1000 naira now is equal to 1000 cfa now. In terms of feeding it is cheaper here because that 1000 cfa I quoted is actually what the low class family 4-5 people can use for feeding everyday. For example, it is their culture that a man gives his wife at least 500-1000 cfa everyday for feeding of the house. As a bachelor, if I use that 1000 cfa or 1,500 cfa to cook soup or stew with rice or their local corn meal called akume which is like semovita, I can use the soup two days if I store it properly.

As for doing business here, there are also no restrictions at all and nothing like extortion unlike Nigeria. Happy new month to everyone and I wish to thank God for his grace so far.

I have been a hustler for long trying to make ends meet and at a point I was able to save about 1.5million naira to travel to China but unfortunately I was duped and my hard earned money went to voicemail. I kept struggling and saving money to go to Europe but I was denied visa twice to two different countries and then I gave up.

I decided not to travel again but the stress and insecurity in Nigeria has been worrisome especially in my region so I decided to travel to any french speaking African country and just experience a whole new different life outside Nigeria. My initial plan was to go to Burkina Faso or Equitorial Guinea and I did some research that would guide me as I didn't know anyone in both countries and I was just determined to go on this adventure myself.

I saved up some money which got to almost 3 million naira and then I crossed my heart and made my trip. From Nigeria I crossed into Benin Republic and then to Togo where I was supposed to cross to Burkina Faso. On getting to Togo it was quite late so I had to pass the night in a cheap hotel of 2000cfa franc. In the hotel I met some Nigerians going to Ghana with some friends based in Togo. I was hearing their conversations as they drank at the bar while I sat alone with a bottle of their local beer Castle.

Being that in Togo I discovered they hardly speak English, I decided to introduce myself to those Nigerians so that I can make some enquiry from them and that was how we all got talking and gisting till late night. The guys based in Togo told me alot about Togo and how life is cheap if one has some capital to get accommodation and start a small business. I was made to understand there is steady light, water and security in the small country. The next day I was suppose to leave for Burkina Faso I decided to pay for the hotel room for a week and explore Togo a bit. The guys I met that were based in Togo already were really helpful and they took out time to show me around, know the prices of stuffs and where to buy cheap stuffs as well. I began to fall in love with the country except for the fact that most people don't understand English, though some try to understand and speak a little so you have to scatter the English for them to understand.

I decided to find a house and few days was enough for that. I got a room and parlor self contained house for 30,000cfa a month and paid a year which is 360,000cfa. They hold 6 months as deposit and after six months I start paying 30,000cfa monthly or anyhow I wish to stretch it based on my pocket. I just furnished it a little and I am just chilling with steady light on a brief. The house has a prepaid meter so I recharge and use according to my power.

After making some deep enquiry about what business to start at least for now, I bought a tricycle they call Apsonic here in Togo. It cost 1.4million cfa brand new plus the plate number registration and all. Then I found a driver who took it on hire purchase to balance 2.5million cfa at 25,000cfa per week.

My good people, I know I have not reached where I am going but I bless God for where I am coming from. Right now I just relax myself planning my next move while every Saturday I wait to receive my weekly salary. With life here if you are someone that knows how to manage, even 1000cfa can feed you a whole day so I am really doing my best to see how much I can save by the end of this year over here and know my next move.

The cost of living seems not to be quite different from that of Nigeria if the exchange rate is 1cfa franc to .71 naira from Google search is what is obtainable.

The 1,000 cfa you use to feed a whole day is about 700 naira. Some people can also manage that in some part of Nigeria.

So my mom and I haven’t been on best of terms when I was staying with them, my mom is a kind of person that if it doesn’t go her way or if you don’t do what she wants you are her enemy.

