I finally got a quote of $86.40 for my baby's ticket with Lufthansa airlines as against the initial crazy quote of $356 I got earlier even after calling them on 3 different occasions and speaking with their supervisor, trying to get an explanation for the high quote.

Same here. In fact, as soon as I requested for OGTT, my Dr asked if I dey deliver for USA then I said yes. because everything medical is free for me via my office insurance, I request every and any test...don't judge me
Additionally, if you have a strong family history of Diabetes, OGTT is in place for them to watch out for early signs.

Finally, someone already mentioned that these tests are only relevant as per certain GA. If you arrive US at 30wks+, they wont ask for OGTT except they accept the one you did in naija. Summary: that list someone shared is just a guide. Doesn't meant one single patient will do all of them.

In my first pregnancy, i only did the ones i highlighted above. So i sent same to my obodo oyibo doctor and they asked for OGTT. I asked my Naija doctor and he said we women that go to US always ask for funny tests that are not necessary but he scheduled it for me this week.

However dey were just relocating to NY to start residency and post delivery support is important to me dats why I couldn't even stay and rent a place.

In all JFK was a bliss. Apart from the waiting for luggage there was no other hassle going through the POE.

Well, I think u have ample reason to fret over ur baby's health. Just mention dat condition & tell d story as u've told us here -esp d support u'll get post delivery. Be confident & look dem in d eye. No need to write any letter to embassy! All d best. Praying 4u.

If dey monitored u well, ur baby would have com out by itself. Even if dat didnt Happen, u as a patient would have seen dat dey've even done all dey can before recommending CS. I don't understand why dey suggested CS few mins after induction? Why did dey start d induction in d first place? Didnt d pitocin even worsen baby's condition? U need to report dis o. Deed is already done but it's either u pay for one &forfeit d other. Shout &make noise &tel dem to review ur hosp notes &explain why dey opted for CS just few mins after commencing induction wit pitocin?
Even skilled midwives & their clever manouvre can deliver wit 6cm and 90% effacement. Mscheeww!

In all of these my dr never called me once, ot in Labour. Based on my recent experience I will not be using dr F's team for my next missionary journey.
