Politics / Breaking: Tinubu To Be Disqualified: Evidence B4 Pept Proves Vp Double Nominatio by Trumpcard05: 9:10am On Jul 25, 2023
APC claimed that Shettima wrote his withdrawal letter on the 6th of July, but the INEC withdrawal form he signed is dated 15th July 2022. This is attached to the 6th of July letter.

Again documentary evidence before the tribunal as produced by both INEC and APC show their many lies. BAT disqualification is imminent barring any further abracadabra by the Judiciary.

Game Over!

Politics / Presidential Election Petition Panel: Legal System In Need Of Reforms by Trumpcard05: 8:32am On Jul 25, 2023
It was a very tough day for me yesterday because in a conference call with lawyers from other jurisdictions, one of them asked me if Senior Lawyers were really in court in Nigeria making legal arguments in support of @officialABAT to continue as President of Nigeria ?
I said, that’s what’s happening.

Most of them couldn’t believe it

One said, he’d read a lot about the case how Tinubu forfeited money in the USA years ago, filed a fake degree to the electoral body, lie about dual nationality on the prescribed election form etc and wanted know exactly what his lawyers were arguing in court.

I was speechless and was so ashamed

I recalled many years ago, we had a case of a guy who stole a British Birth Certificate and applied for a British Passport. He got the passport and was making use of it Unfortunately for him, 8 years down the line, HMPO started investigating him without his knowledge

The sad part of this story is he used the Passport to travel out of the UK and back at ease

We were his second legal team to take over conduct of the matter because the previous legal team had advised him to go for an early guilty plea as the evidence against him was overwhelming

He refused and insisted on taking his chances in court (by the way, he’s originally from Nigeria) and they recused from the case.

When we met him for the first time at HMP Wandsworth, he went on about how that was his passport and he was born at Sutton. Both of parents were white British and he wasn’t adopted. It sounded weird and unbelievable.

What we weren’t also aware at the time was, HMPO was also making every effort to contact the real owner of the brith certificate he used to secure his British passport

We had considered withdrawing from the case if he wasn’t willing to take our advice of an early guilty plea but had to do it in court, so he can be given more time to get a new lawyer On the first day of the hearing et Inner London Crown Court, the CPS served us some new disclosure with the statement of the real owner of the Birth Certificate.

It turned out that the real owner of the Birth Certificate had relocated to Holland, changed his nationality and he was willing to attend court to give evidence.

Armed with this new disclosure, we immediately had conference with the client, showed him those evidence, and told him that his only option was an early guilty plea for a lesser sentence. He had no choice than to throw in the towel because again the Judge had warned, if his legal team withdrew again, he may have to proceed with no legal representation.

What’s happening at the PEPC in Nigeria is nothing like I’ve seen or experienced before and it embarrassing.

Every Nigerian should be appalled by what Tinubu and his legal team are doing to the office of the President, the Constitution, our Court and the legal Profession.

This case is not about him but the sanctity of the office of the President and precedent on who can occupy that Office - Baron Chymaker

Politics / BBC Investigation Finds Evidence Rigging In Nigeria Presidential Election. by Trumpcard05: 5:05pm On May 16, 2023
A BBC investigation has found evidence suggesting some results from Nigeria's presidential election may have been manipulated.
The winner Bola Tinubu is due to be inaugurated on 29 May but the opposition is challenging this.
The BBC has uncovered significant anomalies in Rivers state, a key battleground, although not sufficient to change the overall national outcome of the election, which took place in February.
There are also questions over the identity of an election official who read out some of the unexplained results.
How votes are counted in Nigeria
On 25 February, Nigerians cast their votes at thousands of polling stations across the country.
At each polling station, the votes for the party of each candidate were publicly announced and the results sheets taken for collation first at the ward level, then at local government (LGA) centres.
An election official from each LGA then travelled to the state capital, where these results were officially declared.

