PlsStayAlive: Speaking from NYSC experience: 1. Timetable will decide how often you teach your subjects, school should provide that. 2. Syllabus and books for lesson plan/biros/chalk/textbooks for the lesson plan planning should be given my VP admin or whoever is in charge of it. 3. Classwork and assignment once per week (make sure to mark and record these) I'll write more when I remember more thank you so much my boss. I appreciate, I have written all these |

Think9ja: Stories for the gods..
If you don't add a bit of lie in your resume, nobody will call you. Recruiters are looking for only two things in a resume; Experience and Achievements. If you lack in any of these, you need extra grace. It's not by using figma designs on your resume...
About the phone call, I honestly wouldn't like a recruiter to contact me through a phone call, anybody can just call anybody. Reason why banks will always tell you not to attend to phone calls about your account. That's why there's an email. Even the email is not a personal email, it has to be company email
Also, are you the only recruiter offering that same kind of service in Nigeria? I've lost count on the number of jobs and the company names I applied last week. If a recruiter calls me and start asking me random questions I will fall because I don't know the particular one I am being asked about because I didn't use one resume for all
Finally, the biggest scam in Nigeria is the issue of character. Character is good, but it's not a big factor. That was how they said a degree is in character and learning, yet, some lecturers don't even know the faces of their students. Infact, some first class students are cultists. Are they first class in character too?
Na only God go help us for this limited job market this insight is so wonderful brother. Especially the first paragraph about experience and achievements, that's what I used during a recent interview and got a job. All those achievements were lies and experience non existent |

Khafsun: Is. That so
You're the one who is unprofessional not the candidates. Once you give a call, you immediately introduce yourself and why you're calling before they utter a word. "Good morning. My name is Femi. I'm calling regarding an application you made to...... for the position of..... Is this....?"
Not "Hello, how are you?" it's within their right to be cautious to someone whom they can't ascertain is on the line. You could be a scammer trying to steal some of their details. In fact, in this day an age, with AI, some scammers require just a sample of your voice and they will be able to authorise and meander through major security checks. So because of your unprofessional ways and 80k job. They should always lose guard.
The point about them not remembering they applied to your work means you're not aware of the realities of hiring. So you expect them to make only one application once per month for a company that might not even acknowledge your application or make them in hundreds per day. It's clear you don't know it's both a game of numbers for the recruiter and the applicant.
In a normal professional setting, you're meant to email these candidates, informing them of suitable dates or time for a phone call. Not just call whenever and be say they didn't pick up.
It's clear that because you were retained after NYSC, you have no idea how recruiting and job applications work. Arrogance and ignorance. this so wonderful boss |

Jobs/Vacancies › I've Just Been Employed As A Teacher, What Should I Do Next? by TrustNone(op): 11:15am On Aug 29, 2023 |
Hello guys, I graduated earlier this year but couldn't serve as I wasn't eligible for NYSC as I was above 30 years of age when I graduated.
Coming back to Port Harcourt, I applied as a Subject Teacher in several schools, went through several interviews and made it, after going through their salary rates, I had to go for the highest bidder which is 40k and I'll be Teaching two subjects..
Now the thing is, I lied heavily that I'm a experienced Teacher during the interview and added imaginary and non existent schools to my CV, what made me scaled through the interview here was that I researched and also went through several threads and noted down all what could possibly be asked and I also obtained lesson notes and lesson plan samples from one lessonnotes moniker, researched, practiced, found a topic and revised and scaled through the micro teaching, the next day I was offered the job.
Now schools would be resuming two weeks from now and I don't need to fumble, guys please any insight on what is expected of me as teacher?
How often should I give assignments? Where do I get the syllabus and textbooks? How often should I teach a topic, should it be one week per topic? Any other thing I need to know? Your inputs would be so highly welcomed. |

Sports › Re: Sheffield United Vs Manchester City: Prediction, Preview, Team News & Lineups by TrustNone: 3:45pm On Aug 27, 2023 |
CrockvibesPRO: Sheffield United is yet to score any points since their comeback to the top tier. They’re aiming for a major upset in the Premier League as they prepare to face reigning champions Manchester City at Bramall Lane on Sunday.
In their last match, Sheffield United suffered a 2-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest. On the other hand, Pep Guardiola’s team, Manchester City, continued their flawless start to the season with a 1-0 victory over Newcastle United.
Sheffield United lacked attacking spark in their first match against Crystal Palace, but the recent addition of Gustavo Hamer brought a refreshing change when they faced Forest on a recent Friday. Hamer’s impressive goal, however, couldn’t secure a win for the team.
Forest’s key player, Taiwo Awoniyi, quickly put them ahead by connecting with Serge Aurier’s cross within three minutes. Hamer countered with a spectacular long-range shot to level the score for Sheffield United. But it was Chris Wood who clinched victory for Forest in the 89th minute with a header from another Aurier delivery.
Sheffield United could use some improvement in defending against crosses, as all three of their conceded goals in the 2023-24 season so far have come from deliveries into the box. This has led them to a 16th place in the early rankings.
While Gustavo Hamer’s exceptional goal against Forest raises hopes for his performance in the future, Sheffield United’s journey in the Premier League seems challenging. They’ve already faced setbacks with the departures of Iliman Ndiaye and Sander Berge earlier in the month.
Adding up their summer matches, Sheffield United has suffered five losses in their last six games, managing to score only two goals. As they prepare to play at Bramall Lane on Sunday, fans are more cautiously optimistic than expectant about the team’s performance.
Amidst Kevin De Bruyne’s unfortunate hamstring injury, Phil Foden stepped up as Manchester City’s creative force during their match against Newcastle at the Etihad last Saturday. Foden’s impressive performance was crucial in breaking down Newcastle’s strong defensive line.
Despite seeming slightly affected by their recent UEFA Super Cup victory, Manchester City managed a win with just one goal against Eddie Howe’s team. Foden set up Julian Alvarez for a remarkable goal into the far corner around the 30-minute mark.
Having also secured a convincing 3-0 win against Burnley in their opening match, Manchester City has already secured a spot near the top of the early-season league standings. However, even though they’ve scored eight goals, they’re currently in second place due to Brighton & Hove Albion’s impressive goal difference.
Manchester City is currently aiming for three consecutive clean sheets in the Premier League, a feat they haven’t accomplished since December 2021. They’ve introduced a new attacking asset, Jeremy Doku, who arrived from Rennes in a £55.8 million deal to strengthen their attack in the absence of Riyad Mahrez.
The 21-year-old Jeremy Doku might make his Premier League debut against a team that Manchester City has defeated in their last five encounters, each time maintaining a clean sheet. Sheffield United hasn’t beaten Manchester City since the 2007-08 FA Cup fourth-round match, when the late Luton Shelton scored the winning goal.

Racoon: Many of them now can live outside politics just because of the institutional corruption they benefit from hence kept bouncing from one political position to the other( governorship, senate/HOR, minister, Diplomatic portfolios, presidential envoys etc).
Nigeria really needs a clean break and freedom from these men of yesterday who are only desperately wickedly about their roles in the country’s future. though most of them laid the foundation for corruption for their successors but I still sha enjoyed their administration and they all played substantial roles as the first governors in a democratic Regime. #representating Obong Victor Attah |
