Well that's for the kids, our kids born now, to hustle for their own kids, our grandkids.
I cannor coman be drinking PCM on top that one now. Shuo tongue

Qei2u:
Theres a lil more for those of us that had kids here our grandchildren do not get citizenship automatically except our children are resident in the united states,note that residence in us is different from physical presence (the one used for green card),owning a house or renting does not proove physical presence except you are actually living there more or less like having a social security no,living in the house n paying a mortgage these are e.g of d proof

• U.S. marriage certificate indicating the address of the bride and groom;
• Property rental leases, property tax records, and payment receipts;
• Deeds;
• Utility bills;
• Automobile registrations;
• Professional licenses;
• Employment records or information;
• Income tax records and income records, including W-2 salary forms;
• School transcripts;
• Military records; and
• Vaccination and medical records

So basically our grand children need to be born on us soil too or our kids have d above or they follow the immigration route and naturalize but they can’t run for presidency if they naturalize
Pull ur kids ears to come here n birth ur grandchildren.

Last last uk citizenship na still d highest gelato!!!

It's for the military who are citizens but posted to different parts of the world on duty. Some marry foreigners or just get them pregnant inadvertently.
Trump says those kids wont have automatic citizenship by mere fact that the father is citizen whereas the mother is foreigner.

On the news, it says it doesn't affect any child born in American soil.
Just yet.
Whether born illegally, legally, to immigrants, aborigines etc...once it's on American soil, the kid is a citizen.

Thanks for sharing your story, I had advised d someone here to do the same but she insisted on using the existing B1/2 rather than update to B2 (change of intent) . You can’t outsmart these people, honesty is key so you don’t get tangled in subsequent applications.
Yea but honesty could also mean genuinely not knowing u were pregnant at d time of Visa application or having initially used d Visa for something else before getting pregnant. Then changing ur mind.

Let's for once assume everyone is NOT fraud and look at issue holistically.
Life is dynamic. Things change. People do too.
I once wrote Change of Intent letter. It was acknowledged and I thot it worked for me but it doesn't work like that any more.
However, there have been modifications to it.

Some have tried to apply for Visa before their current valid Visa expired...and they weren't successful with renewal.

I've also learnt that people dont always tell u the whole story here on NL or any other social media in fact. Doesn't make it right or wrong anyways.

I just cant cite enough examples and variations to d story!

So everyone should just follow their gut feeling and coman share wit us while we keep learning.
In issues of life, one size does not and can never fit all.

Una wehdone oh grin

Introduction.
Honestly this topic had been treated well enough. Follow your gut feeling and stay honest. Pay all ur bills and come back. That's all.
I've never falsified anything and it worked for me.
I still maintain there's nothing cast on stone and if you get a kind VO during renewal, who takes time to listen to u and review ur documents, then you're good to go.

Update on my POE:
I also observed/learnt that on arrival at POE, whatever d CBP Officer asks u... for e.g. why are u here? Also always tell the truth. They put everything on record. They asked me and then wrote B2 with hand on the stamp. I believe it's been updated on the system too.

My life mantra.
Take one day at a time. If your aim is to deliver your baby this yr in the USA, pls stay focused and achieve that. When it's time for renewal, worry abt that. Who says u will need to travel to US soon or ever again? Why worry? Simply enjoy the moment. Go have ur baby. Document everything and keep all receipts.

Conclusion.
I'm not one to tell anyone to do this or that. Many critics and bullies here...and we are all mature to act right and face the consequences of our actions. Moreso, What worked for me may not necessarily work for you. Above all, most importantly, trust God every step of the way.

All the best.
Hugs. grin grin

OmoBendel24:
One thing I normally would have believed of you as a key figure here is that you won’t misconstrue her post at all, seems you have done so however, we all do sometimes anyways. Change of intent letter has become a no-go-area with the US Embassy in Nigeria since sometime December last year or thereabouts, it’s a ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL for us currently oh! What she wrote is different. I followed her case keenly at some point till she went underground briefly, her previous posts may guide your understanding of her case better. Regards
Abeg save urself d turenchi and dont patronize me. Who says I'm a key figure here? shocked I dash u back abeg.