For the first time in a Nigerian election, photographs of the polling station results sheets were published online by the electoral commission.
This made it possible to add up all the polling station sheets and to compare them with the results declared at the state level.
What we found in Rivers state
We added up the voting tally sheets from over 6,000 polling stations in Rivers state, where many of the opposition complaints had been made.
While the official result in this state gave a clear majority to Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), our tally suggested that Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) had actually received most votes in the state by a wide margin.
Chart of results from Rivers state
We found an increase of just over 106,000 in Mr Tinubu's vote in the official declaration when compared with our polling station tally - almost doubling his total in the state.
In contrast, Mr Obi's vote had fallen by over 50,000.
It's important to make clear that although we searched through the election website for every single one of the 6,866 polling stations in Rivers state, we were not able to obtain results from all of them.
Some were incorrectly uploaded, others were missing, even after a month from the date of polling.
For about 5% of polling stations, the photos of tally sheets were too blurred for us to read. It's reasonable to assume that the official count would have included these as they would have had the original documents.
In another 17%, there were no results at all. Many of these would have been places where no voting took place due to security issues or the non-arrival of voting materials. Others had technical problems preventing officials uploading the documents.
So there clearly would have been more polling stations included in the final official results that weren't included in the BBC investigation.
However, these additional tally sheets would have increased the totals for each party, not decreased them. And what we found was that the votes for Peter Obi's Labour Party had decreased sharply in Rivers state.
So how can the sharp fall in votes for Peter Obi - in the official result - be explained?

Where were the biggest discrepancies?
Two areas stood out.
The first was the Oyigbo local government area, where we found:
The vote for Bola Tinubu was six times larger in the officially announced results compared with the BBC's polling station count
Peter Obi's votes had been cut in half
Chart of results from Oyigbo LGA
The second local government area where we found major discrepancies was in nearby Obio/Akpor:
The official result for Mr Tinubu was 80,239 votes, but we counted just 17,293 votes from polling station tallies
The count for Mr Obi was announced officially as just 3,829 votes, but the BBC counted 74,033 votes for him on the tally sheets
Chart of result from Obio/Akpor LGA
So how did these differences occur?
As explained earlier, all the polling station sheets are collated at local government (LGA) headquarters.
We found an official election document with these collated votes for the Oyigbo area, signed by an election official and some of the party agents.

Several different photographs had been taken of it and uploaded on social media accounts.
The numbers in this document closely matched our own tallies for the two leading candidates (Obi and Tinubu).
This would have been one of the 23 collation sheets from LGAs in Rivers state taken to the state capital, Port Harcourt, for the official declaration.
Broadcast live on television on 27 February, in front of a bank of microphones, Oyigbo election official, Dr Dickson Ariaga, announced his name and that he worked for the Federal College of Education in Omoku.
On the recording, the word "Omoku" is indistinct, but there is only one Federal College of Education in Rivers state.
Dr Ariaga then read out the results for each party in alphabetical order, including for all the smaller parties.

They all matched those on the collation sheet the BBC had obtained. But when he reached Mr Tinubu's APC, instead of saying 2,731 as written on our photograph of the sheet, he read out "16,630".
Then for Mr Obi's party (LP) the figure changed again - instead of the 22,289 seen on the sheet, he announced "10,784", more than halving his vote.

The mystery surrounding Dickson Ariaga
We asked the electoral commission if we could speak to Dr Ariaga, but they would not give us his details or reach out to him for us.
We spoke to the election official seated next to Dr Ariaga, but she told us she wasn't authorised to talk to the press.
So we sent a reporter to the Federal College of Education in Omoku, about two hours drive north of Port Harcourt, where he'd said he worked when introducing himself.
The Deputy Provost Moses Ekpa told the BBC: "From our records, both from our payroll and from our human resources, there is no such a name in our system and we don't know such a person."

We tried tracking him down on social media and eventually came across another Facebook account for someone in Port Harcourt, whose profile details had the name Dickson Ariaga.
When we compared an image from this account to the television pictures of Dr Ariaga using Amazon Rekognition software, we achieved a match of 97.2%, indicating a very high probability they're the same man.
Dr Ariaga did not respond to messages sent by us to this account.
By reaching out to his Facebook friends we did finally manage to speak to a man who said he was a relative, who was at first willing to help us but then didn't return our calls.
What have the authorities said?
We put these findings to Nigeria's Independent National Electoral Commission (Inec).
Johnson Sinikiem, Inec's regional spokesman in Port Harcourt, told us that due to a "gross shortage of time and personnel" they had needed to take on some people without verifying their identity documents.
Referring to Dr Ariaga, he said: "If he had presented himself as a lecturer from [the college in Omoku] and it's otherwise, then he is dishonest."
We also approached Inec's headquarters in Abuja for a response to our findings of discrepancies in the results in Rivers state. We were told that they were unable to comment due to ongoing legal challenges.
This is just one case in one state in southern Nigeria where the evidence points to the results having been manipulated.
On their own, these altered results would not have decisively swayed the outcome of the presidential election. Bola Tinubu won the national presidential vote by 1.8m votes over his nearest rival, Atiku Abubakar of the PDP.
We're still looking for Dr Ariaga to respond to the findings in this report.

