I was outside the fence clearing the bushes around the fence when I noticed my local chicken making some danger tone, I had to climbed up the fence (opted against opening the gate so that the noise from the gate won't scare whatever it is away), and when I looked where the fowls are then I saw this...
At first, I got excited and all when I saw it, until I heard the price. N10k for wetin? Na fruit of life? 👀
Yeah, I know I like soursop very much, but not to the extent of buying one soursop for N10k. As how naa?
You see why I keep telling you people to plant fruit trees? 👀 See, if you don't plant fruit trees today, someone might sell one mango to you for N5k someday o. Ehen! So, plant fruit trees.
I put the plastic bottle by the side, so one can have an idea of the size of the soursop.
You can't be serious right now right?
The same fruit that's getting wasting in my compound right now was the one sold for 10k per one? LIFE!!!
I have them plenty on the tree but I can only eat one, or max 2 in two weeks.
If there was a button you could press to go back to that era… would you press it?
That was my mum’s answer.
She began telling me what life really felt like growing up in Nigeria in the 70s and 80s… and the more she spoke, the more it felt like stepping into a completely different world.
The more she spoke, the more it sounded like a simpler life… but it makes you wonder… was it actually better?
Note: This was made from my mum’s perspective, so it might differ slightly from your own experience or that of your parents.
If you experienced this era (or heard stories about it), I’d really like to hear yours.
I also used that slate but not for long... It was fun actually, but, I think it's better now. Though, there is nothing that has advantages that doesn't have the opposite. LIFE!
Crime knows no age or gender If you lose guard, say you no wan work, you go collect😄
Devil's workshop don dey everyones mind oo, no be the idle alone, na home training still dey keep most of us from renting out part of that mind to the devil.
PlasmaTV: He should go to Kogi, Benin, Okene, Oyo/Ogbomosho.
He will see what he's looking for.
Oyo/Ogbomosho is almost done and many more that are still work in progress. Though, the economy is a shambles, poverty is getting worse, but there are still a lot of positive things to look into for 9ja.
Money is the root of MOST conflicts in the world, followed by women. That's why the later can't cope with the absence of the former cos, the former control the later.
As a man, have the former you can easily control and get to be submitted to by the later.
Kobojunkie: . This is all the more reason why the girl child should be trained to get herself financially established before marriage, so she has her own place to return to if marriage ends up not favoring her.😒😒😒
2. Yes, she has every right to boast of leaving marriage for her peace of mind. 😒😒
So far, in my journey of life, with this very little experience I have, majority of single mothers are jobless, don't have any reasonable or tangible thing doing, they most times beg to eat( sorry for this but it's the truth). I haven't seen or should I say there isn't so many independent or self established, working class single mothers that experience rejection, they most times have men that are ready to wife them.
Don't dare ask single mom "how are you doing"? We all know what will be the response.
Treasure17: You better change location. No government is coming to protect you. Bandits that are operating at the airport now.
Something will surely/definitely kills a man, but, I think as a Man, if you're not ready to defend yourself this useless government won't, try every means to arm yourself a little, be it Cutlass, knife, pepper spray and if possible gun (it could be all those locally made ones). This is the new 9ja
