In as much as this is disheartening, take a positive view of this.
This is Bible prophecy being fulfilled before your very nose. Believe it or not, many people of past times have been eager to witness prophecy being fulfilled.

2 Peter 2:1-3
“However, . . . there will also be false teachers among you. These will quietly bring in destructive sects, . . . and because of them the way of the truth will be spoken of abusively. Also, they will greedily exploit you with counterfeit words.”

Another prophecy, fast approaching, is in the remaining part of verse 3:
“But their judgment, decided long ago, is not moving slowly, and their destruction is not sleeping.”

This is solid proof that the Bible is the word of God. In as much as what is happening is disheartening, the EFFECT it should have on you is that if solidifying your trust in God's word. Should your trust in God's word be weakened because distasteful prophecies are being fulfilled? What if they're not being fulfilled at all? Would that strengthen your trust in God's word?
Keep in mind that beautiful prophecies are also being fulfilled. To me, I think virginity is over hyped. Losing to or protecting your virginity from a man doesn't guaranteed the success of that relationship.
I have some virgin ladies above 30, single and seriously searching. According to most of them, they're are still single because they refused to lose their virginity before getting married.
Now, most of them are complaining about how guys are not even calling or stopping them again. How long are they going to continue like that? Even when some of them are ready to let go of it there's no one in their life to give it to.