Romance / Cojoined Twins Share A Pelvis,vagina & Liver–one Has A Boyfriend & Other Asexual by Trumpcard05: 7:38pm On Apr 28, 2023
Conjoined twins Lupita and Carmen Andrade, 22, have lived a life that is unique.

The sisters, however, don't share a boyfriend. Carmen has a boyfriend named Daniel, while Lupita is asexual

They share a liver, bloodstream, reproductive system and vagina. With one leg each, Lupita controls the left; Carmen the right.

In a recent interview with the Today show, the pair answered the questions they receive most often from the public.

“It’s not all rainbows and sunshine," Carmen told the American TV outlet. "We’ve had a lot of challenges, but we have a great life."

Aged 22, they were born in Mexico but grew up in Connecticut. They took their first steps age four, but only after receiving years of physical therapy to teach them how to sit up and control their legs as a pair.

Despite the arduous journey they've had over the years, surgery has never been an option for Carmen and Lupita as the risks are too high and it could be fatal for one or both of them.

"If we had separation surgery, either one of us would die, both of us would die or we’d end up in the ICU and never get out," Lupita shared.

Naturally, they've done everything together their whole lives - that is, until Carmen got a boyfriend.

Carmen’s been with her boyfriend Daniel since 2020, whereas Lupita is not only single, but also asexual.

Unsurprisingly, dating as conjoined twins has presented challenges for the pair, and yet they've managed.

She met her boyfriend Daniel on Hinge in October 2020.

“I never tried to hide the fact that I’m a conjoined twin, which meant I got a lot of messages from guys with fetishes,” Carmen told Today.

But although the couple have been dating since 2020, they are not sexually involved with each other.

In an interview with Jubilee, Carmen said of when they started dating: “We obviously had to have a discussion on what boundaries are ok what aren’t.”

But Daniel “is ok” with the dynamic, she said, and they actually have more of a “close friendship”.

Long-term, Carmen and her boyfriend want to live together before they eventually hope to get engaged. They love children, but they don’t want their own.

“Daniel and I love kids, but we don’t want any of our own. I like being a dog mom!"

She also added: "Lupita and I can’t get pregnant, we have endometriosis and we’re also on a hormone blocker that prevents us from menstruating.”

But dividing their free-time fairly is something that makes Carmen feel guilty, because she wants to spend so much time with her boyfriend.

“Sometimes I feel bad because I want to spend so much time with Daniel. So we try to come up with compromises. Like, she will choose where we go out to dinner, or what activity we’re going to do.”

In other areas of life, the sisters’ similarities conveniently overlap. They both want to work in the veterinary industry and they share the same fashion taste – but Lupita does have hopes of being a comedy writer someday.

Remarkably, the pair revealed they also share feelings.

“I can feel when Carmen is anxious or about to cry. It’s that same stomach drop,” Lupita said.

“When we were nearly 6, we had a nightmare that we were going to fall off of a plane, and then we literally fell off of our bed,” Carmen added.

“That only happened once, but we can feel the other person’s emotions. That happens all the time.”

Despite spending so much time together, they don’t grow weary of one another and are "happy just the way they are" despite all the challenges, because ultimately it's all they've ever known.

Foreign Affairs / Sudan: First Flight Carrying Britons Leaves African Country -with Two More To Go by Trumpcard05: 5:56pm On Apr 25, 2023
The first flight carrying British nationals has left Sudan, with two more trips to take place overnight, Downing Street has said.

Around 4,000 UK passport holders have been stranded after heavy fighting broke out in the east African country.

One RAF plane has already collected people from an airfield near Khartoum.

Priority will be given to families with children, the elderly and people with medical conditions.

Britons will also have to reach the airfield themselves - negotiating checkpoints and potential outbreaks of fighting - as no escorts are being provided.

But Number 10 said they should no longer wait to be called and make their way to the airfield now.

Politics / Shun ‘bread And Butter’ Politicians, Jonathan Tells Nigerians by Trumpcard05: 6:08am On Aug 14, 2022
Ex-president left lasting legacies, says Oshiomhole

Efforts of past leaders, especially those of the First Republic to unite Nigeria failed because they were regional but not nationalistic in their programmes and policies, former President Goodluck Jonathan lamented on Saturday.

