At least, your own local chickens don't shit as much as Noilers.

Caging them will reduce their performance cos they are not adapted to that e.g the Cock running after the hen for puna , and the hen running a whole 1 mile from gbola is one of their adaptive ways and also, when the time comes for the hen yo lay she can't do that conveniently inside the cage

I don't know which side you are but here, a grower is sold for around 1500, I even bought mine for 1k each. So let's say at 1500, you can start with 4 ( 3 hens and 1 cock)

The thing is they thrive better roaming freely and it's less intensive or semi intensive, so caging them won't do them good

The the thing, I don't live close to my family house, different state. Just me, my wife and daughter living in a compound containing of six flats. The complain was just too much, I don't know what to do.

I think the only problem here is space, if you're living in your house or a rented apartment, in as much as it is fenced and you live there alone, no neighbors or anybody complaining about them (the native birds) then you're free. Have also started with the local hens around early March this year (3 hens and 1 cock), but 1 hen got killed a week after I bought by one of my neighbors complaining about their shit.

At the moment, the 2 remaining hen joined lay eggs together 18 eggs, in less than 3 weeks they will hatch. The problem now is, the more the hens, the more the complain from my neighbors.
