You have to make time and fly to Abuja then. What is keeping so much from going to Abuja? Work that you will soon resign? I know someone who authorized her mom to pick her passport. Maybe they changed the policy now. They always make the threat of sending it back, but the policy is to hold it for 30 days before sending back.

Ps: sending it back to Lagos means sending it back to the Canadian government and consular office where it was granted in Lagos.
Thanks a lot. I will call'em tomorrow and if it warrants going to ABJ sure I will be there on Thursday.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Trapping(m): 3:23pm On Nov 19, 2018
Please those who have collected their stamped passport, is there a time stamp for collecting the passport after which it reverts back to the embassy. I got a call from VAC asking me to come collect my passport else they send it back to Lagos (I don't understand what that means). Please help it is urgent!
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Trapping(m): 3:10pm On Nov 19, 2018
jnyuwa02:
Probably your application was processed and granted in Lagos? That is what they mean, Passport sent to the processing office. That will complicate things if your passport is sent back to the embassy. You can give someone a consent form to pick up your passport for you or better, take a flight or overnight bus to Abuja.
Yeah, it was granted in Lagos. They said I'm the only one that can pick it up.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Trapping(m): 10:24am On Nov 19, 2018
@JNYUWA I don't know if you're familiar with this case - I need you to rescue me. So I got a call from VAC Abuja requesting that I pick up my stamped passport from their office or they will have to send it back to Lagos. I'm not in Abuja or anywhere near Abj. So what do they mean when they say they will return the passport to Lagos? Please clarify me, I'm kinda scared. I actually want to pick-up the passport when I get to Lagos as I'm about leaving.

They do not confirm passport received. Thirty days starts from the day Abuja got your passport. Passport leaves every Wednesday from Abuja and is couriered to Lagos overnight delivery. I will advice you call VFS to confirm the receipt of your passport or chat them up via online live chat.
Thanks mightily.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Trapping(m): 9:41pm On Oct 30, 2018
Please house I am worried, I sent my passport through courier to VAC Abuja for visa stamp, but I am yet to get a confirmation email from them, though I discovered that it has been delivered since monday when I tracked it - Is this normal? Secondly, am I within the 'thirty days' if I sent my passport to VAC Abuja or does the thirty days mean the total time it takes the passport to get to Lagos consulate.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Trapping(m): 6:50pm On Oct 26, 2018
People I need an urgent rescue - I have asked this question before. To those who have submitted their original passport by mail, When submitting your passport to the VAC you did your biometrics did you include any trasmission fee? I have sent my passport through courrier to abuja VAC but didnt include any fee or reciept of money paid to immigration account.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Trapping(m): 2:24pm On Oct 25, 2018
jnyuwa02:
Abuja accumulates the passports and sends them out every Wednesday. Once out, it takes only one day to be in Lagos. If you have anything urgent, I will advice you talk to Abuja ASAP so you do not miss any deadlines.
Thank you Jnyuwa, God bless you!
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Trapping(m): 12:09pm On Oct 25, 2018
@Jnyuwa, do you know how many days it will take VAC in Abuja to send someone's passport to Lagos embassy. I ask because I've only 10 days to submit my passport. I've already sent the passport to vAC in Abuja, because I dont want to pay that unnecessary passport transmission fee.

But from what I was told at Lagos vfs, no one can pick up your stamped passport, it has to be you.
I appreciate mightily!

Remember to send it with a copy of your Biometrics slip and receipt as evidence that you did biometrics there. I forgot that document at home as I thought it was something they could easily verify on their system but had to go back to pick it.
Thanks so much!
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Trapping(m):
@Henricson,

I did my Biometrics in Abuja VAC. If I'm to send my passport there, does it mean I will not include any service charge? What if also I'm to pick up the passport through an appointed representative what happens then.. Please if you can throw just a little more light on the process, because just like everything Canada there processes seem cumbersome.

OR,

Maybe just include the link of the article you cited above so that I can read what's written there.

PoliticsRe: Igbo Group Dares Kanu, IPOB Over 2019 Elections by Trapping(m): 1:07pm On Oct 22, 2018
There will be massive turnout of voters in the SE. We the Igbos are incredibly transactional. We will support NK's vision of Biafra. But if the opportunity comes to vote for our own, not even 10 Kanu's can stop that.

Igbos will vote massively for PDP, you can take this to the bank. Hopefully, from next month once the campaign kicks in it will be clear that NK does not control the minds and hearts of the Igbos' as Buhari's lame media are making it look like.

@jnyuwa I have been seeing your comments on this forum for a long time now, before and after I got my approval, but chose to mind my business. I did not mention you in my comment, yet you chose to antagonize me. You are one to say someone is on a high horse, when all you've done here is exude irritating pride. I believe those who knew you on this thread as at last year can also attest to this, and we know you suddenly became 'humble' because of the over 1 year timeline on your application.

I have seen you deceive a lot of people on this thread with your lies! Enough with that already! Please, stop coming to lie on this thread.

