Politics#ENDSARS : LGBTQA Agenda Unveiled by trueconscience(op):
The #EndSars protest has garnered a lot of support from virtually all areas of the country but it seems the Feminist Coalition (a unit that has been at the fore-front of the protest) seem to have an LGBTQA (Lesbian, Gays, Bisexuals, Transsexuals, Queer/Questioning Asexual/Aromatic) Agenda.

The Feminist Coalition made a tweet stating they were fighting for the rights of the LGBTQA and this has received negative support from the people.

It should be noted that the constitution of Nigeria is against LGBTQ and turning the #Endsars protest into an LGBTQA fight would definitely derail the protest.

Today, the Bishop of Living Faith Church , Bishop David Oyedepo supported the #Endsars protest but with the LGBTQA agenda inclusion, it would not be a suprise for the Christian clergies - Pastor Adeboye and co to withdraw their support.

Also, Segun Awosanya, Segalink, one of the activist who has been at the forefront of ending Police brutality crusade has expressed his displeasure over the activities of the Feminist Coalition regarding them as cultists who have hijacked the #Endsars Protest.

The Feminist Coalition has now deleted the controversial tweet.

Do you think it is right to include the LGBTQA agenda into the #EndSars protest?

Yeye people. They allowed fraudsters to use the banking system and instead of them to clean up their mess and update their KYC on the customer they are playing the ostrich. It's not their fault. Assuming the CBN had a good deterrent for faulty KYC , they'll do better

Nice one there by Zenith Bank and UBA.

A responsible bank should ensure their system does not become the delight of criminals and fraudsters and for this JIBITI (aka GTB) is culpable.

I saw a post where a guy called them in to handle one of their fraudulent customers ( with proofs o) yet they told the guy to go and report to police - it's not their business. Tell me why these scammers won't continue their business with such yeye mindset?

FamilyRe: Coronavirus :As A Parent, Would You Allow Your Kids Return To School? by trueconscience(op): 8:51am On May 29, 2020
I just got this lines on what's and they make good sense.

Seriously, Buhari failed for not closing the borders early and for the corrupt policemen and every one who defied directives and got is into this mess, they deserve awards from hell!

Take a look at critical questions:
THE CONCERNED
Questions for teachers
I. How safe am I if schools are opened?
2. Are students books safe to mark?
3. Do I get free medication if I get covid at work
4. Is my family compensated if I die after getting covid at school?
5. Will I get risk allowances when schools opening ?
6. Is it worth to die for 40$ US which is not enough to feed , cloth and shelter my family?
7. Will I be able to teach 6 x 35 minutes periods in a day with a musk
7. I have other health conditions that might affect me in this covid pandemic and am supposed to teach my o level class. How do I go about it?

QUESTIONS FOR SCHOOLS
1. If a student in class shows covid symptoms after lunch during learning . Do we also quarantine the teachers , the whole class or the whole school ( writing classes)?
2. How frequent do we test temperature of teachers and students?
3. If given 1 machine to test temperature . Is it possible to test 20x 4 classes before lessons?
4. Who Will test temperature of the students ? Teachers are not paid for that.
5. Is the teaching and learning going to continue if we run out of sanitizer?
6. If the teacher is in self quarantine, who will take his/her load?

QUESTIONS FOR RESPONSIBLE AUTHORITY
1. Are all schools having enough desk to maintain social distance?
2. Are you able to employ more teachers since the teacher to pupil ratio decreases? How many teachers are need per school in each department per subject?

QUESTIONS FOR PARENTS
1. Is my child not going to bring covid home?
2. How safe is my child if schools open?
3. Is education the first priority than life of your child?

Let's not forget that covid is spread out by air and contact therefore its a contagious disease.
Let's hope for the best and keep praying

Is there hope for Nigeria?
FamilyCoronavirus :As A Parent, Would You Allow Your Kids Return To School? by trueconscience(op): 8:58pm On May 28, 2020
According to the @NigeriaGov modalities are being put in place to enable schools resume soon but I am so curious, "are parents really going to allow their children/wards return to school in this Coronavirus era in Nigeria?"

Let's even assume that those in "high-class private schools" allow their children, would those whose children attend "pseudo-public" and public schools be willing to take the risk of allowing their children return to classes? Hmmm...

It's very funny and painful what Nigeria has become, you won't be surprised if someone carries the soap home instead of allowing the kids to use them and yes, nothing will happen as a deterrent.

Isn't this the same Nigeria where @PoliceNG entrusted with the responsibility of securing state borders and implementing the curfew have turned the assignment into a lucrative business for extortion and collision with law breakers?

