Even if you upgrade to 3.46p which is still the best firmware patch for 4950h the problem will still persist so lets wait for their latest software whether the problem would be fixed. By latest I don't mean 3.47p cos you are going to loose audio on some of the PVu channels with that software so 3.46p is still the best for now

That's what you usually get when there is a change. People always like to resist change so as to continue with old ways they are used to whether rightly or wrongly forgetting that what is permanent itself is CHANGE. There are saboteurs everywhere just to score cheap political points that the government is not working but reasonable people are not deceived as they would be soon defeated on all fronts and all would see that this government is divinely put in place to clean the augean stable and Nigeria shall be better for it.

Then you should be able to get it, change your LNB to Strong long one, remove the dielectric plate inside and tweak it well, ensure you get about 80% signal strength on Aljazeera and with minimum of 60% you should get Sony Package

Which stations are showing and not showing because with properly done upgrade, some stations would show automatically.

Once this is ensured, and problem persists, then try software update.

What is the current software version that you have?

Yes d software meant for 4920, 4922 & 4922A can also be used for 4922D+, as for 4950H software to be used for 4950M,4950 & 4950E I dont think its possible... I stand to be corrected though!

Yes you are correct. That of 4950 series is not as straight forward as 4922.

I see no rift here at all. It's rather too early for any one to start bashing PMB for the change his party promised Nigerians, moreover we can see the efforts of Mr President in recovering looted funds & a totally different positive attitude towards governance.
Maybe after a year in office, Nigerians can then start giving their score card of the APC led government.

Senator Remi Tinubu should be careful not to play to the gallery in order to score cheap political point. We all need to support the President in his efforts to reposition Nigeria at this point in time.

@Farwee, Sameer just told me now that the new PVu software for 4950 should work so pls find it attached here. I'm not at where my 4950h is now so I can't confirm so let me know if it works

Actually, I sent an email to Sameer in Iraq about 5 days ago on the need to do something about v3.41p PVu software of 4950 series which cannot open S**rt 24 anymore at present and he replied and promised to do something about it. You know they always like preambles in their language to some of their softwares to be released but I know Sameer would fulfil his promise so lets wait a little; he would eventually make himself clearer & specific, thanks.
