I'm not so interested in the technical specifications of these toys. I'm more concerned with the resolve of the Russians to follow through with their threats. But something is telling me that Putin will back down from this resolution, not out of fear or intimidation but because he desperately wants to restore his relationship with the Americunts.

CSE- Case Specific Enquiry, a means of initiating communication with the visa office, letting them know that your application has exceeded the normal processing times and as well sending an additional information/documents, which you think can boast your chances of approval.

My application is one month old. So I feel that if I write them, somehow they will be jolted to start elgibility review of the application.

Hello Bro, I was going to suggest if it was OK to order your case notes after my suspension is lifted. Will this not help give you an idea of what may be holding up your application? With the insight, you may be able to do something about what may be holding your file down.

My Medicals was done on the 27th after receiving medical instruction on the 23rd of August. Having been waiting since then, I began to considering ordering for case notes before my PPR arrived. Hopefully, you will get feedback before the case notes arrive but it may be worth the effort.

Bro for someone whose application is just a month old can I order for my case notes. Honestly, I just need the CiC to expedite action on my application. Up till now my application is still at background check. Don't think I'm being greedy I just hate waiting unnecessary.

Please can somebody let me know if there is a way to know which visa consulate/embassy is processing your application. I submitted my application online and I'm about writing to the embassy about the progress of my application, but problem is that I don't know which embassy to write to.

Thanks for the advice. No man is an island. I could stand to be forceful and I have just done that today, sent another email been more forceful. But to say I am hurting would not be the truth.To say that might even reek desperation to the VO. I have a great life in Nigeria and could build a bright future here too. I am clearly not hurting. Whenever they choose to process me at this point is their business. I am not going to put my life on hold for them so that if it doesn't work out, I become not useful to my country. I want to avoid that pitfall. My hands are on the plough. One with God is majority. Thanks again and wishing all success. I will come here from time to time to answer questions and dole out nuggets of wisdom I was opportuned to learn throughout the process. Cheers!

They are just not predictable. Sometimes online route may get faster result than paper, other times paper route maybe faster. The thing with these V.Os that I've noticed is that they just don't have any rules. They apply whatever suits them. It's just a crazy system

Exactly one year ago. Missed fall 2017 resumption and this was understandable cos I submitted late September. Deffered to Sept 2018 and have missed it now. No update on application. Everytime I write them it is generic message. Since profile changed to medical request pass, it's been dormant. It's pretty ridiculous what these people are doing. Very bad. Thank God I have a job I love and did not put my life on the hold for these guys. USASK full dean scholarship recepient. I don't think the schook will hold my award in perpetuity. I am starting to forget about this visa thing let them get back to me at their own time, I can't afford to worry or have hypertension.

I'm not trying to sound funny. But if I were you my emails to them will be a lot more forceful. I will write with lines like: "V.O. I'm running a risk of losing my studentship with the delay of my visa application and as you may well know - I invested a lot in gaining this merit scholarship, please if there's anyway I can help to expedite the evaluation of my application kindly let me know". I believe it's undoubtedly ungodly what these V.Os' are doing to you, so there's no need for you to keep remaining in the closet. You need to let them know that you're are hurting, for me it doesn't smack of any desperation.

I submitted my visa application on the 30th of August online route, I did upfront medicals I got my biometrics done the next day and the medicals have been updated as passed on the 9th of Sept. Despite that my application is just barely a month, I'm beginning to grow restless, I've even started sending them mails and I will keep bombarding them with mails until they respond and hopefully favorably.

One more thing do you know the visa consulate handling your application?

Honestly, the amount of time Canada takes in processing a simple visa is depressing. When I see June applicants still waiting for a response/decision on their application my heart sinks - I'm like, am I sure I shouldn't have looked for another country to pursue my post graduate ambitions. The way some of these embassies treat Nigerians' applications is just not fair, despite raking in billions in applications from Nigeria. I guess it's high time Nigerians protested this unfair treatment from Canada.

Isn't it wicked for an embassy to decline someone's application after holding unto the person's application for 12weeks?. Haba!

Yes, send a CSE to request the status of your application, they might reply that they have forwarded your request to the visa consulate processing the application.

I plan on going on my biometrics tomorrow but problem is that I dont have my passport with me. I only have a scanned copy of my data page. Can I take the print out to the VAC tomorrow or do I need to come with my paspport.

While I admit with your submission that Nigeria is a shithole country, I will advice you to not for once think that Canada is an eldorado. I have lived in the United States, and have visited many European countries, i can say that most Nigerians with the kind of mentality that you have end up being not only disappointed in their expectations but utter failures.

People I plan on going to do my biometrics tomorrow but I dont have my passport because it is with the British Embassy. Please can I go with a scanned copy or a softcopy of my Intl Passport. Or maybe can i go with a coloured print-out of the data page of my passport. Please someone should kindly rescue me.

Do you mean to say you have not done your bionetrics? I submitted an online application yesterday and just this morning I got the biometric collection letter. I just tire for these Canadian people, they are just damn unpredictable.

People please is there any penalty from the VO for typographical errors in someone's SOP. I submitted my SOP but somehow I had cause to go back to it only to find that one of the dates I refrenced in the letter stated 2108 instead of 2018. Also, I noticed same mistake in the sponosr's letter of support, he wrote "inthis" instead of "in this", please is there a way for me to correct these mistakes.

You can combine the letter with other documents you like to attach, as long as you keep the size less/equal to 4mb. For my online application, for example, I was able to attach all the extra documents like marriage certificate, degree certificates, transcript, birth certificates etc etc (up to like 40pages) to the letter.

If you can torrent a full version of Nitro pdf, it could make your PDF editing and merging a lot easier.

@Jnyuwa02, I hope I won't be breaking any rule if I add additional docs to the section for LOE/SOP. I asked because these visa officers sometimes can be unpredictable.

I know McGill university. But problem is, there deadline for winter session is Sept 1st, I know there are many schools that offer admission for the winter session. You may use this site to lookup for schools: univ.cc when you get into the site go under the link for Canada there you will be able to see all the schools in Canada.

I noticed that not too many docs can be submitted using the online route. Am I wrong? or is there a way to submit other docs, not only the ones provided by the IRCC

People (though I know this question may be peripheral) but can anyone tell me how long it takes for someone to be called to do his biometrics after submission.

@Jnyuwa02, Please let me inquire from you; Can I online submit my application and upload the medicals maybe in two days time, I just did my medicals today and the medical center said the result will be out on Monday, but I want to submit my application tomorrow - hence my question.

Secondly, the bank statement I used; since I did not know which address I will address the statement to I asked the bank to send it to the following address:

You're to download and fill Application for study permit made outside of Canada imm1294, Family information imm5645, Schedule 1 Application for a temporary resident visa imm5257. One you get in the cic site and select study option, scroll down you see a blue underlined place showing get all forms in lower casing. Download the forms there. Look at the forms you're filling carefully because cic wouldn't treat if a wrong form is uploaded

I beleive the documents to submit on online application is pretty self explanatory after you have signed up and opened an online profile. Admission letters go where admission letter is suppose to be. Evidence of financial support are your bank statements, school receipt payment, letter of sponsor support or any scholarship letter. They have their own area. Then your CIC forms go where indicated. Every other document including your SOP go to the Client Information section.
