@OP I really understand what you are going through, been there myself. Lost my bed of roses early in life, got admission early in a polytechnic, finances were bad (and I was immature) I dropped out. Re-wrote jamb, got admission, things were still tough but I scaled through with a good grade courtesy of the G-factor (GOD factor!) Post NYSC, no job, hope was bleak but "He made a way"! You can't rule out the G-factor in your race in life.Even if you are loaded and have all the connections, things can still go awry for you if the " G" is not on your side. You need "G" in your race - GRACE. Please, turn it over to GOD |
Hmnnn... I saw the name DEMEJI BANKOLE from the initial posts and his attempt to defend the action. He claimed to be Yoruba but I can bet my two balls that the guy is an IPOB!! I checked out his profile on Facebook and my doubts were erased..hahahahah |
I feel like sharing these miracles ..God is good and His mercies endures forever. 1. I went for a job interview and I know I failed and was not invited for the next stage..After getting an " unknown connection " I was asked to come over for the next level interview without an invite.I hate embarrassment, didn't feel good about gatecrashing an interview- I had a good job already but wanted something better. I got to the venue of the interview ( on a Sunday, after praise and worship in church) and didn't have the liver to go in as my "connection" wasn't picking up his call.Luckily, I met a friend from another organization who was also gatecrashing the interview and this emboldened me. I wrote my name on the attendance list, I was number 11 on the list while my friend was like twelve or thirteen and the interview started. The interviewers took the list, called number 1 to 11 ( I was 11)took us in to another room and then went outside, told the others " IF YOU KNOW YOU WERE NOT INVITED FOR THIS INTERVIEW, PLEASE, LEAVE!" Yes, I did get the job - with a promotion! 2. When I resumed at the job, in 6 months - due to some organizational reshuffling, I became the manager of my branch - my level was low for the position but grace helped me as I was a good performer and then politics started. I was "demoted" by being redeployed to another branch where I was no longer the manager but one of the work hands - but God is still good and His mercies still endures forever!! Barely 10 days after I resumed in my demoted office, a promotion list came from Lagos and my name was on the list - 2 promotions in 3 years!! All these happened in the banking industry, they are miracles from #oniseiyanu. Hallelujah!! |
arosunshine:Aghamede? Wow! was a corper in CSS Umuhu, 2006 |
I did serve in Enugu too, in the village of Eha Amufu in Isi uzo local government. You didnt mention the 'sweet and spicy jackie meat" did you? If you dont want to 'mistakenly' eat jackie meat, always opt for FISH - can we have fake fish? NB: Jackie is donkey meat! |
@ ALL rumour has it that this OP is stupid and brainless. As I said, its a rumour o!! |
hmnnn..as soon as the arms and ammunition of the Nigeria army is expended on the #IPOB, ECOWAS will step in and assist them to silence any pending disturbance ![]() |
trueconscience: Guy, I don't intend coming here to speak grammar - na facts I dey yarn! OK, agreed, Enterprise Bank was responsible for denying and stealing their staff Severance benefits but Heritage Bank WAS responsible for eliminating the OUTSOURCED staff! After spending years in an establishment, your payoff is just stolen - just like that! And you are here defending the indefensible? No bro, gerrahahere! If you run a business, what would matter the most to you, your business strategy to remain a growing concern or keeping outsourced staff even if they don't support your business model or strategy?. If you run your own business you would understand this... I understand your point, its a business decision but it was an UNJUST DECISION. You have the right to hire and fire no doubt but why would you deny them their entitlements and fire those are are bold enough to DEMAND the RESPECT of their RIGHTS? That is Nigeria for you - Heritage Bank didn't do anything too surprising, OPPRESSION IN HIGH PLACES! |

