Will Nigerians turn up in large numbers for Mali vs Zambia?

Maybe for Nigeria vs Tanzania

A Must Watch: A Fulham Interview on Iwobi, Chukwueze and Bassey ahead of the Afcon.

Chuks complaining about Bassey not passing him the ball. 😂😂
Chuks saying he has more connection with Iwobi than Bassey on field. Lol
Iwobi emphasizing they would take the Afcon seriously but how it is always funny with Bassey and Chuks.
Iwobi saying everyone is a leader on the team.
Chuks and Iwobi would both be playing their 4th Afcon.

These and much more. Enjoy.

Nice!!! Some monicker was complaining yesterday that because Ndidi said they came to have fun at the AFCON, we should forget doing well at the Tournament. The team spirit is good.

The first 10 minutes of the friendly match against Egypt was enough for me to see that these boys will do very well at this AFCON. They have lots of time to perfect tactics and set plays.

This Jordan or Moroccan side, I don't see us beating them if we meet. A draw might even be generous.

Scariest part is that this is probably Morocco team B/C.
make Una no dey talk like this. Tournament football and Qualifiers are two different scenarios. A team you will beat 10 goals to Nil in the qualifiers...you will meet the same team in a tournament and struggle to score one goal. Our boys will come good in this tournament..that I don't have a doubt about.

Onuachu needs midfield to perform
This midfield is flat
Only Akinsanmiro is trying to make things happen
Even Onyeka is not himself in this setup
Onyeka can't even get into an average Brentford midfield, Una expect am to perform miracles. His lack of playing time is affecting his game. He starts well but fades out.

Their hypocrisy is dangerous. Very devious and evil hyoocrisy. Someone is literally calling for the country to divide becauase Usman was listed in a 28 man squad. If no one want to call it out i stand here gidigba to put their evil hypocrisy in their faces
Bro...please go back and read the thread of the conversation...the monicker based his call for division based on bad news he reads everyday online. It had nothing to do with Usman invitation. Please correct your impression.

He will fail at the AFCON.
The same NFF will use him as a scapegoat.
He will not meet the target set for him to reach the semi-final.

TheCongo2:
That still doesn’t change the simple point: Nigeria has lost its football identity. The moment you enter a Nigerian forum like Nairaland, almost every discussion is about the British league. It’s as if the country doesn’t even have a league of its own. Whether you admit it or not, sport-wise, Nigeria still operates like a British subject.

And let me be clear: I’ve never supported African countries depending on foreign-born players to build a national team. Show me what any of these countries — including Nigeria — have achieved on the world stage with this strategy, apart from the occasional AFCON run. Nothing.

Now, comparing Nigeria’s local football identity to Congo’s is like comparing day and night. Nigeria has no football culture to stand on. The dependence runs deep.

Meanwhile, Congo has built its own football backbone with local work, local clubs, and local talent:

In the last 20 years, Congolese clubs have won four African club competitions.
Congo has won two CHAN titles, a tournament specifically for local-based players.

Nigeria? Zero CHAN titles. Zero African club trophies in the last 20 years.

TP Mazembe went all the way to the FIFA Club World Cup final, beating the Brazilian champion Internacional in the semifinal.

When I once met a Brazilian guy and said I was from Congo, his first reaction was, “TP Mazembe!” He even mentioned Kidiaba’s dance — it became famous in Brazil.

That is what football identity looks like. A country that earns global recognition without depending on foreign aid.
Local Chef dey use Akpu take dey boast...while em mates have graduated to preparing intercontinental dishes from Asia, Europe and South America.

I understand you na. Why are you afraid for him?

If he loses his spot it means that Okoye performed well which is still positive for the team.
My fear is more of sympathy for him. Like you rightly said if Okoye performs it is positive. You know how this game goes, the coach will find it difficult to give him back the No. 1 spot after Okoye's heroics.(Hypothetical).