I left owerri march last year to come stay with my parents and since then it’s been hell, my moms urge to control everything that happens in your life is too much if you don’t do it she removes you from the circle of her children,

What do I mean by that let’s assume they don’t have food in the house n you have 5h with you, you go to buy something to eat cause you didn’t eat since morning after coming back from work n my mom sees you she I’ll pick offense won’t talk to you for a week, saying why during you bring the money let her cook for her children, and mind you we are seven boys in the house.

Now to the main part, her younger sister that died 2018 and the husband got married to another lady that ended up maltreating the kids The elder sister which is my cousin was always in battle with her step mom spiritual n physical, she says she wanted to leave the house n come to my moms place in Abuja which the dad was happy s was bout cause he was tired of her.

Her dad called my mom she picked her up n brought her to Abuja to start a new life, fast forward to recently the dad chased her younger brother too out of the house he had to sleep on the street and in the morning we boarded a bus to Abuja for him he came with no cloth or bag just how he was, then after that he and my mom started having issues. Mind you me n my cousin and mom have already started having issues but let’s skip that for now.

The boy is 15 years old, he said he saw my brother peeing on the ground in the toilet which is my younger brother who is also 13 they are age mates, so he said he told him to stop peeing on the ground and pee in the wc that what if another person comes now the toilet wil be smelling then that he (my younger brother started shouting at him), saying it’s his toilet he I’ll pee where he wants to.

So they had an argument and my cousins brother went to report to my mom, my mom started shouting at him that why would he tell him not to pee on the floor that is he mad like that like that, The boy was shocked at he response n said he wants to go back to his house in Lagos where they just chased him out from mind you this was just 3 weeks after he came,

Then my mom started ranting and saying that it’s my cousins that’s eating all of my money in this house mind you I was at work I was ent home,

My cousin didn’t utter a word too she was avoid the trouble that was brewing the, Dad came back the boy told my dad I was crying saying that he wants to go back to his house the next day he boarded the next bus and left till the date of typing this my mom hasent called him a 15yr old boy that lost his mom n took you as his mum,

So back to me from there you could see the trouble at home it got to a point my mom was saying I was sleeping with my cousin which came as a shook to me cause I’m never home anything to just stain my name or get me angry so she planned with my dad and they started telling my cousin to pack her things and leave the house someone that came to you for shelter cause they said her stepmom wanted to kill her my mom got a revelation that was if she goes back she’d die.

My mom played deaf to that one and kept on insisting she should go back and leave her house and being I was already planning to get an apartment for myself December my cousin called her dad her dad sent her half of the rent and we paid n moved in together since we left the house my mom has been calling all my uncles and aunties telling them that I’m sleeping with my sister which is absolutely wrong on all levels spoiling my name here and there, honestly I really couldn’t care much bebut I’m just disappointed is this how a mum should behave, it was from me not going to church on Sunday to her having issues with my dog saying we were too close or I was to close to my dog then to this now pls someone should just analyze this story and render your advice,

1. If the water baptism of John was ordered by God, and in John 3 vs 26 and John 4 vs 1-2, Jesus (through the apostles) continued water baptism, at what point did the order to stop water baptism come from God?

I think your problem is pride. I give up on you. I have given you enough evidence to buttress my point. The statement credited to John the Baptist and our Lord Jesus is enough to understand the era we are living in.

It is not through that God himself scanned the Bible. They were put together by men. And there are obvious errors but it doesn't affect the tenets of the Gospel.

2. Jesus will do the baptism with the Holy Ghost. This is 1000% true, nowhere did Jesus say anyone will baptize anyone with the Holy Ghost. The order Jesus gave before he ascended in Matthew 28 vs 19 was to baptize in the name of Jesus (The name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost is Jesus) just as they have been doing.
Matthew 28:19 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Baptize in the name of... is clearly different from baptize with the Holy Spirit.
Water baptism is carried out by a declaration: "I baptise you in the name of Jesus"

The baptism of the Holy Spirit starts with a prayer which you must participate in. You must open ur mouth and ask for the Holy Spirit or agree verbally that you wish to receive the Holy Spirit. And then we begin to pray and pray and pray till the Holy Spirit descends upon the person. You will admit that sometimes the Holy Spirit does not descend immediately we pray, sometimes it may take days of prayer or years of prayer, several laying on of hands, it could take fasting or a desperate move.