With the right colour of currency, you can break any law in Nigeria. No?We are just not ready yet. For "true parents" don't be fooled by the optics, until a cure /vaccine is available, exposing your beloved kids should not be contemplated. The government (apart from @elrufai which I know)do not have their own kids in public schools and trust me, even those who have their kids in private schools are not thinking of returning their kids to school yet. They'll rather have online classes but is such available to the. " nameless and faceless men on the street?"

"Everything rises and falls on leadership". I rewatched Mandela's "Long Road to Freedom" and a particular statement caught my attention : "it is our responsibility as Leaders to make them agree with our position".

The leader should know the way and be able to take the followers along and to do this, effective and sincere communication is required. When the leader lacks credibility then convincing the followers to take a particular path will be an uphill task...

"You don't say A and do B "as a leader but unfortunately, this seems to be the default settings of Nigerian leaders and until this glaring hypocrisy is removed, our problems will remain...

If the leaders would allow their kids into public schools and let them resume then other parents should do the same but if not, you are definitely on your own. I believe it's time for @NafdacAgency to work with our trado-medical professionals to see what drugs can be created..

Our professors and academics shouldn't fold their hands, we need everyone now. Nigeria needs you and unless this Coronavirus threat is eradicated life will not continue as it has been...

Dear PARENTS, please, keep your children safe..Even if the government is failing to secure and protect the lives of the citizens, do not fail your beloved kids...Ces finis

oshozondii:
They terribly lied, because it is sure above 64.

Obasa, since they aren't yours, can 2 different people have the same BVN number?
Your BVN can well be tied to more than one account if you are EMPOWERED by the account owner.

Let's make it simple, you have 2 kids - Chidinma Okeke and Nnamdi Okeke while your name is Okechukwu Okeke. You went to the bank to open accounts for your kids and since they are minors, you run the account for them. Yes, the accounts will bear the name of your kids but your BVN will also be linked to this account.

Same thing can occur when you are given the power of attorney. You don't get to change the account name to yours but your BVN gets attached to the accounts.

While i must commend what Sahara Reporters are doing yet I'm very skeptical about the misinformation they have been presenting over time - believe them at your own peril.

All these rubbish SIM registration they do at junctions and on the road side?

Those rogues can even register to be a telco agent, use false/pseudo names and images/information to register a SIM and still perpetuate their fraud unhindered.

I CURSE them all. They will never end well
The liability will be on the Telephone company. Whatever their agents do is on their necks. They should ensure their agents are well-supervised and a good government ID can be used for better SIM registration in which the BVN can also be a plus.

With an enriched SIM registration data base, we are safer
CrimeHow Banks And Telcos Can Stop Telephone Scammers by trueconscience(op): 6:51pm On May 15, 2020
Seeing the way fraudsters are having a field day conning people of funds, can be reallly painful and if let unchecked, the innocent public and vulnerable ones would lose their heads. How do we put an end / discourage this criminal business? Lets read on.

Recently, an elderly man ran to me, crying about debit alerts he received from his bank after giving his
account details to a David Eguavon, a "First Bank Staff" and though I pitied him and assisted him with some amount of money, there was little else I could do so I started thinking of how to protect Bank customers and prevent them from being scammed. However, for my idea to work, there is the need for cooperation between Banks, telephone companies and the EFCC.

How do these scammers operate? First, they get access to your BVN details (from coniving bank staff or nibss portal?) and using the information there in, they pull-in their preys and convince them they are bank staff and then extract sensitive account information which would now be used to make unauthorized transactions.

The simplest way to stop this ugly trend is still through SIM REGISTRATION but with another step : TELCOS should show the REGISTRATION DETAILS OF ALL INCOMING CALLS. Just like Apps like Truecaller etc, the networks - (Glo, Airtel, MTN , Etisalat etc) should protect customers by BEING THE ONES TO INTRODUCE ALL INCOMING CALLS. When ever a call is coming in, the Telcos should provide the details with which the number is registered on their platform to the call reciever and Unregistered numbers too should also be declared as Unregistered to serve as a caveat to the reciepient.

Is this wrong? As a caller, once you dial someone and you don't want your identity to be known then you have no business making that call. The same way Banks are protecting their platforms from being used for money laundering and other criminal activities is the same way the Telcos should be wired but to get this right, the first step is correct and complete registration of ALL CUSTOMERS' SIM cards. Every sim should be tied to a face, name, and address.

