Totilopussylick:The people will vote for end up oppressing us and making life bitter for us. But during campaign, they make wonderful promises. Our government is wicked. Nigeria is the headquarter of wickedness. We must come together as youths to decide our we want to be governed. Enough is enough for our wicked and heartless government. I wish Britain had continued to rule us. |
YourFavEvangeli:You agreed with me that the baptism with the Holy Spirit is the same thing as receiving the Holy Spirit or being filled with the Holy Spirit. So, why are you asking me to show you were people got baptized with the Holy Spirit. The first experience on the day of Pentecost was a baptism with the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:1-4. 1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. This is the first recorded experience. The term, 'they were all baptised with the Holy Spirit' was not used here but it is implied otherwise, you are saying that Jesus lied. And this experience was repeated in many more passages. So, please, let's not keep arguing on this. Go ahead with your water baptism. It won't destroy you and it won't add anything to you either. The only thing it does to the church is that it diverts attention away from the real baptism. So, many believers are not even eager to receive the Holy Spirit because we make it look optional while making water baptism compulsory. And the devil loves it. Only Holy Ghost filled church can put the devil where it belongs. |
The match is won and lost but we must know our errors so it doesn't repeat itself in future games. From my observation, these are the mistakes they made and the coach takes the bulk of the blame; 1. They didn't keep the ball on the ground. There were too many long passes which didn't yield fruit. 2. They allow the Tunisia defend to settle whenever we have the opportunity to attack. They kept passing the ball front and back. When you play wing football, you have to move the ball to the opponent goal area as quickly as possible. A little waste of time permits the defense to settle and frustrate the wingers. 3. There was no close marking. They allowed the Tunisia free space. 4. There was no massive defense. In a competitive game such as this, at least seven players should fall back to the defense whenever we come under attack. 5. Slow decision by the coach in making changes. 6. Removing Iheanacho was a bad choice. He is the only experience striker we have. He can convert even half chance to goal. 7. Our players lack shooting skill. What are they doing during their training period. Ndidi was a big disappoinment. He shot off targets twice when he had clear space. |
YourFavEvangeli:Let's analyze this issue of baptism from the genesis of it. It all started with John the cousin of Jesus hence he is called John the Baptist. Hear how he introduced the subject of water baptism. We will look at it from the four books of the gospel. Let's start with the gospel of Matthew. He said in Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire. Pay attention to his language. First he said I indeed meaning he didn't institute it as something that must be done by everyone. Second, he said he is doing it with water. That means, It can be done with any other means. If he had said, he is baptizing OF water, we will infer that there is the baptism of water. But he said, he is baptizing WITH water. He now went further to say that Jesus will do his baptism WITH the Holy Spirit. So the keyword is baptism which must be carried out but the means with which it is done is different. The water John the Baptist used was a symbol of the Holy Spirit which was yet to be given at that time. To baptize means to immerse or to be whelmed. So, he told his audience that in the same way I immerse you in water, Jesus will immerse you or whelm you with the Holy Spirit. Baptism is not supposed to be duplicated like the church is doing it. The scripture says there is one baptism - Ephesians 4:5. They make the statement of John the Baptist to sound like there is baptism of water and there is baptism of the Holy Spirit. John the Baptist didn't say baptism of water. He said, baptism with water. And there is a marked difference between both. The evidence of the Gospel of Mark says the same thing. And it reads; Mark 1:8 I indeed have baptized you WITH water: but he shall baptize you WITH the Holy Ghost. The Gospel of Luke says the same thing; Luke 3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you WITH water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you WITH the Holy Ghost and with fire: The Gospel of John made unveils one of the reasons he baptized with water. He said; John 1:31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water. So, he carried out the water baptism so Jesus will be unveiled to Israel. It was not intended to be an everlasting sacrament. It was for a season. He continued; John 1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. There is no ambiguity in the statement made by John the Baptist. He said, I do my baptism with water but Jesus will do his with the Holy Spirit. Even our Lord Jesus said the same thing; Acts 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. So, when Jesus said in Mark 16:16; "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." He couldn't have been referring to water. If he meant water, then John the Baptist lied. Jesus has to fulfill prophecy. He is to do his baptism with the Holy Spirit. And that is what he uses to baptize us today. Why then did the early church baptize with water? It was ignorance. They didn't have any book to make reference to like we do today. It was many years later that Apostle realized that God didn't send him to baptize with water. He only baptized a few people. Apostle Paul came from a very religious background. If water baptism was very necessary,he would have insisted it must be done by all who profess Jesus Christ. And it would have form part of the content of the letters he wrote to the Churches. But, it was not mentioned once. The Apostles did both baptism during the days of the early church but like I said, they were still learning. But many years later, Apostle Paul knew better. I do hope my explanation makes more sense. If you want to go on with your water baptism, continue but don't condemn those who don't for they have been sanctified by the Holy Spirit - Romans 15:16. The Holy Spirit is the stamp of ownership or approval of God on us. Hence, Paul wrote; Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Another passage reads; 2 Conrinthians 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. Hard lesson. She should have gotten married first in court before doing it. No boyfriend or girlfriend can he trusted in relationship. But if you were both married and he wants a divorce, you can sue him and make claims. |
