There was a housing lottery scheme wherein you apply.
Different states and areas had different prices.
Someone I know got shagari estate back then for 60 naira
Not everyone gets o.
And 100 naira was like valuable money back then.
Then they were begging people to leave back then. People saw it as punishment back then when told to travel to Poland, Canada etc.
Talking from paternal experience. They go for training and run back into Nigeria. Several foreigners were in Nigeria then.
Nigeria was a big deal back then before Babangida fell for the trap in 82.

The picture below is a building of a Baptist church and a mosque built together in Adebayor street, Jos. It has been there since the 80's... There has been a lot of religious crises in Jos where many churches and mosques were burnt but nothing has ever happened to this particular one.

This should be in nassarawa gwom. This was street i lived. Free food during Ramadan. Majorly yorubas especially ogbomosho people lived in this area. Awesome environment

But, they are damn... rich. I know of one that Sells tomatoes beside the road (century market Ago), this guy has trucks in the north. I still know another one that does iron condemn business too.

He helped me open company in 2017 and I wrote a commendation here about him. I didn't want to believe when people started writing that he scammed them on his page.
This is no misunderstanding, he scammed me properly. First asked for 30k deposit, then 20k.
When I reached out to another agent on the matter because it was getting to 4 months, the agent informed I should have gotten an email from efcc with login.
I asked him about it, he said nothing like that.
He actually was sending me recorded fake calls with efcc personal

See, I wish I could send a voice note.
When he discovered I reached out to efcc and they confirmed I was not even on registration queue, he started cursing the person. I still have all communications with him. So don't come and brief for a fraud and a proper conman if you're not working with or for him.
He duped me properly and wasted 4 months of my time. 4 months of business account suspended because of scuml certificate.

ONAKOMAYA GBENGA IS A SCAMMER!

In addendum, when I asked him about the email, he kept asked what email. That no email was sent. Later he said he used my email to register. So how did he complete registration without me communicating email with him if it was sent to me. I am angry and disappointed. Not the 50k but my time, business and trust.