I've read her further details on it and i dont know who appointed u spokesperson of d yr?
Reading closely they're quite similar wit fine details. And thanks for serving me the exact defn, and features of Change of Intent letter. My story was as per 2016. I said it in my previous post.
Dont chew me alive.
I'm just happy it worked out for her/him at d end.
Nawa oh.

Summary: I still believe this Visa thingy is NOT one size fits all. Many factors including if u got a female VO in her monthly period who had a very rough night- could make one unsuccessful at interviews. It is a very subjective process and they rarely follow any predictable set rules any more. Some things that made one successful may not even be considered in another's case whereas some are given ZERO chance to present documents or explain themselves.
We are here to share all our opinions...as many as possible. So when one is faced with something similar, they can relate.

Nobody is forcing anyone's opinion on others. At d end of d day, u do whatever appeals to u and bear d consequences.
That is my simple opinion.

Going straight to reapply was going to be another gamble for u. All d best dear.
Goes to say that Change of Intent letter still works depending on who gets your email and d response u got.

Hello TripleKmama, thanks so much for your response, really glad to hear from you. Please at what point did you reapply for your visa?was it when you wanted to go for another child delivery? Thank you once again
Pls send me DM let's talk.
I never apply for Visa wen pregnant o. Not even few wks. because I cannot lie if they ask me. And u cant predict how dat will go. I applied long before pregnancy and even used it once before childbirth. It's easier that way for us.
Like I always say, there are so many reasons for dem to decline u Visa. Dont give dem more!

POE TESTIMONY grin
Hi people. TKM arrived Atlanta POE @33wks. Flew Delta cum AF. They requested fit-to-fly by airport clinic rather than my hosp version.
Booked wheelchair assistance at check-in. I had learnt that Jackson Hartfield airport was d busiest in the world. When we landed, it wasnt too busy but my flight people alone don form dis terrific line asap. But with wheelchair, it was swift. Straight to the front. wink

CBP Officer: Hello
TKM: Hi
CBP Officer: pls place ur 4 digits here. And ur thumb.
After the biometrics..
CBP Officer: are u here for business or pleasure Ma'am?
Me: I'm here for pleasure. I'm having my baby soon...if that counts for pleasure. We both smiled.
CBP Officer: enjoy your stay.

Wheelchair rolls off while I'm forming I no wan check. Immediately I was out sight, I peeped and saw he stamped me in for 6mo. Oshe! I almost left the wheelchair to shaku shaku grin

The lady assisting me helped locate my luggage. As I was abt 3 steps away from d main exit door, 1 Male police came to me asking if I have food, I said yes. He said what type. I say I no know how I wan take explain am. He say make I try. I said some dried veggies...local spices. He say make I follow him. Dat he wants to see d dried veggies. Shuo
Summary. He asked for a long list of naija foods. He has phd for dat department aswear.
He seized my dried meat.. one pack sha.
Later asked if I had rice. I surrendered my brown rice...one pack grin
Daz all

If this isnt your sweetest POE story ever, Imma dash u some hugs ok grin
Was very happy my palm oyel, wet bitterleaf, pounded cocoyam & plenty dried fish plus panla passed d exam! Halleluya!

Summary again: be honest and confident. Share ur foodstuffs into bits. Pray hard oh. I no go lie. Hubby and I prayed oh!!! He was so worried abt the latest happenings.

All d best everyone.
Happy momma and happy babies we pray God. Amen.

EDIT
I traveled with B1/B2 visa which I had used last yr for vacay. Just in case d additional info helps anyone.