teejayreal:You are not far from the truth. This Fulani led government has the agenda of fulanizing Nigeria as their top most priority. But many Nigerians still don't believe. |
is there any celebrated striker in the histrory of football who never missed a penalty? Just asking. |
YourFavEvangeli:i never said that the early disciples never got baptized with water but they did it ignorantly. This is why Apostle Paul said; 1Corinthians 1:14-17 14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; 15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. 16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. 17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. If Jesus meant water baptism when he said he that believes and is baptized shall be saved, why did Paul said that Christ did not send him to baptize? Does it mean Apostle Paul who was one of the best lawyers of his days never read such instructions? Or are you saying he did not hear Jesus well? He only baptized two persons and a family in over 15 years of ministry. This proves that emphases have shifted from water baptism to Holy Ghost baptism. Receiving the Holy Ghost and Holy Ghost baptism is the same thing. Please update and upgrade. We are in the days of ministry of the Spirit. |
YourFavEvangeli:When the Apostles heard that Samaria had received the gospel, what did they do? Acts 8:14-14 14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: 15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost. Notice the passage above. It said they went there and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit which is the baptism with the Holy Spirit. They did not go there to immerse them in water. They went there to get them baptized with the Holy Spirit. Apostle Paul did the same things in Acts 19; Acts 19:1-2 1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, 2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. Notice the question he asked them. He did not ask them if they have been baptized with water since they believed. He knew what they needed was the baptism with the Holy Spirit. When they acknowledged their ignorance on the subject, he want ahead and laid hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit. In is letter to the Ephesian church, he wrote; Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, He said that after they believed, they were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. They were not sealed with water baptism. Even after the encounter Paul had with Jesus, Ananias was sent to him saying; Acts 9:17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. You see the consistency in the three examples I gave. This is why Paul said he only baptized a few people at the beginning when he was ignorant of the subject. Today, the church is still ignorant of this subject. This is why we are not making the required impact. Immersing someone in water does not change anyone or add value to you. But the Holy Ghost baptism empowers you to be a living witness of Christ - Acts 1:8. if after this revelation, if you like keep defending your watering religion. Christ is coming back soon. The church needs to get members filled with the Holy Spirit so we can harvest souls into the kingdom of God faster than Satan is snacthing them into hell. |
YourFavEvangeli:You are backward and carnally minded. I pray that the Lord will open your eyes to grasp the truth of God's word on this subject. |
No one has the moral right to kill anyone. Vengeance is the exclusive right of God. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:17-21) |
if the victim was a Fulani man, they will apprehend the perpetrators within 24 hrs. and someone still doesn't believe in the Fulanization agenda. Our Christian soldiers should speak out against this gross injustice. If they are afraid of dying for speaking out, they will still die anyway. It is better to die a hero than to live like a coward. |
YourFavEvangeli:Ephesians 4:5 says there is one baptism. But the church has duplicated it. John baptized with water apologetically. He knew that a perfect way was in view hence he said that Jesus will do his with the Holy Spirit. |

YourFavEvangeli:You seem to be dull in understanding. The Apostle are men like you and me still growing in knowledge. Even after over 2,000 years, we are still trying to understand some things written by Paul. When Jesus said he that belives and is baptized shall be saved, did he mention water? John did his baptism with water, Jesus does his with the Holy Spirit. There is ONE BAPTISM. And the Holy Spirit baptism is what seals your salvation, not water. Hence Paul wrote; "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise." (Ephesians 1:13) |
Don't put your heart in Nigeria game so it won't break. If we get a draw, to me it's a good game because we don't have a team yet. If it was the days of J J Okocha and Yekini, I will be bold enough to make a prediction. But in this game, just watch and hope for luck. |
See waste of resources. The money they would have used for development was used for a sponsored protest. I weep for these jobless people. And the highest they will get is 1,500 naira while the initiators of this project will make millions of naira from it. |
Very soon, he will be looking for loans to borrow to run the state. Does he know how much loss they will incur with this decision? And how will the student cover their academic syllabus when even with the five days a week study, it is difficult to cover. These people are backward sha. |
ProudBornoBoy:This is not a praise report. Are they supposed to be waiting for the terrorist to attack first? They are supposed to be on the offensive and not on the defensive. If care is not taken, they will one day attack Aso Rock and seize power from the government. |
Mylordmygod1:Keep the baby. Abortion is cold-blood murder against a defenseless child. Besides, you don't know what that child will be in future. Nothing will happen to the child. The child will not be deformed. I have seen similar cases of attempted abortion that blood flowed but the child was delivered without any form of deformity. |
