Phones / Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Trojan8(m): 9:49am On Nov 24, 2023
I need an engineer that can fix a Redmi Note 8. The phone went missing for like four months now. Appaz, it was somewhere but I couldn't find it. Screen was bad before it went missing. Battery is swollen too, but when I connected a charger it was blinking on top like it does when it is charging.

I want to fix it tomorrow. Location is Lagos, anywhere on the mainland is preferable.

😂😂 why you de cry nau.

I also cried when I noticed that at 40, you can't comprehend a simple adage like "Rome wasn't built in a day".

I expect something incoherent from you where you would be insulting your parents and what-not. I definitely won't reply to such childish banters.

Just because I am feeling generous, I would explain what the adage means. Basically means when you are somewhere, you should behave the way the people there do. In relation to OP's case, as a Nigerian he should know rejecting gifts especially from a potential inlaw is counter productive. If you look at his basis of rejecting, makes it all the more senseless.

You don't need to thank me for the lecture.

Rubbish post.
Just repeating the same thing over and over without any hard fact or breakdown on how the result can help the Eagles.
Don't expect anything less from a blog.
Everyone is now a blogger, even secondary school drop outs.
I thought that I was the only one that noticed. Almost every single paragraph were talking about the same thing. There was nothing unique or at least any analysis how who we face next and what kind of results we should be looking at.

Piss poor.

You made absolutely NO sense
I updated it to the latest iOS as someone suggested on Reddit and the line is gone when I woke up this morning. It’s so sad Nairaland is now filled with clout chasers and people desperately trying to be noticed
Four comments on my post and not one single person said a reasonable thing

Seun I think you can see what has become of your forum

Smells like you were the one looking for clout though. You posted a problem here by 4am, by 6am you somehow already had a solution from Reddit. Why are you so angry that Nairaland couldn't provide a solution to your problem in just two hours? You expect people to stay up waiting for you to bring a problem that they would fix?

It has been resolved, good for you, move on, and stop looking for nonsense likes.

Seven blessings! Like you I share the same sentiments, I read the original post and wondered why this should be an issue for his girl and her people. In my opinion the OP did nothing wrong by declining the gift of store-bought bread. If it was a gift of home baked bread, home baked cake or home-made yoghurt, kunu, palmwine, or fresh farm produce (yams, fruits etc) e for make sense die NOT store bought bread for goodness' sake.

Please who gives store bought bread as a parting gift to a visitor who came visiting for a few hours? Is it not the person visiting a household that buys bread for that household? In place of bread the OP got something else which is very commendable. @ PuzzyNegro this your username sha......I would have declined the bread too because it is an awkward gift and I am not a pretentious woman. If your girl continues to misyarn or misbehave about this, just use silence and distance to recalibrate her brain. Na she and her people go find you come.

You did nothing wrong don't let your friend and others make you feel otherwise. Your in-laws should have been more thoughtful about the sort of gift they wanted to give, this gesture felt like they wanted to impress when there was no need to. The meal they served you, a warm and receptive attitude ought to have made a good impression.

You kept hammering on the fact that the bread is not home made but somehow your brain still couldn't process the fact that the "biscuits and juice" he gave them was not homebased. The way some of you reason should be studied. Instead of you calling out the OP for what he is, you are trying to justify his stupidity with a one-sided analysis.

I am not surprised though, you have always thrived on controversy.

Crazy year.

I lost money that I never imagined that I could have ever had this year, still repaying a significant portion.

I got promoted at work. And I became a chartered accountant. Not where I am supposed to be, but we go again wink

It's not about it being local or little. The Bread was gotten from Market Square super market. I just find it awkward giving bread to your son-in-law to be on the first meeting.

Gifts are symbolic you know.

Gifts are symbolic but you gave your potential in-laws biscuit and mineral on your first visit. You lack basic etiquette and an understanding of what emotional intelligence is. You should work on yourself before you think of marriage because with this kind of attitude, it is dead on arrival. If you like take heed, that's your problem.

This is a proof that you don't know the bible.

1. You didn't even complete the verse.

2. Paul was writing to the church at Ephesus. Submission in the context of a christian relationship(christian brothers and sisters) includes the idea of putting someone else, and their needs, above ourselves.

3. We are talking about submission between married couples and Paul expressly stated that wives should submit to their husbands in Ephesians 5:22-24

I like this. A man that knows his stuff and of course she changed gears. Good one

You are quoting me when it is not up to a #2,000. Take your time to read everything I wrote on the thread. I clearly maintained the uptick was in the short term but I still would not agree to your projection of #2,000 by December. Until that happens, stop quoting me looking for cheap likes. God bless you.

Dude you are chatting AIR.

Like I wrote in my first comment, Nigeria's problem is lack of (enough) FX supply. Until that improves, Nigeria will continue to suffer the consequences (fall of the Niara).