If a scammer calls you and he is aware you have information about his true identity ( real name) would he still be keen on swindling you when he is aware the next knock on his door might be the police? Yes, you are right. Crimes and fraudulent activities prospers in the dark. When the will of anonymity is removed from the scammers/criminals, they won't proceed with their devilish enterprise, would they?

That the Telcos should also be held liable for exposing their customers' vulnerability via non-registration and faulty registration of SIM cards is going to be a good measure to protect bank customers and also safeguard the national security so that actions of kidnappers and terrorists can be easily identified and curtailed.

What measures would you be advising too?

CrimeRe: Have You Ever Been Scammed? Share Your Experience!! by trueconscience(m): 4:16pm On Apr 23, 2020
jamael:
Funny scam when I was still a child.

Mine happened a long time ago. However, I still remember it crystal clear cuz it taught me some deep lessons.

I schooled in a religious school, back then in Sokoto, Mamman Barkeji Nursery and Primary School. In my Primary 3, I got first position for the first time and became the class prefect. Normally, girls started coming closer to me. I also reciprocated their kind gesture. There was this beautiful girl who came second that term. She was taller then most of us, had a pointed nose, and a very wonderful smile. I think her name was like Henuwell.

Naturally, I liked her. After school one day, a friend of mine, Musa, came to me and told me that she liked me and that she wanted to be my friend and would need some money. Mind you, I was about 7 years old then oh. Happily, I have him the little I has on me, about 10 kobo.

The next day, during the morning assembly, he told me that she was very grateful and that she loved me for that. My head began to swell. He asked whether I had some more money for her that it would make her love me the more. Unfortunately, I didn't have any with me, but I promised him that I would get it for him the next day. My people, that was how I started stealing the small change from our children's purse that was kept in my parent's room. I stole the N 25 that was there and gave it to the boy. Everyday, I got one new love story or another from the girl about how she was thinking of me, how she loved me better than any other boy, etc through Musa. grin

On one Monday morning, nemesis decided to pursue and catch up with me. I went into the Children's purse and lo and behold, only N 500 note was left there. Without thinking twice, I took the money and kept it in my bag. When it was time for us to go, my dad told us to enter his vehicle so that he could pick up our neighbours and drop us all at school. I really don't know what happened, but when he came out of the room, he came out with an empty bag of Children's money and began to ask for the thief. All of us initially denied it. Then my mom joined him and began to beg us to open up. By that time, I was already shaking. That was how I confessed and got serious beatings from both my parents. I cried and cried and cried. It was really painful. After some time, my parents stopped and bundled me inside the car.

As soon as we got to school, they told the Headmaster and I went for the morning assembly. The first thing that Musa asked when he saw me was whether I came with the money. At that point, the pain I was feeling was more than my love for Henuwell and I told him to leave me alone. As soon as the assembly was dismissed, my class teacher called me to kneel down under the tree for stealing from my parents. I then told him that it was because of Musa and Henuwell.

When both of them came, Musa couldn't look at me. As the man was about to punish both of them, the girl shouted that she didn't know anything about it. That was when Musa confessed that he didn't even talk to the girl and that he was using the money I gave him for himself. You need extra beatings I received that morning. Musa was called a criminal, was terribly beaten and got seriously punished throughout the whole day. They even asked reported him to his parents.

To crown it all, about a week later, I learnt that Henuwell actually really loved me and wanted to be my good friend. embarassed

The next term, I left that school.

That was how I was scammed.
This stuff happened about 16 years ago, but funny enough, as I was typing this, I could still visualise Henuwell's face. wink
I smell lies all around your post.

From 10k to 500 notes?! Which year are you talking about exactly?

HealthCoronavirus: Oyo State Records First Positive Case by trueconscience(op): 1:23am On Mar 22, 2020
The Coronavirus challenge facing the country doesn't seem to be abating at the moment as a positive case has just been identified in Oyo State.

This was disclosed by the Executive Governor of the state, Seyi Makinde in tweets via his profile as attached.

According to some commentators, the FGN actually failed the country by delaying the restriction of international flights to the country and failure to compulsorily quarantine everyone coming into the country while others are eager to blame this on the Governor for holding a political rally in the state recently.

No matter who we choose to blame, fact is the virus is here with us and we need to protect ourselves by washing our hands and doing social distancing.

Also, Churches, Mosques and other gatherings have been instructed to desist from garnering crowds above 20 else a monitoring unit would be stepping-in to enforce compliance.

Nigeria so far has not recorded many Coronavirus related deaths like other European countries and hopefully, the country will be out of the woods soon