This is because it is not the pastor praying for you that will fill you or baptize you with the Holy Spirit. Only Jesus can do that. All the apostles can do is pray for you and lay hands on you while Jesus plays His part by filling you up.

Is it all the people the apostles prayed for that received the Holy Spirit?
Even as a firebrand pastor, is it all the people that answer the altar call that will receive the Holy Spirit?

But you can guarantee that all that are ready to be baptized by water will be baptized because that is our job. We control how and where the water baptism is done but you can't control how and when the baptism of the Holy Spirit takes place. I have heard of a sister who was prayed for for the baptism of the Holy Spirit for hours but no sign or confirmation or word of knowledge that she had been baptised, they resolved to continue when next she comes to church. However in the bus on her way home, she felt the Holy spirit descend on her and she bursted into tongues. The clerics did their part to pray for her and then the Holy Spirit decided to descend when she was in the bus. And sometimes the Holy Spirit descends as we are still praying. If John the Baptist had said, I am doing the baptism of water but Jesus will do that of the Holy Spirit, we would have inferred that their are two baptism will must go through. But he didn't say that. He said, I baptize WITH water but Jesus will baptize WITH the Holy Spirit. Why is this English difficult to grasp.

Apostle Paul was a very religious person and well read. Do you think he didn't read the account of Mark which says he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. But he said God did not send him to do water baptism. In addition, he only baptized a few people before he realized this truth.

The account of Matthew 28:18-20 stands alone. The other gospel didn't mention it. It is possible that Matthew rephrased what Jesus said in the way he understood it and as such distorted the statement of Jesus.

Know that there were no tape recorder back then. They were only able to give account of what Jesus said as far as their memories could carry. That is why those who compiled the Bible had to include four witnesses.

And you can only establish a doctrine in the mouth of two of there witnesses. You can't establish a doctrine on one witness alone. So, what Matthew wrote concerning baptizing cannot be used to establish a doctrine.

Jesus himself said before he ascended that John is the one who baptized with water. But they will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. Jesus cannot therefore order his disciples to be baptizing with water when he does his with the Holy Spirit. Asking them to do water baptism is going backward and nullifying the prophecy of John the Baptist.

Yes I agreed that the baptism with the Holy Spirit is the same thing as receiving the Holy Spirit or being filled with the Holy Spirit. However, baptism with the Holy Spirit is not the same thing as water baptism.

You answered number 2 with Acts 1 vs 1-4 and I wholy agree that the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles on the day of pentecost. However, I asked for a place where a man baptised another man with the Holy spirit because all we see in the bible is prayer being made and the Holy Spirit descending on or filling the person that was prayed for.

This is not the same as water baptism where men baptised each other in the name of Jesus with water by immersion.

So I have to ask again:
1. Can you show a place in the bible where a man baptised another man with the Holy Ghost

Yes, Apostles of the early church baptized Christians with the Holy Spirit but didn't use the term baptize. When Peter and John laid hands on the new converts in Samaria, they got filled with the Holy Spirit. This is the baptism with the Holy Spirit;

Acts 8:14-17
14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

When Apostle Paul was in Ephesus, he laid hands on the believers and they got filled with the Holy Spirit. This is the baptism with the Holy Spirit;

It is true they also baptized them with water in the name of Jesus but they did it ignorantly. The baptism of Jesus is with the Holy Spirit and not water.

For your first question. The baptism of John of course was from God. But John himself said Jesus will do his baptism with the Holy Spirit. And this is my point. The Holy Spirit has come and everyone can be baptised with the Holy Spirit. We don't need to duplicate it. There is one baptism - Ephesians 4:5.
