Why don't you worry about that while I worry about my beauty? grin

I was only trying to encourage you to see your life/existence beyond the superficial appearance of your body. But like they say, "you can only take a horse to a river, you cannot force it to drink from it". Have a good day.

Is your beauty all you are concerned about? How about your intellectual capability (this is obviously a more valuable quality)?

While I don't want to dismiss your story outright, I do think however that there are some exaggerations in your claims about your telepathic abilities. Perhaps you might be able to "sense" what someone may be feeling sometimes, but it's quite hard for me to believe that you can make your way into a person's dream and do as you will.
But if all you said is true, I'm more than interested in learning such truth.

The right intentions are very straight forward..

Church is a place where you seek the face of the almighty.
A place for worship and prayers..
You can't have the mentality of showcasing whatever that you've got other than your heart and the entirety of your whole being..
Capisce!!

Alright, well said. How was church today then? Hope you went with the intention of worshipping and praying?

I haven't made any. I just asked a question:

Pls can u help us with d identity of d individuals who attacked & killed some protesters in Benin city on d 15th of October, 2020?

You seem to be trying to make a point with the question. Or why would you think I might have the identity of any such individual?
If you have a point to raise, come out straight and let's discuss it. We may both learn a thing or two through such discussion.

To become a fervent Christian believer, all you need is to suspend the use of your brain. Because the moment you start using your brain there is no way you will believe any of the mythological nonsense written in the bible.

How can a functional brain reconcile with the fact that a supposedly all-knowing god put a tree with a fruit that wasn't supposed to be eaten in the same garden as the creatures who were not supposed to eat it and then turns around to blame them for eating it even though he is all-knowing?

How can a functional brain reconcile with the fact that the same god didn't just forgive the creatures after they ate the forbidden fruit since he is all powerful but instead devices an elaborate plan to impregnate a woman with himself thereby cuckolding another man and then sacrificing that himself to himself in order to forgive his creatures who he has been creating since the first guys ate the fruit knowing fully well they will all fall into sin?

How can a functional brain come to grips with the fact that the supposedly all knowing and all powerful god didn't decide to wire the truth into our brains so we know the truth about him like we know to drink water and eat food but instead he decided to leave humans at the mercy of religious influences of our parents and environment such that a person is likely to believe in the same gods believed by people around him and defend that god vehemently? He couldn't even appear to everyone everywhere and teach them the truth about him at once instead he chose some illiterate goat herders in a Middle Eastern desert to teach his ways and then waited for thousands of years for some conquering Romans to adopt the religion, adulterate it with their own beliefs and sometimes spread it by the edge of the sword burning books and killing people that disagreed with them.

How can a functional brain believe in a god who can't even tell a straight story? With so many contradictions in the same story told in different places in the bible even though the same god inspired the different writers yet they couldn't get basic facts like counts and sequence of events accurately. Even the resurrection of Jesus, the foundation on which Christianity is built, has contradictory claims in the bible. That aside, neither modern historians nor the contemporaries of those stories can corroborate any of the tall tales in there.

**Sigh** Bottom line is you can't be a Christian and use your brain simultaneously. One has to be shut off for the other.
You have aptly expressed some of the fundamental issues I also have with religion. Many stories in the Bible portray the so called God as a wicked, unreasonable being with limited power and intelligence, as opposed to the benevolent, omniscient and omnipotent being he is generally acclaimed to be. Religion seems to be nothing but human invention.
This is why I'm now trying to seek the truth about life and existence elsewhere: Is there any meaning to life? Is there a God? Is there life after death? How did an infinite universe come about?
I would be glad if you could help me answer such questions logically and satisfactorily.

This is the right time for the army to swing into action to kill as much as they can kill .
The army should be deployed to streets I believe that's the best way to chase these hoodlums out of Edo.
This can only solve the problem temporarily. When the army is off the street, the boys will continue their nefarious operations

Where are the protesters when you need them? Some of them are the robbers and criminals terrorising the people of Edo state. I remember how many of this forum were rooting for them as they destroy security formation and released hardened criminals.
The ENDSARS protest will ultimately create more problems than it was intended to solve. Many criminals now on rampage and our police officers (the good ones among them) feel discouraged as a result of how they were treated. There is clearly a big fire on the mountain.

I am 38yrs now. I stopped because it didn’t make sense anymore. Over the years I have realized my values and ethics were not shaped, maintained or enforced because I was religious. It was just common sense and my conscience at work. Most importantly I hate hypocrites and selective adherents that makeup churches. Oh, I can’t date you without you giving me toto, but you must submit because the Bible says so. Are you maddd?? angry
Wow! That's a really long time ago.

But I think religion plays a role in shaping and maintaining people's values and ethics. For instance, the abstinence of some people from fornication, alcoholism and the like is influenced by religion and not "common sense". Commonsensically, I wouldn't see anything wrong in fornication personally; it's just two people enjoying themselves.
Without religion, I believe there will be a serious and worrisome moral decadence in the society.

There is no God.
There is no life after death.
Do what is good according to your conscience.
Do what gives you a good name, high self esteem and makes you proud of yourself, fulfilled and happy.
The day you die,you go into oblivion..Unaware of anything, same way you were before you were conceived and born..Even while in your mother's womb.
If you believe there is no God, how then will you explain the undeniable existence of everything around us - the existence of a universe that is, to the best of our understanding, infinite!

Depends on what you consider a sin. The last time I willingly set foot in a church, I was 19. That should tell you how long ago it was.
You need to state your current age for this info to really make sense. But more importantly, what made you stop going to church willingly?

Congratulations Sir.

I stopped attending church 3 years ago.
I'm glad I did.

I am a moralist and that is how I will bring up my kids.
As a "moralist", what will you teach your kids about God and life after death?

Not attending church is not a sin...

Attending with the wrong intension is the greatest sin...

Wrong intension as in: Flaunting that designers bags and shoes and clothes..

Flaunting your latest purchased vehicle..

Flaunting your aboki arse and boobies..

What should the "right intention" be for going to church?