Hello everyone,
Please I need ur advice on this:

I had my baby in the US, Elpaso Texas precisely in 2015. The visa got expired in 2017 and I renewed it effortlessly via drop box , I was given another 2yrs visa then. Fast forward to 2018, I got the mail saying my current visa is invalid and that I should appear for a follow up interview, I went for the interview in Nov 2018 but unfortunately my visa was revoked based on d fact that the consular said my hosp bill was small Nd dt I was given a discount by the hosp. I really dragged with the consular cos I was never aware of any discount at the hosp and I paid the exact amount on my bill with Zero balance on my receipt. Unfortunately, my visa was revoked.
I mailed my hosp d next day explaining the whole scenario to them and they responded to me with even an encrypted letter to the embassy stating that I did my self pay with no medic aid.Now I attached this letter as well as my own detailed composed mail to the embassy, I stated and quoted the VO’s statements during the follow up interview and I expressed how disappointed I was.
I didn’t get any response from the US embassy until 3 weeks later, saying they appreciate my complaint and would like to inform me that such issues are not treated via email and that I should reapply and lay my complaints to the consular on duty by then
I haven’t reapplied since then because I didn’t want to appear being desperate, but I have plans of reapplying next month.
Now I need all possible advice on the reapplication, am I good to reapply or isthere anything else I should do before reapplyinghuh?

Sorry for my long epistle
Same situation I was in but I got Visa. My VO gave me audience and looked at my correspondence with the hosp which I printed out. She went to someone to deliberate then came back and issued me the Visa.
I later learnt that d embassy doesn't open any mails with attachments. That's why I didnt get response to all my mails earlier on. I had to physical go to d Embassy and had an appointment booked.
All d best and pray to get a kind VO.

It called b1/b2 ,and you already travel with it not once but twice,and you had this visa before you got pregnant so you can use it for birthing purpose just mAke sure you ur bills.and no need applying for same category of visa when you still have a valid visa!!
That's all.
I've done it before. Used the Visa once before pregnancy. No issues at all.
Just that some over sabi people will advise her to write Embassy like they owe u anything.
How many times will they say it here. Change of intent letter no dey work again for VOs!!!
I once did the change of intent letter and it helped me cos I was asked at POE but CBP officer only looked at it. Thank God I printed it. But more recent encounters say it doesn't fly again. At d end, just take d few useful advise from NL and do what's best for u. All d best.

I like to look at things long term,if u apply for a b2 visa now,ur account balance is healthy and u choose a reasonably priced hospital your chances are very high for an approval but it could still fail.

If you travel on this visa now you will definately enter the usa and have this baby .......but what happens at your next renewal ......the VO will hold on to this...... you may escape it or you could get denied at that point,your chances would be much lower.

Hope i havent confused u further
I thot she said she has used the Visa twice for vacation abi casual visits. .
I believe she's good to go oh.
Let's not over think these things. There are so many factors that affect one's outcome. Getting fidgety and over careful is one of it.
U will soon apply for Visa wey no expire, dem com deny u then u cry com NL.
Abeg travel go come share ur testimony if u wan born pikin there. Just look for moderate bill n pay.

Well,thanks everyone that has contributed.It was specifically stated in the letter that no taxpayer's/govt fund will be used.I got know about this from a Kenyan woman who benefited.And the fund is basically for international children.
This is the second time we are getting the approval.
However,baby girl has been treated since birth in this country.we have our doctor's referral
We are taking care of flight,accommodation and feeding.
I said the case is somehow because it's not the normal birthing case and this is the much I can put up here.
Besides,I just want to know if baby girl can be accompanied by her dad(1 adult) as I won't be available.
Yes your daughter can certainly be accompanied by her dad
U only write and sign consent form authorizing him to do so stating your reasons for the trip. He may not be asked for the letter. Its just in case.

Calm your horses to start with.

Now, why must you be in the US by November, is it a matter of life or death? Rushing to pay and apply for same visa you were just refused might be perceived as being desperate. IMO

I suggest we all piped-down on this US visa renewal for now, hopefully these refusals to genuine travellers will fizzle out in months or years to come.