Jonathan however explained that the leaders did their best to also position the country for economic prosperity, while the attempts yielded more to centrifugal forces which reinforced ethnic interests.

The former President also charged Nigerians to be circumspect in the exercise of their voting rights, saying, “We must shift away from the politics of bread and butter.”

Jonathan stated this in his paper titled: ‘Lasting legacy: Key to Nigeria’s development issues’, at the one-year memorial lecture in honour of late Captain Hosa Okunbo in Abuja.

According to him, the present crop of leaders inherited a country that was already balkanised into three regions and later four regions.

Jonathan said, “I believe that the legacy of nationhood and roots of unity were weak at Nigeria’s independence and not much has been done since then to strengthen the base of the union.
The decision to shift away from the regional arrangement to a national focus, where Nigerians will begin to see their country as their common heritage, need a different orientation, planning, strategy and adaptation.

“My charge to Nigerians is to be circumspect in the exercise of their voting rights. We must shift away from the politics of bread and butter and ensure that we do not elect leaders that will buy our conscience today and mortgage the future of our children and grandchildren. We should endeavour to elect only those that will leave legacies of unity, peace and development.”

At the event, a former Minister of Education, Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili urged politicians to develop the education sector, she lamented would continue to elude Nigeria and other African countries if the political class does not invest in education.

She said, “When you look at the parameters and issues in our country, especially the current data, it shows that the continent is in crisis and it has to deal with some of the things that the former President Jonathan said about society, It’s that nine out of every 10 Africans do not have the literacy and numeracy skills required of Children of their age in other parts of the world.

In a similar vein, spokesperson for the Atiku presidential campaign, Dino Melaye, recalled how Capt. Hosa Okunbor, assisted him in the past. He described Jonathan as “the most productive immediate past President Nigeria ever had.”

Meanwhile, former governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, said Jonathan left a lasting legacy that set a pedestal for his successors.

He said, “Part of your legacy was when you launched the almajiri school and your thought was that no Nigerian child should be left on the street and also appropriated special funds.” he said.

In addition, the Olu of Warri and son-in-law of the deceased, Ogiame Atuwase III decried the glorification of stomach infrastructure in Nigeria’s political culture.

While lauding Jonathan for not upturning the presidential elections in 2015, the monarch decried the lack of trust in the country.

He said, “As a nation, we are in a situation of raw survival which fosters an environment that escalates grievances and creates social chaos. And before we know it, we are in a culture of deception and there is no peace where there is no trust. And there is no trust where there is no truth in words, which is why it’s easy for not just politicians, anyone really to just say something and they don’t believe in what they are saying.”

Politics / Increased Minimum Wage’ll Provide Succour To Edo Workers, Pensioners — Obaseki by Trumpcard05: 5:23am On Aug 11, 2022
Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has said the increment in the state’s minimum wage from N30,000 to N40,000 as well as payment of the harmonised pension to retirees were to provide succour to workers and pensioners, who were overburdened by the weight of the harsh economic realities in the country.

Obaseki, who addressed journalists in Benin City, yesterday, said the state government remains committed to the welfare of workers and would sustain policies and programmes to ensure that the workers were adequately empowered to deliver quality service to Edo people.

It will be recalled that Obaseki had on 2022 Workers Day announced the payment of harmonised pension to retirees in the state after 21 years, as well as the increment in the minimum wage in the state from N30,000 to N40,000.

He said: “I want to assure workers in the state that, as a government, we feel their pains. We know that things are tough and wish we had more resources as a state government for our people.

The N40, 000 minimum wage we introduced was because of the pain our people are facing. This was not when dollar was N700, it was when the dollar was still N400. So, you can imagine how the hardship of workers had progressed or is progressing.

“As a government, we will join you to do everything possible to make sure that we get those who are in charge and those who are responsible for managing this country at the national level to stop this pain.”

Hailing workers in the state for their continuous support to the government, Obaseki said: “We have enjoyed tremendous goodwill from Edo workers. It is on record that no strike or protest has been embarked upon by any of the unions against our administration, except it is politically motivated. I am not sure that there is any government outside this state that can boast of such records.

“This has been made possible by all Edo workers because of the trust they have in us and by the grace of God, we will not betray that trust.”

