . . So you can save your history lesson for your fellow Catholics who do not know Catholic doctrines. . . Ekenekwaa m gi. |

Adultnextdoor: Happy sunday my dear nairalanders!...how was church?.....as for me ,i couldn't make it to church today due to the rainfall......Anyway guys,i've been wondering if it is truely christianic of a person to eat before going to church......as a christian(Catholic),i was taught to always go to church with an empty stomach to show sign of sincerity for christ......So does breaking this christianic rule change or affects your relationship with God?or does it count as nothing important? HAPPY SUNDAY TO YOU ALL!!!! Cc:Lalasticlala,Ishilove,Orijin101 That teaching like you said is Catholic. It has nothing to do with Christianity. |

drdams: Since you want to go technical as per legality. it my pleasure to inform you that CORPORATE account in Banks encompasses both Sole Proprietors, Partnership and Company. The last time I checked, the assumption of a LEGAL Personality only applies to COMPANIES. Thus the veil of incorporation does not affect Drdams & Co, Chukwu & Sons, Dr. Dams enterprise etc.
are you still maintaining the stand point that these exceptions do not need BVN validation? No need stretching it for vain glory. Enjoy your day |

What happens to those who refuse to do the BVN thing? will their accounts be closed? will their money be gone? drdams: common Mr. oga. you are talking based on what you read on the lines.
how would you take finger prints, picture, and other required biometric requirement for a Corporate Entity. there will never be BVN for CORPORATE ACCOUNT. the status quo now is for all signatories of corp accounts and its affiliates to validate their BVN on them. These has been the norm at least in some banks stop arguing blindly.
Its BIOMETRIC sire. Yes sir, you are talking based on what you know, I am talking based on what I know. Maybe bc I used the term BVN for corporate account. Okay, with time, each corporate account will be assigned a VN based on a method yet to be declared. I hope you know that legally, a corporate entity is a "person" and regarded separately from its directors or signatories. So a corporate account will eventually have a unique identifier that would record all the activities of the account, NOT the signatories, in the banking system. For instance, when a corporate account accesses a facility, the deal is recorded for the account, and not for the signatories who are not personally liable. |

joyoffreedom: I have done mine but I use another name to opeen an account what can l do about that. Can l go and do another one? Pope22: What about those who have different bank accounts in different banks but with different names? The one you do in one, will it cover for others even when they are different names? One of the essence of BVN is to eliminate fraud from the banking system. That is, to identify people who use different names to open accounts. So the questions you guys are asking is of no use because you have ONLY ONE SET of FINGERPRINTS. once you get your BVN, and go for a second registration, your fingerprint will show you have registered before under a different name. One man. One name. One face. One set of FINGERPRINTS. Alarm don blow |

drdams: @ OP . its nt just for individual account holders. all signatories to corporate accounts, joint accounts and the likes are expected to validate their personal BVN on these accounts. afterall signatories cant claim not to have individual accounts.
Some banks had stop granting credit facilities to corporate account holders with signatories yet to register for BVN since. For now, there is no BVN registration for corporate accounts. It is only for individual accounts. |

You need to go to ecobank so that they will see your face and verify your fingerprints before the BVN can be attached to your account |