Hahahahaha this can not but be a serious big lie! Isn't Heritage Bank former Enterprise Bank? Enterprise Bank gladly denied their staff severance/payoff benefits during the conversion of Spring Bank to Enterprise Bank and those who protested were placed on indefinite suspension. The same thing applied to their outsourced staff. Those of them who were perceived as threats to the Bank for demanding their Payoff/ Transfer of Service payment were strategically laid off and now, they talk of adequately compensated! Hahahahaha big joke! |
I had this boss in my first banking organisation whom i respect so much. After spending some years with him in the office, I moved on to another bank and about 3 weeks ago, after a long time of communicating with him, he called me and requested for money. He said he was down financially and needs help for one of these MMM-stuffs. I gave him the money, believing he would pay me back from his banking salary even if the "MMM" failed him. Its almost 2 weeks after he promised to pay me, he has not and I recently got to know that he was no longer in the employ of the bank - hence his romance with the ponzi scheme. He sent me a text yesterday, telling me that : None of the guys matched to me have paid anything. This is the 3rd match, they complain of no cash in January Truth is, people have lost good faith in MMM. be careful with your funds. Dont be scammed, not again! For me, I'll keep faith till he can - by whatever means, raise my funds and pay me back. Be wise! |
The last paragraph of the attached says : " in the case of religious or cultural organizations, nothing in this code is intended to change the spiritual leadership and responsibilities of founders, General Overseers, Pastors Imams.....which are distinguishable from purely corporate governance and management responsibilities and accountabilities of the entities" However, the action of the FRC seem to have negated this as it sought to remove a Spiritual Head , G O.No? |
Moderator, please, review the topic as I didn't see where it was written that the estate cost $153 million. Is this deliberate to muddle the waters by the "LIVE OUR SON" clan? Biko correct it o @mynd44 |
WomanOfRace:You are very correct. The PDP actually laid the FOUNDATION of Nigeria's economic RECESSION.. No? |
OZAOEKPE:Don't get it twisted, God is not a democrat. The voice of the people is NOT NECESSARILY the voice of God, OK? Take the US legalization of lesbians and gays, is such the voice of God? Good. Thank me later |
Hmnnn.. I wonder why I find it hard believing the pictures are of the same person...I dont think they are, it looks more like CUT and JOIN |
Bros, easy!!! You read the headlines and you believe you've grasped the content of the report? Are you a NEW LEARNER to newspaper reports in Nigeria or are you just lazy and mischievous? |
mumunity is a crime ![]() |

I saw these on Facebook. Notice the discrepancies? Is it 350 billion or 360 billion? Vanguard has really thrown it to the dogs, too bad!

What a shame!!! September 23TH From a whole COUNTRY |
Welcome baba!! My speakforBUKOLASARAKI2016 paid goon is back, how you dey? |
Hmnnn...the statement by the police that the conduct could cause a breach of peace is very correct and if you ask me, wise...We don't want public disturbance and destruction of lives and properties in Ogun state, do we? Isn't it wise to go and cause fight in your neighbor's house knowing fully well that the TV, radio, cups etc that would be destroyed won't be yours? Can our trader try that in the North? He's safer doing it at "home" but no, he chose Ogun State.wisdom!! "Wisdom is profitable to direct" "and in all your getting, get understanding". Without doubt, I understand what the trader was trying to do and its definitely not in the interest of ONE Nigeria... wisdom is needed to ensure the unity of the country.we shouldn't allow little, unnecessary banters and biff balkanize our frail structure |
We need to respect each others religion, yes, this is a requisite for peace and harmonious living however, if Zamfara chooses to implement sharia, I believe its consequence should be far reaching. If a state chooses to operate the sharia, I believe it should not partake of any income/revenue arising from actions/businesses unlawful to sharia. Income from breweries and the likes should NOT be shared with sharia states or isn't this fair enough? |
The Minister for information/the Justice system |
Guys, we need to be wise when it concerns INFORMATION, MISINFORMATION and DISINFORMATION. They all have different purposes. Every message must have a SOURCE, CONTENT,PURPOSE and AUDIENCE Who was the SOURCE of the Message? Definitely NOT Zenith Bank! Yes, a corporate organisation releasing this as a press statement leaves a lot to be desired. Is the Source APC/EFCC ? Again I doubt cos i expect them to have more brains than this! What if the Source is actually Fayose? Yes, he could well be the source of the Oluwole Press release in order to spread misinformation/disinformation to muddle the flow of information regarding his corruption trial. Yes, this is very plausible! Lere has another version of the letter, right? Would the APC/EFCC do such? Write 2 of such letters and release into public space? No, the intent is definitely to muddle the flow of information. Fayose has a hand in this! Thanks |
mindtricks:Hmnn...I've had business dealings with the Bank - recently |
lagosrd:I presume you are over 60 years, no? The picture you painted is banking in the "days of yore", not in Union Bank of TODAY! |