Politics / 2023: Wrong Choice Will Consume Nigeria, Says Obasanjo by Trumpcard05: 5:12am On Aug 11, 2022
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Wednesday urged Nigerians to make the right choice during the 2023 general elections.

He warned that making the wrong choice in the election may consume the nation.

Obasanjo spoke as the special guest of honour at the Wilson Badejo Foundation’s 15th annual lecture with the theme, ‘Overcoming the twin challenge of poverty and insecurity in Nigeria’ held in Lagos.

The former President expressed the hope that if the right choice was made in 2023, the nation may witness progress.

“It is either we make the right choice in 2023 because if we make the right choice, we would get there.

“However, if we do not make the right choice in 2023, things would consume us and we pray against that one. We must make the right choice in 2023,” Obasanjo said.

He had earlier said that Nigeria has not taken its rightful position because of poverty and insecurity.

He said, “Nigeria is not where it is supposed to be today. If anyone says it is ok where we are at the moment, then the person’s head needs to be examined.

My friend, late Ahmed Joda, used to tell me that God has given us everything a nation needs and there’s no need for prayers because if God has given you everything and you squandered it, then something is wrong.

“I told him that even at that, we still need prayers as a nation because what is good needs prayers and on the other side too, we still need more prayers.”

The guest speaker who is the Director-General of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Prof Eghosa Osaghea, in his lecture titled, ‘Overcoming the twin challenge of poverty and insecurity in Nigeria,’ explained that when “one’s country fails the individual, then that individual becomes a failure.”

He said, “Poverty cannot divide us but it binds us what divides us is corruption. If you see street protests across the world, it is the poor who do it.

“Corruption, by whatever means, is what causes division.

“Many people today dig their boreholes for water, employ private security units, etc, yet, these are things that the state should have put in place.

“It is the duty of the state to provide these for the common good of all.”

Politics / Fuel Subsidy: Nigeria Facing Existential Threat, World Bank Warns by Trumpcard05: 5:00am On Aug 11, 2022
In light of Nigeria’s dwindling revenue, the continued payment of trillions of naira on fuel subsidy by the government and the attendant economic challenges, the World Bank on Wednesday raised the alarm that the country might be facing an existential threat.

The international financial institution warned that if the country failed to optimise its tax system and focus on other areas to boost its revenue, the already low revenue would continue to drop. It noted that despite the rise in the price of oil in the international market, Nigeria had not reaped the benefits because of the huge amount spent on fuel subsidy.

The Senior Public Sector Specialist, Domestic Resource Mobilisation, at the World Bank, Mr Rajul Awasthi, said these at a virtual pre-summit, with the theme ‘Critical Tax Reforms for Shared Prosperity’, organised by the Nigerian Economic Summit Group on Wednesday. He insisted Nigeria would have to eliminate the subsidy regime eventually.

After the Federal Government earmarked about N4tn for subsidy payment in 2022, the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, said recently that government might spend a whopping N6.72tn as fuel subsidy in 2023 or pay N3.36tn up to mid-2023 if the subsidy regime would was to end in May 2023.

Also, the minister had consistently said the nation was battling with revenue problems, which had compelled the government to keep borrowing. The debt stock had risen to N41.6tn in the first quarter of 2022 with projections that it could peak at N45tn by the end of the year. Nigeria is rated the fifth on the list of the World Bank’s debtors, with $11.7bn debt stock as of June 30, 2021.

The International Monetary Fund had in March projected that Nigeria might spend 93 per cent of its revenue on debt servicing in 2022, but the minister disclosed a few weeks ago that about 119 per cent of the country’s revenue was spent on debt servicing. This implied that government had to borrow to meet its debt financing obligations, a development many economists had described as disturbing and unsustainable.

The virtual event, anchored by the PwC’s Fiscal Policy Partner and Thematic Lead, NESG Fiscal Policy and Planning Thematic Group, Mr Taiwo Oyedele, was attended by several stakeholders, including the representative of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria and the Executive Secretary of the Joint Tax Board, Mrs Nana-Aisha Obomeghie.

Meanwhile, in a slide he shared during his presentation, which showed Nigeria’s Development Update, Awasthi explained that between 2015 and 2019, Nigeria’s non-oil revenues were among the lowest in the world and as a result the second lowest in spending, and that oil revenues were also falling even when oil prices were higher.