The Oil swap isn't a bad deal, neither is whether Buhari or Tinubu initiated it rather the issue with is that Nigeria owes oil majors Co. a backlog of oil from the deal which it is yet to fulfil and that will in turn will affect the supply of FX to the Nigerian economy.

Abeg don't drag me into you, Buhari/Tinubu/Obi/APC/PDP/Labour talk as I see that's where this is headed and don't quote me again.

FYI, this is my last response to you!

Clown, who's dragging you into talks about politicians. You said we have oil obligations to fulfill that Buhari signed. And I was telling you that oil contracts are made that way. As long as Nigeria keeps producing, then in reality Tinubu has not lost anything in the form of revenue because more future swaps would be signed to provide revenue now.

If you still don't understand this, then it's clearly a waste of time.
Business / Re: I Just Lost 400k by Trojan8(m): 5:24pm On Nov 04, 2023
pipnator00:

I didn't write it was a bad deal, rather I wrote that Nigeria owes over $3billion from the swap which in turn will affect fx generation.
Next time when you read, understand too!

What are you saying? Same way Buhari made some, Tinubu has also made some. It's an almost perpetual cycle, so in reality there's no income lost to the present administration.

There's nothing to read and understand in what you said. Learn and stop trying to be stubborn, you won't die if you admit that you didn't know.
Business / Re: I Just Lost 400k by Trojan8(m): 1:29pm On Nov 04, 2023
pipnator00:

Also, you must have heard about the Buhari Oil Futures swap deal with major oil companies around the world. At the moment Nigeria owes over 3billion dollars in oil to that deal.

Oil swaps are normal thing. You think oil are prices are determined on a day to day basis. You sign long term contracts to deliver oil at a certain price and quantity which is basically what future swaps are. In as much as I don't like Buhari, doesn't mean he is the first or would be the last to sign future swaps. That's how the oil market works.

You are not an investor!

The naira will fall horribly this December at close to N2,000 per $ (I can bet my 2 kidneys to it). Be steadfast.

When BTC was falling, impatient peeps like you cashed out with losses but instead, I put my investments on the stable coin USDT...then one day, the BTC began to soar high and I smiled.

Can we place a bet on this? I don't need your kidney, just play around with a few naira. I hate it when I see comments like this that are not backed with any knowledge just vibes and Insha Allah.

For those that cover the FX market, you would know we are in for further appreciation of the naira. FG got $7bn from the securitization of NLNG dividend with naira. Also, made a few dollar swap contracts in recent weeks.

Meanwhile as other people have said on this thread, the refineries when they start working would bring the much needed relief in the FX market. Your best bet is to sell your dollar holdings except you want to hold for a long time, say a year. Aside that in the short term sell. I told those around me on Wednesday morning to sell all dollar holdings that same day. Naira appreciated about #100 before the end of that day as the FG was clearing backlogs in various banks.

You have been warned.

Dial * # * # 86583 # * # *(Without the spaces). After that, the message " VoLTE Carrier check was disabled " will appear, thus activating VoLTE on our Xiaomi.
Next we will go to Settings> SIM cards and mobile networks
Once inside we will activate the option Use VoLTE .
If our Xiaomi is a Dual SIM smartphone, the VoLTE option will be found in Settings> SIM cards and mobile networks> SIM1 / SIM2.

This worked on my Airtel line effortlessly. Thank you

I’m giving away this Microwave for free.

You’ll need to come pick it up today.

Location is Surulere. Please call or WhatsApp 08166225097

Note: It doesn’t get as hot. I think it’s a low voltage issue because it usually works with a generator. Also, the glass plate and roller aren’t available. The person I had given the microwave to to fix lost them. SMH.

That's nice of you wink

Public Sector Accounting in 200L. I went to Delsu to celebrate my cousin's graduation throughout the weekend. The exam was on Monday morning by 8:30am, got to school Sunday around 10pm. When I saw the exam questions the next morning, I was so glad that it was easy if not it won't have been funny.

Ended up with an A, that's a nice cherry on the cake. wink

Meanwhile, the poster with a sob story does it perfectly. Continue faking that the transaction didn't pull through, so the topic can continue appearing on the first page.

What do you mean by unserious class mates, see this one so you're doing competition with them, right? Madam life is all about connection and hard work, some people make it without much stress because they've the needed connection or faster thinking especially with the invention of technology. I don't know why you only focus in the virginity aspect, you can be a good and decent woman and still end up with the wrong man, it's life.

To divorce is not that easy as singles here put it everytime, but at the same time i think there's something that man is not telling you, beside you know what's good for ur mental health so don't risk your life to save any marriage..

Try to be sensitive, whether we like it or not there's that tendency to look back at all the sacrifices one has made and wonder if they were worth it. She lived a chaste life, others didn't. Now she's married and suffering while those that seem to enjoy life then are still enjoying it now.

It's not a bad thing to look at things via that lens, doesn't make her a bad person.
