Popular OAP and Vlogger, Toke Makinwa, caused a little internet frenzy during the week when a commentator on her Instagram page accused her of not only having a child but also refusing to let the public know shortly after she posted a picture of herself on the social media platform. While some urged her to show the world her ‘child’, others simply asked the commentator to mind her business but Makinwa simply just deleted the post from her account. Some other people may take such a comment to heart and probably lash out at the commentator but it seems Makinwa is having a hearty laughter over the issue because when Saturday Beats reached out to her, she explained that it was laughable that anyone would take such a comment seriously. “I have been in this industry for over six years. My radio career started in 2010 and I am working with one of the most popular radio stations in Nigeria, I was on television and I have a Vlog. If I have a child, everyone would know. It is laughable and there is no iota of truth in that post,” she said.

Nigerian singer and songwriter Nomoreloss has passed on,
but here are a few facts you probably didn’t know about
him.

1. He was born Muyiwa Osinuga over 30 years ago.

2. He attended A.D.R.A.O. International School for his
secondary and primary education in Victoria Island, which
is a highbrow area in Lagos Nigeria.

3. Nomoreloss started out as a rapper before switching to
stand-up comedy and then becoming a singer.

4. In 1999, Nomoreloss released the first single titled ‘Kilode’
from his first album.

5. He was one of popular producer, OJB Jezereel’s protégée.

6. In the year 2013, he was the campaign leader for the ‘Save
OJB’ campaign, which sought for funds for the then ill
producer who was battling with kidney disorder.

7. Nomoreloss became famous following his remix of Orlando
Owoh’s 80s hit, ‘Iyawo Olele’ which he titled ‘Iyawo Asiko’

8. He trained under respected instrumentalist and
saxophonist, Kunle Ajayi.

9. Nomoreloss was behind the funny voice mimicking an
‘aboki’ man in Ruggedman‘s infamous breakout single,
‘Ehen’.

10. Nomoreloss was married to popular Rhythm FM OAP
Phoenix (Adeola Osinuga) in 2008 and welcomed their
daughter in January 2011.

11. He served as a jugde on MTN-sponsored West African
Project Fame for two seasons between 2010 and 2012.

12. A few weeks ago, he was diagnosed of Typhoid Fever and
was hospitalized for a while but was soon discharged.

13. He died yesterday, Tuesday, March 21, 2016 after he was
reportedly rushed to a hospital following a relapse.

A 28-year-old woman, Ifeoma Okoroafor, on Friday
told a Gudu Upper Area Court in the Federal Capital
Territory that she inflicted injuries on a man because he
touched her breast.
Okoroafor of Dutse Area of Apo pleaded not guilty to a two-
count charge of joint act and causing hurt contrary to
Section 79 and 245 of the Penal Code.
``My Lord, the nominal complainant, Musa Goddy,
touched me inappropriately and without my consent, while
I was waiting for a commercial vehicle to take me home
after work at night.
``The complainant beat me up and tore my clothes when I
queried him for his action,’’ Okoroafor told the court.
According to her, the timely intervention of three other
women saved me from being killed by the nominal
complainant.
Okoroafor told the court that the cloth she wore to the
court was given to her by a police officer at the station to
enable her appear decently at the court.
The Prosecutor, Urom Inah, told the court that Goddy of
Police Barracks, Garki, reported the matter at the Garki
Police Station on Feb. 28.
Inah said the defendant attacked him and used bottle to
inflict injuries on him for no reason.
He said Okoroafor could not give any satisfactory account
of her actions during police investigation.
The judge, Alhaji Umar Kagarko, granted bail to the
defendant in the sum of N20,000 with one reliable surety in
like sum.
Kagarko said that the surety must reside within the court’s
jurisdiction, and adjourned the case till May 9 for hearing.