He stated, “Nigeria has the largest economy in Africa and the largest country in Africa by population, so it is critical to Africa’s progress. There is no doubt about that. But the government of Nigeria, from the public finance perspective, is really facing an existential threat. Let’s not downplay the situation. That is the actual reality.

Politics / Obi-dient Movement: A New Nigeria’s Possible, Utomi Assures by Trumpcard05: 5:20am On Aug 10, 2022
CONVENER of Big Tent of Political Parties in Nigeria, Prof. Pat Utomi, yesterday charged the citizens of the country that a new prosperous Nigeria was achievable in 2023.

He said the country would become prosperous through some of the insightful initiatives the movement intended to roll out in a matter of weeks, including ‘Listening Clinics’ initiative.

Utomi, who stated this at a media briefing in Lagos yesterday, said: “Our objective this morning (yesterday) is to introduce a number of programmes we are initiating this October that will raise the ground for a mass entrepreneurial, moral and motivational initiative of social engineering. The programme will usher in a prosperous, fair and just social order as a new Nigeria.

“The determination of the third force is that the government of 2023 has to be people’s government which inclines us to begin the necessary corrections of biggest areas APC and PDP has failed.

In our view, the biggest error and failure of the past governments is that they forgot how to listen to the people.

“They cut off the people, probably not recognizing it and as the saying goes; the voice of the people is the voice of God. You really completely loose it when you stop listening to the people and acting according to that voice. True essence of leadership is the duty to listen and that has failed to happen in our recent experience.”

Speaking on the programes, Utomi said: “These listening clinics will be opportunities for people across the country in different economic sectors and communities to express themselves of what their real problems are, and suggestions on how they think the healing can come.

“To shepherd these initiatives, we have a network of the youth centers bringing together both the work think tank and the strategy groups of Big Tent.

As we all know, August is African Climate Month and the scope of our announcement today will also include programmes of youths and youthful clean-up to take back their country in this African Climate month.

“Interestingly, International Youth Day also happens to be in August. We want to urge the youth of our country through a systematic program that the Obidient Movement is developing to begin to take over their country by taking over the environmental challenges.”

Announcing other initiatives of the Big Tent, he said: “One of them is entrepreneurship training programmes which will be offered free to young people across Nigeria; capital support with Soro soke group, among others.”

He also challenged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, not to disenfranchise Nigerians by refusing to extend the voters’ registration till October.

Suspected terrorists have attacked the convoy of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 12 with Headquarters in Bauchi, Audu Madaki, injuring him and killing one of his police guards.

Although the reports are still sketchy as of the time of filing this report, it was learnt that the AIG was on his way to Abuja from Bauchi when the suspected terrorists ambushed and attacked him.

The incident was said to have happened between Barde and Jagindi area in Kaduna State on Tuesday at about 2.30pm.

A source at the Zone 12 headquarters told our Correspondent that AIG Audu Madaki was shot at and injured during the attack while his Orderly was shot dead.

Politics / Nation’s Woes: Seek Obi’s Help, Group Tells Buhari by Trumpcard05: 2:04pm On Jul 30, 2022
The Peter Obi Support Network has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to seek ideas from the Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, on how to tackle the myriad of challenges currently facing the country.

The group specifically listed the rising level of insecurity, warnings of potential terrorist attacks across the country and the unprecedented crash of the naira, among other problems the President must begin to address.

In a statement by its Director of Strategic Communication, Mr Onwuasoanya Jones, on Friday, the group stated that the former Anambra State governor had shown himself to be capable of ending insecurity.

He added that his ideas could be vital to the current administration, which was obviously overwhelmed with the raging insecurity.

Jones added that as patriot whose motivation for seeking to be President was not borne out of selfish reasons, Obi would be ready to offer an idea that would benefit Nigerians.

He also acknowledged that the Federal Government might have adopted Obi’s idea on how best to arrest the rapid decline in the value of the naira, with the CBN governor’s directive that anyone caught buying dollar with naira would be arrested.

According to him, the CBN’s directive was informed by Obi’s speech few weeks ago, in which he warned that any government official caught spending dollars will be arrested if he becomes President.

Politics / Northern Christian Heavyweights Launch Offensive Against Tinubu, Shettima by Trumpcard05: 1:58pm On Jul 30, 2022
Opposition against the Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress deepened on Friday as popular Christian members of the party vowed to mobilise voters against it in 2023.