YourFavEvangeli:Good question. They were still growing in knowledge. It was Apostle Paul who later grasped the understanding of the doctrine of baptism. He said; There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, ONE BAPTISM, (Ephesians 4:4-5). After over 17 years of ministry, he said he said he only baptized a few people among thousands of converts he had probably won. He even said Christ did not send him to baptize. Read that narration below; 1Corinthians 1:14-17 14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; 15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. 16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. 17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. Our Lord Jesus cannot give the instruction to church to baptize with water and give a contrary instruction to Apostle Paul who wrote about half of the books in the New Testament. There is one baptism. It was done with water during the ministry of John the Baptist but now it is been done by a more perfect means, the Holy Spirit. John prophesied about it; I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: (Matthew 3:11) John in the passage above said he does his baptism with water but Jesus will do his with the Holy Spirit. Even our Lord Jesus said the same thing to his disciples before his ascension; For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. (Acts 1:5) . He said John baptized with water but his disciples will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. So, the church is not supposed to duplicate baptism. There is one baptism and it is now the baptism with the Holy Spirit. |
YourFavEvangeli:When Jesus said, “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” (Mark 16:16). He was not talking about water baptism. The church erroneously took for granted that he was talking about water baptism. Jesus was not talking about water baptism here. He was talking about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This was what John the Baptist prophesied; “And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.” (John 1:33) If John said Jesus will do his own baptism with the Holy Spirit, why would Jesus make reference to water baptism in Mark 16:16? John knew his means of baptism was imperfect and just symbolic of the real one that will be ushered in by the ministry of Jesus. |
NNTR:I pray that the Lord will one day open the eyes of your understanding on this subject in Jesus name. Amen. I will not argue with someone who is not ready to learn. |
mfm04622:It's unfortunate you have ears but you cant hear. You have eyes but you cant see. Are the forest the Fulani currently occupying part of the grazing reserves? There are over 1,000 cells of Fulanis in our forest. What are they doing there? Helicopters have been seen supplying them weapons. What do you think the weapons are for? You want to be taken by surprise. Even if it happens, I will not be a victim because I see things ahead. Just the way I saw the Okar coup that was foiled two weeks before it happened, I see things concerning Nigeria. If you like don't believe me. When it happens you will believe. |
YourFavEvangeli:Water baptism has nothing to do with our salvation. And you are only qualified to receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit after you are saved. When Jesus said unless one is born of water and of the spirit, he cannot be born again, he was not talking about water baptism. The water there represents the word of God. As you hear the gospel, the Holy Spirit convicts the sinner and he is responds by accepting Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. According to Peter, he wrote; Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, BY THE WORD OF GOD, which liveth and abideth for ever. (1 Peter 1:23 ) And Paul likens the word to water in Ephersians 5:26; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the WASHING OF WATER BY THE WORD, (Ephesians 5:26 KJV) |
chatinent:The answer is in Romans 10:9-10 which reads; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10) it takes two steps. First believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and that God raised him on the third day to justify you. The second step is to say it with your mouth. So, if you want to be born again, just say this prayer and mean it with your heart; Dear Lord Jesus, I believe you died for me and I believe that God raised you from the dead to justify me. I hereby confess you as my Lord and Personal Saviour from this day hence. Thank you for washing my sins away. I believe I am saved according to your word. Heavenly Father, I am your son from this day henceforth in Jesus name. |
The man is demonized. Castrating oneself is not the ticket to heaven. Only the blood of Jesus can wash your sins away. What he needs is Jesus. Salvation is not by works of righteousness. |
mfm04622:They want to claim Nigeria as their own. And they believe it's the right time for it. That is why they are in virtually every forest in Nigeria waiting for the time to launch an attack in unison. They came to the north many years ago led by Utman Dan Fodio and conquered the Hausas. They believe they can conquer entire Nigeria now. This is why the man in Aso Rock is insisting on a grazing route. It is through that way they can enter every community and launch their attack. And they must do it before the tenure is over. So, there might not be 2023 election unless God intervenes. |
mfm04622:To Kill you and those who are not watchful. Who is stopping them from the killings going on in Southern Kaduna and other parts of the north? Just as it started there, it will start down south very soon and it is scheduled to happen when you least expect it. And no one will arrest them. The government will only condemn the killings and pretend to be fighting them. |
mfm04622:You asked a baseless question. You want to know from my mouth who killed Dele Giwa. If you are one of target, let's pray together to stop their evil plans. But you are one of them, your agenda will not stand in the mighty name of Jesus. |
Even when Naira to Dollar exchange for 1,000 naira to a dollar, he will still say the same thing. He is mocking Nigerians. I don't blame him. This is wickedness at his peak. Celebrating mediocrity. |
