Apostle Paul didn't discourage believers from speaking in tongues. He was only trying to put an order in church. And he was addressing the situation when you are talking to the congregation.

But he encourages speaking in tongues for personal edification;

He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church -:1st Corinthians 14:2.

He even boasted he speaks in tongues more than them all -: 1st Conrinthians 14:18

In the concluding part, he said;

Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. Let all things be done decently and in order - 1st Conrinthians 14:39-40.

There are several benefits of speaking in tongues. Speaking in tongues destroys the works of Satan. So, Satan is fighting hard for people to despise it.

I would have been long death before now if not for the gift of tongues. God gave me victory over assassin who were paid to kill me on several occasions.

Speaking in tongues makes spirit more sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. It makes you supernatural. Time will not permit me to list out more benefits.

5. BELIEVERS WHO ARE NOT WATCHING AND PRAYING : These are Believers whose Spiritual life is Dead. They have been overshadowed by the World. The things of GOD have become a burden to them. With all the Signs of the Endtimes, they are not moved. They believe they have time.

When they see one steadily preaching the Gospel of the Coming of JESUS Christ, they are annoyed in their spirits.

6. BELIEVERS/CHRISTIANS who Live the Christian life according to their own way:
They Live according to their feelings and ways and not the Way of GOD and HIS Word.

7. BELIEVERS/CHRISTIANS WHOSE LOVE HAS GROWN COLD: These ones claim to be Christians but in reality they have left GOD. Infact they don't even believe the things of GOD anymore. They may be going to church, but they don't depend or rely on GOD anymore.

8. BELIEVERS/ CHRISTIANS who Place GOD SECONDARY IN THEIR LIFE AND AFFAIRS:
These ones have Shifted the Place of GOD in their lives. Vanities, and Earthly accomplishments have taken the place of GOD in them. They can attend to Earthly things with all seriousness and Diligence but attend to the things of GOD anyhow. Late to Church, no personal time for GOD, etc

There are several reasons why some churches don't grow.

1. The Pastor was not called to start a church ministry.
2. He is not trained. The training I am talking about is not attendance of Bible School which is not wrong. You must serve under a ministry that is doing well. And in that process, you will understand certain things about how to run your ministry.
3. Message. The cattle will only graze where there is grass. There is a kind of message you preach that will draw people to want to hear more.
4. Structure. You must put structures in place. I am not talking about physical structures. I am referring to structures like soul winning, follow up and cell system.

I'm going to be as explicit as possible and I need professional legal counsel/inputs to the issue stated below. (Pardon all blunders biko)

My wife recently got fed up with her place of work and decided to tender her resignation letter. She happens to be in the teaching profession and we all know what goes on in the private teaching schools (Most anyways).

On Friday the 4th of March which was supposed to be her final day at the school, the school's HM instructed her phone to put her phone on her desk (HM's) on the pretense that it was an open day and didn't want her distracted. She did exactly that and the day went just fine, after which, she dropped all the school's materials/properties with her and left.
On getting home, she went through her phone and discovered that her WhatsApp messages and conversations had been deleted, text messages deleted, all her contacts deleted, and all chats on her phone read. As if that wasn't enough, a few of her contacts called her to tell her they received messages from the school asking what her relationship was with them? Imagine!!!

Moreover, I think it is also good I state the fact that she and the HM haven't been best of friends due to an event that happened sometimes back between both parties. But for her to pick up her phone and go through it, and not just that, but also deleting her chats and wiping off contacts, deleting photos that has to do with the school, that's to the extreme haba!!!

Is there any legal ground to pursue this case or is it me just being emotional hurt that my wife's privacy has been trampled upon and I need to act. What should be my next point of action?

You have the right to sue but the challenge is evidence. She could deny that she is not the one who deleted the messages and contacts. She was not caught red handed.