The aggrieved Christian members said the decision of the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to pick a fellow Muslim from the northern part of the country as his running mate was an error that they would fight with their voter cards in February next year.

Some northern Christian leaders in the APC on Friday called on Nigerians to reject any ticket that was not mixed between Christians and Muslims during the 2023 elections.

According to them, since the Muslim-Muslim ticket for the presidency is divisive, it must be rejected by all patriotic Nigerians.

They barred their minds during the APC Northern Christian Leaders’ Summit, saying the insinuation that northern Muslims would not support a Christian running mate to Tinubu was untrue and divisive.

Among the leaders, who spoke during the event, were a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal; a former Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara; a former Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung; and Senator Ishaku Abbo (Adamawa North).

Tinubu might not be my candidate of choice, but I will never support mocking anyone just because they're older or less stronger.

That’s not the point. The point is the baba is old and should go home and play with his grandchildren. Instead of wanting to come again to foist the liability he is on Nigerians.

Politics / POLITICS2023: We Will Fight Muslim-muslim Ticket With Prayers – Babachir Lawal by Trumpcard05: 7:48am On Jul 30, 2022
A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, has said the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 presidential election will be resisted with prayers.

Lawal stated this during the APC Northern Christian leaders summit on Friday.

The ruling party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, picked Kashim Shettima, the former governor of Borno, a Muslim, as his running mate.

Tinubu’s decision has led to mixed reactions from key stakeholders, particularly the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

“Clearly, there is an agenda to politically, religiously, and economically suppress and oppress the Northern Christian. But we are up to the task.

He added: “The main purpose of this historical narrative is to let you know that for The APC, a Muslim-Muslim ticket has been a long-term political strategy and not a one-off decision.

“Thus, all this talk of competence as the reason for the choice of the Muslim VP is balderdash and diversionary. This is a calculated anti-Christian exclusion agenda that is being implemented.”

Education / Oromoni: Black Substance Found In Victim’s Intestine - Pathologist Sunday Soyemi by Trumpcard05: 7:06am On Feb 09, 2022
Oromoni: Black substance found in victim’s intestine, LASUTH lacks testing lab, says pathologist

A pathologist at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Dr Sunday Soyemi, on Tuesday, said a blackish substance was found in the intestine of 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni (Junior), a pupil of Dowen College, Lekki, Lagos, who died in controversial circumstances.

Soyemi stated this while being cross-examined by the family’s lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), before the coroner inquest set up to unravel the cause of the boy’s death.

The news of Sylvester’s death went viral following a social media post by his cousin, Perry Oromoni, who alleged that some senior pupils of the college beat him up in his hostel because he refused to join a cult.

But the school denied the claim, stating that the boy complained of leg pains following an injury he sustained while playing football.

A coroner inquest was subsequently set up to look into the circumstances surrounding the death.

At the Tuesday proceedings, Soyemi, while being led in evidence by the Director of Public Prosecutions, Babajide Martins, said the first autopsy carried out on the corpse was botched because the process was not properly done.

Soyemi, who faulted the first autopsy report, noted that some organs that would have revealed whether the victim died of ingestion of a poisonous substance were not cut by the first pathologist.

According to Soyemi, the deceased had a generalised infection that could have been treated with massive doses of antibiotics, intravenous fluid and blood transfusion.

He said, “Following the order for a post-mortem examination issued by the coroner, I conducted a second autopsy on the body of the deceased. An initial interim report was issued and finally, a full autopsy report was also issued to the office of the coroner.

“Prior to the conduct of the autopsy, I did a total body radiograph to rule out any skeletal injury, that is, fracture; none was found and the radiologist confirmed there was no fracture. Before I started the autopsy, the doctor who conducted the first autopsy was in attendance and he was in attendance throughout. So, I observed that the autopsy was not properly done. All that was not properly done is documented in my statement.

“For example, at the first autopsy, the pathologist never opened the oesophagus; the oesophagus is the food pipe. He also did not open the trachea; it is the air path through which we breathe. These are vital things that he should not have missed out.

“He concluded his report as chemical intoxication. For one to be intoxicated with a chemical, that chemical has to pass through the oesophagus, that is the food path. For someone that has not opened the food path, he cannot talk about chemical intoxication. A chemical that would be injurious to one, after ingestion, should cause injuries on the oesophagus because it would pass through the oesophagus, so it should never have been anything near chemical intoxication if he did not open the oesophagus.

