That should be your comfort zone, your haven, your respite, where you don't have to pussyfoot around issues, and can be yourself. a place where you don't need to speak up before your partner deduces that something is worrying you.

The union is supposed to complement both of you and bring out the best in both of you.

And if you look at the excellent imput from my lolo Debosky - which everyone also agreed was outstanding - you would see his analysis about "My advice is this - if you can't take it during marriage, don't take it in courtship. You tolerated this behaviour and it reinforced the idea in her head that she could get away with it"