I've done my in-depth research on you and your files are very readily accessible online. Well, nothing in the Western world is hidden. All the court cases you've had, motions filed, and those dismissed. I've read your files! You're one heck of a case! And you've come here severally to deceive people that you never had issues in the US and you are 'clean as a saint'. Please, stop deceiving people on this thread! "Mr. J.A.N." aka jnyuwa

Mr "I sabi" , Mr "Smart" your first paragraph was not needed atall.. it's still very early. If you don't have any good words for the applicant, it's better you just don't comment. After all, you were not mentioned. gosh!!!
You're a dumbass! @Jnyuwa wasn't trying to poke fun at the OP. Instead, he was only indirectly stating that online applications have started getting refused by the V.Os' on the suspicion that those applications are now being reviewed in Kenya, if you had read the last sentence of the first paragraph you would've noticed this drift. But you are so DUMB to notice that - as you were busy looking for faults in what he wrote.

@Jnyuwa or @anyone, please is it true that one cannot have a visa that exceeds the expiration date of his passport? For E.g. if my passport expires on 20th June 2020 my visa will not extend pass that date.

Stop playing into the hands of Yoruba junk media. What umahi did was just purely political and it is not to be unexpected. The good thing is that he and other (stupid) govs have seen that their plans are not only unpopular but anti people. We have won this round, now is the time to think of how to mobilize at least 80% of SE and SS votes for Atiku/Obi.

Sorry for the loss of your friend. The subject matter of your response has not made a case for anything by his grammatical errors. They will be reading fromK the point that English is not his official language, otherwise they would not have even replied him. The school who gave him admission did this knowing his competance or lack thereof. He is good to go, but I will attach a caveat that next time he writes, especially when dealing with CIC, he should do his due diligence in using more than functional English.
Boss, that guy's English is really bad. Go through what he wrote again, you will almost not make sense out of it. I was even ashamed when I read it, and no doubt the person who will read it will have the feeling that the writer is not serious.

Foreign AffairsRe: Watch S-300 Launchers, Interceptors & Radars Unloaded In Syria After Il-20 Downi by Trapping(m): 8:52am On Oct 06, 2018
Appleyard:
Blow up the system on arrival? Talk is cheap. It's over one week now, and suddenly it's all quiet in the Syrian Frontlines. What we are seeing here is a repeat of the Yugoslavia/ NATO war.

When NATO was about bombing Yugoslavia, the Yugoslavia military requested the S-300 from Russia, but the Kremlin decline the offer because they don't want to be politically involved in the matter. But the Yugo forces were witty, and you know what they did next? Well, they sent some of their army uniforms to a unit of Russian missile forces who took the uniforms, put them on and with them snapped some photos of themselves manning some units of the S-300. After that, they sent the photos back to the Yugo forces who in turn took them and intentionally positioned them for NATO to see. Of course, NATO intelligence saw the photos and guess what happened..
.
The bombardment was delayed for a whole TWO WEEKS. grin cool. Call it ingenuity. cool

This is exactly what is happening now to IDF in Syria following the deployment of the S-300. In fact, the way the entire thing happened so quickly has got some people talking that Moscow might just have played the west by creating a false flag with the IL 20 plane, so they can have the excuse to create an air bubble over Syria. cool

Don't forget that we are talking about Russia--the grandmasters of chess and the god of geopolitics. Those crewmen could easily have parachuted out of the plane and what we have is an empty S-200 targeted IL-20. It's very possible. But again, I might be wrong.

However, one thing is now certain, and even the west knows it, although no one is admitting it: it is that Russia is effectively creating a de facto no fly zone over Syria, considering that the units supplied to Syria are being linked to Russian systems in Syria and to Russian radars mounted on ships across the sea. So even if IDF. Manage to get past one or more of the units, other radar systems would easily pick them up and relay their positions back to other units for a lock-in, shoot and destroy. Ask Israel what Soviet supplied SAMS did to its airforces in the 74 Egyptian war. They lost so many planes and a lot of casualties recorded.

For those armchair kid generals on Nairaland who believe in stealth and glide bombs to take out the S-300, hear this: Russian operates a layered air defense system, which include long, short and medium range SAMS all protecting one another, so the S-300 won't be operating alone. You have Pantsir S1 and S2, Tor M1, BUKs, SOE, etc, protecting the system. The Pantsir the IDF killed last time was sitting idle without weapons, and was not even under command to fire anything against Israel, and that's why Israel apologized after the incident. But this time around, Moscow ears are closed to any apology, and from all indication so far, they are ready to go haywire over the IL-20,and the west got the message very clear. cool

The only way round these systems now for IDF is to attack the Russian sea vessels which is primarily the heart of Russia's radar and EW power base as far as Syria is concerned.

But you and I already know what the answer to that option looks like.

Like Seunny4lif just mentioned, Holiday has come to the airwaves of Syria, and who else did it, the RUSSIAN BEAR! cool cool
Applyeard, you're simply too much! Kudos for this analysis!
