However, the definition of submission in a naija guy's dictionary is him ruling her life. If you think I'm lying, ask the naija guys here what they think submission is. Sista is in serious love. What else will she say?
Are you sure nah love, maybe the guy use juju , the AA I know that are married to Naija do not submit like that
@ trooe, you have more time that I do.
What rubbish am I reading on this thread? I always tell anyone that cares to listen that I'm a feminist. Submission is not a word in my dictionary. Compromise is more like it. How can my husband tell me to go and do something and I will act like a mugun and do it regardless of whether it's senseless or not? No man wants a doormat for a wife. Any man who wants that is a complete coward. It's better to have a woman who is not afraid to have and voice her own opinions. As for cooking, we will compromise on that. I have no problem feeding my husband till his stomach pops out. My problem lies in the fact that he won't appreciate it or think it's my job to do it. Don't get me wrong. I will cater to my man but the feminist in me will also realize that I need to be catered to once in a while too. If a man can put his career over his family because he feels that his wife is holding things down at home, who's the real boss of the house? If any of you cared to listen, Obama praises Michelle like there's no tomorrow. I have never heard more adoration in a man's voice. Michelle is a strong woman and she's not a slave to him like most Nigerian men would want us to be. Most of you need to listen to what the man says about Michelle before you start calling her submissive all because she's carrying a flower.
2day na my relaxation day jare, if not i won't be online. babe you too much, 100% correct, no be that nonsense Sista dey yawn |

sistawoman: I really could care less if i am someone elses role model. The only person i want to see that in me is my daughtar. And the only person i seek approval from his hubby. Good for you abi na your blood be that This is really exciting! Black women now have better choices as role model, not those angry, bitter, in-da-closet feminazis that have been feeding them h-shit for years. White women have always had great role-models and that has helped them so much.
Michelle Obama is the way forward!
Do your wifely duties with a big smile on your face! It shows you love what you're doing and the smile comes from the heart. I wonder why some black women can't believe Michelle is enjoying her role as a traditional wife. They want to paint Barack as a closet-wife-beater. No way! They're a happy couple because Barack loves and respects her wife and Michelle loves the traditional role of a wife. This is a huge turn in events for single black women everywhere ROTFLMFAO this man is a joker abeg let hear work jare |

sistawoman: my opinion matters but the final decison rests on his shoulders as the head of the house and what he says goes. There can not be two heads, one person has to be responsible for those things, at least that is how i was raised and how i function now. When the shit hits the fan he has to fix it too, so with that power comes responsibility and a real man wont buck under that presure but will welcome it.
I would never ever expect my husband to serve vistors that come into our home, i would feel embarrassed and would for sure chop off his head in private if he ever stepped into my terrorty to do that.
I would never feel comfortable with my husband serving me a plate of food, unless i was sick.
Does that make me a slave, I don't think so, i just know my place in my marriage and my worth in his heart. Good for you, abi whateva rock your boat jare, so enjoy
DavidDylan: limit to what? Abeg be submissive to your husband joo before you start claiming "In Jesus name". hehehe maybe in the next life sillyboy: What if a compromise is not reached?. . . .does that mean the decision should be left undecided?
The funny thing is that when the "left behinds" realise that they are almost "left behind" they now start to do what they should have done in the first place in desperation. Most of them now end up with low-life guys. Start cleaning up pews in churches and keep disturbing their pastors . . . . .shior! Oh come on, we have to reach a decision no matter what happens
Too bad for the ladies that ended up with the low-life men |

sistawoman: I want to explore this a little more so tell me what are the following:
Your husband making the final decision
Preparing his plate first at dinner
Following through on his decisions even when you don't agree
lowering your tone when you address him or using a different tone to address him then you would another male.
leaving him alone to discuss issues with his male friends
serving drinks or food when people come over
preparing his favorite meals.
which ones are submissive, which are not and what do you find to be slavery.
This is open to everyone. The decisions isn't just on him, if we don't agree or come to a term than he can't do it
The type of man i have, listens to me, my opinion is what matters, and Vice-versa lol @cooking his food 1st, it doesn't work that way with us
Common sense should tell her to serve some drink to the visitors, and he can do the same
What you listed is not bad, but it the tone he uses that determines whether it submissive or not
|

That aside, your claim is bogus . . . many loving interracial families springing up everyday . . . wow its hard to see a 10yr marriage based on sex alone. @the sex lmfao, very funny Do you have an idea how many white men hit on me per day,but the truth is I will never never date a white guy, God forbid bad thing
the % of white ladies marrying blacks is very small, so the marriage lasting 10yrs is out of the window |

DavidDylan: God help your marriage. Say amen. So me not bowing down for him is a problem heheheh thank God he doesn't think like your. sillyboy: This is a typical attitude I was refering to . . . Can you all imagine me saying what I said to Troooe?. . . with her reaction, it proves she will just aim to slap me straight! This kind of attitude will always scare a man signing a life time contract with african women with such attitude.
Being submissive doesn't mean anyone is stupid. It just goes a long way to show how aware a person is about where he or she finds herself. One could be submissive and still call the shots. Untill african women learn to be submmisive and at the same time learn to control her man in a loving way. . . . .guess they may keep loosing their men to the white ladies. Heheh what attitude, because I stood up to you, you should be lucky it was e-slap and not real one
In my book, submissive means slavery Submissive doesn't mean respect African men are bunch of control freaks Do you really think white women want to settle down with your black men, they are just doing it for the sex |

sillyboy: I have never dated a white woman. . . but I think I understand why black guys tends to prefer white women to their black counterparts.
I believe the problem has something to do with the attitude black women exhibits. Now when I say black women, I mean both african black women and african-american women. The funny thing is that, even african women that haven't stepped out of the shores of Africa (most especially Nigerian women) imitats this unspeakable bitchy attitude.
This attitude "pisses" off a normal african man who believes that a woman should be accommodating and a bit respectfull to the man. So when a black man encounters a black woman that has got attitude. . . .the dissappointment doubles and kind of gets unpardonable.
Now white women could be pardoned because black men understands that their race is quite different. Black women should learn to be more african women when it comes to relationship. . . they should be more accommodating, submissive and not immitate the negative attitudes of the environment they find themselves. Like I always say, a woman drives a relationship. . . most of them just don't know how to drive yet. Can someone e-slap him for me What kind of nonsense are you yawning, I hate that word **submissive***, are African women slaves, you better wake up and start smelling the coffee, things are changing and the women are taking over No woman i repeat, no woman should ever bow for her husband.