“He also did not open the lungs; he did not detach the lungs from the heart. If he had done that and waded the lungs, it would tell him that something is wrong with the lungs. These are some of the many things he did not do. He did a botched autopsy and this was the cause of the controversy surrounding this case.”

However, Soyemi, during cross-examination by Falana, told the inquest that he did not carry out any test on the black substance found in the deceased’s intestine on the grounds that LASUTH did not have a laboratory to test poisonous substances.

He further admitted that the substance found in the intestine could have been anything as it was not tested to confirm what it was.

Soyemi also denied authorising a television interview granted by the doctor representing Dowen College, Dr Iwikwe Isabella, who spoke on the autopsy findings.

He said, “That’s not the practice. I was embarrassed when the report was being discussed on TV. I was embarrassed in the sense that she didn’t perform the autopsy; she observed all through. It’s not the normal practice even if you have done the autopsy.”

Soyemi, who noted that his findings showed that the deceased had lobar pneumonia, infection of the lung, liver, and also infection on the right ankle, maintained that the deceased died of septicaemia.

He explained that if the deceased was physically assaulted or beaten, all the exposed areas would show haemorrhage.

Earlier, the presiding magistrate, Mikhail Kadiri, had a heated argument with Falana when the counsel objected to a question the director of public prosecutions asked Soyemi.

Falana noted that Kadiri was fond of saying the inquest was not a regular court at his convenience.

However, the duo later settled the matter.

Romance / Re: MEN!! GO MGTOW Or You Could Suffer The Same Fate Of This Young Man!! (Photo) by Trumpcard05: 9:53am On Oct 16, 2021
So passionate! The OP does paint a pessimistic outlook on the female folks and from the many evidence we’ve seen u really can’t fault him.

We can’t however paint all of them with the same brush though. There are still some good ones.
The problem I’ve found from my experience that some women have is a lack of the sense of good judgment. They are given more to manipulation to try to have their way. Others are a creation of the very men themselves who by betraying the very trusting nature of females have made ‘them woke’ in their own words and you see them do these things in anticipation or retaliation.
This vicious cycle will continue unfortunately.

Marriage is a good thing IF you find the right partner. Partner being the keyword. Nigerians especially the female folks don’t understand this.

Pets / Snake Slithers Out Of Spice Shelves At Sydney Supermarket by Trumpcard05: 6:37pm On Aug 18, 2021
A grocery run turned into a snake rescue for an Australian woman when she was greeted by a python poking out from a supermarket shelf.
Helaina Alati, 25, was at a Sydney store on Monday when the 3m non-venomous snake slithered out.
The Woolworths supermarket lies on the edge of a large expanse of bushland on the city's north- west outskirts.
But encountering a snake in the spice aisle is not what Ms Alati expected.

Fortunately for both parties, Ms Alati is a wildlife rescuer and familiar with snakes.
"I just turned my head and he was about 20cm from my face, just looking straight at me," she told the BBC.
She did a double-take but remained calm. No one else was around.
Recognising it instantly as a diamond python, Ms Alati knew it wasn't venomous as it protruded and flicked its tongue.
"He was looking straight at me the whole time, almost like he was saying: 'Can you take me outside please?'" she said.

After filming the snake, Ms Alati alerted staff and said she could help them get it out.
She retrieved a snake bag from her home, returned to the store, "tapped him on the tail and he just slithered in".
She then released it away from houses in bushland - a natural habitat for the species around Sydney.
'Like a scene from Harry Potter'
A trained snake handler, Ms Alati has conducted at least 20 snake rescues before.
She says her friends have previously joked about her being "the snake girl", referencing a zoo scene in a Harry Potter film where the boy wizard finds that he can talk to snakes.
Ms Alati says she can't speak Parseltongue like Harry, but "that scene's been mentioned to me a few times".
"They kind of just gravitate to me, like maybe they just sense that I'm the kind of person into caring and protecting animals," she said.

To be honest, it's the most exciting thing that's happened in a little while given lockdown. The staff were all taking photos of it."
Australia's largest city has been in a lockdown since June to fight a Delta outbreak. Grocery shopping is one of the few reasons people are allowed to leave their homes.
Ms Alati said she suspected the snake had been in the shop overnight, probably initially in the ceiling where diamond pythons like to nestle.
It had probably lurked on the shelf all morning as "dozens of people... passed it and grabbed spices", she added.
