ostechno:Very well said! |
twizz4u:The truth really is that for every single dropout who is legally successful in Nigeria, there would be at least a hundred graduates who are successful! |
Being the most powerful doesn't make him the most intelligent! (That reminds me of the most powerful person in a certain African country who obviously lacks intelligence). Whatever Trump says unofficially does not deserve any serious consideration. Trump should be reminded that even nature itself (the direct work of God) lacks justice and fairness: lions eat goats; some countries are more prone to natural disasters than others; some children are born in more favorable conditions than others etc. "The grace of God" (whatever that means) is certainly not what will bring about "justice". |
If makeup could be made permanent, it would be very nice. I really pity most women for the trouble and stress they go through on a daily basis to make themselves look temporarily beautiful through makeup. But my greatest pity is for the shortsighted men that fall for counterfeit beauty that makeup produces! |
Aileexa1:Love, like most other emotional feelings (anger, joy, hatred etc), is not something you consciously decide to exhibit. It is a result of certain thoughts and perceptions that your mind processes subconsciously. That's why when you truly love someone, you may not be able to explain exactly why you so love the person. You should also note that love is always based on something (looks, financial status, compatibility, admirable achievement etc) whether the person "in love" realizes it or not. |
Olunmercy56:You ought to have used "shouldn't" instead of "can't"! But then, what does it really mean to be/fall in love with someone? |
Okay |
Because Christmas is not really a religious practice, but an occasion for merry-making, traveling and spending time with family and friends. |
Righteousness2:That's a pastor that has understanding of how to deceive and scam gullible sheeple |
cassbeat:Taking no action may lead to higher death rate. However, lockdown is not the solution; what we need is an effective vaccine. Without a good vaccine, everyone will eventually contract covid-19 sooner or later, lockdown or no lockdown. |
Every sensible person knows these... tell us something really intelligent. |
Being a lawyer and being an artiste (singer/composer) are quite different! He certainly isn't a good artiste (assuming he is) because he studied law. |
Nancy1986:No, I don't rotate and neither does the earth! |
AdaugoChisom:I believe he's well aware of the goings-on in the country. Unfortunately, Buhari seems to me to be intellectually incapable of solving the multifaceted problems we face in Nigeria. |
RuMiRgO1stSon:This "theory" makes a lot of sense and it's probably the truth (as opposed to some religious nonsense about creation). But it interests me to understand further what gave rise to this "vast cloud of dust and gas", what made it to collapse, what made the resulting giant disk to rotate faster and faster, and exactly how the solar system formed consequently. Thanks |
Ladyhippolyta88:I don't know about that. What I observe is that one of the girls looks apparently older than the other two. Look at their pictures closely, you'll see what I'm talking about. |
It's actually two identical twins and their sister! |
paulolee:Really, I thought it's the sun that moves around the earth; it rises in the east, moves across the sky then sets in the west. If the earth is really rotating, we should feel or sense it somehow! |
It's because we are Godly and prayerful. |
The only problem is it's difficult these days to find a partner that will meet ALL of these conditions simultaneously. |
This should be fun |
Click like if you think this is good (and would let your 6-year-old child do it). Share if you think otherwise. I personally have mixed feelings about it. |
You don't need to be a billionaire to live a good life! |
CalliDora1:I'm just telling you the facts of the matter that both you and the proprietress are ignorant of. The proprietress could only have made that ridiculous agreement with you out of ignorance. If you're not greedy and selfish, you shouldn't have any problem sharing 50% of the money with her (provided she is not owing you any salary). THE GRANT IS MEANT TO ASSIST HER IN PAYING YOUR SALARY. IT IS NOT AN EXTRA SALARY! |
NoToPile:The problem is that the HM/proprietress didn't (and perhaps, still doesn't) understand the essence of the grant when she agreed to be collecting 5K from the OP monthly. The grant is meant to ASSIST business owners in the payment of salaries of their staff. In other words, when FG pays the staff (on the proprietress' behalf), she doesn't have to pay salary again (unless she generously CHOOSES to do so according to her discretion). The OP wants to be collecting both FG grant and salary together (this is contrary to the idea behind the grant). If the proprietress understood the purpose of the grant, she would have allowed each teacher have all the grant sent to them (even if it's more than their normal salary), and also stopped paying their salary (since FG has done that for her). |
CalliDora1 I see the whole picture now. If the HM you're talking about is the proprietress of the school, then all the money FG has sent you is actually her money. The idea of the grant is to assist business owners in paying salaries because of the harsh effect covid-19 has (and is having) on many businesses, so that workers do not suffer as a consequence. If she pays you your salary in addition to the money you receive from FG, then she is giving away the benefit meant for her. You're lucky that your boss is ignorant of this fact. She must have realized later that the 5K she agreed to collect out of the 30K is ridiculously small, which is why she's now insisting on collecting 50% of the money. My advice for you: First understand the fact that ALL the money in question is indirectly her money(NOT YOURS). That is to say, she is not meant to pay you any salary again as long as FG pays you ON HER BEHALF (you should thank your goodness for her ignorance!). It will only be a FAVOUR and not a RIGHT if she pays you part of your salary after you've been paid by FG. So pay her the 50% she is demanding(this is fair enough); don't allow greed and selfishness to rule your heart (you seem like a good person to me). Just try to put yourself in her shoes and my message will make some sense to you. |
CalliDora1 Please note: The grant from the FG is actually meant to assist the OWNERS of businesses and not the WORKERS . This is done by helping proprietors (in the case of schools) pay salaries of their staff for a number of months. In other words, when FG sends you money, you are not entitled to a second salary (unless the amount you're sent is less than your salary, in which case you will collect just the balance). The proprietor should have made you understand this before hand. My questions: *It seems the person you are having issue with is the HM and not the proprietor. If that's the case, then is the proprietor aware of what's going on regarding the grant? *Was anyone else present when you and the HM made the agreement on 5K? Also were you and the HM aware of the amount FG would be paying monthly as at the time you reached the 5K agreement? If you weren't aware of the actual amount that would be paid by FG, then it doesn't make sense that you guys agreed on a particular amount. Agreeing on a sharing ratio/percentage would have made more sense! |
I wonder what the world would be like a few decades from now. Though science and technology keep affording us comfort, satisfaction and convenience physically (thereby giving an illusion that the world is getting better), but psychologically ( which is the real deal ) things are getting worse for many people! |
I suppose you can transfer the money first to a third-party(a trusted friend for instance) who will then help you send it to the appropriate recipients. Meanwhile, I will be very grateful if you can kindly assist me too and put a smile on my face. Please quote me sir if you want me to forward my digits. Thanks and Merry Xmas. |
Ishilove:I used to think so too until I found myself in a deep financial shhit, then I understand that desperate need can sometimes make begging/borrowing one's best option of surviving (I pray you don't find yourself in such circumstance). I'm sure no one really likes begging.. |
Personally, I'm not so interested in wealth and other vanities of life. But I think I may need to work a little harder to be rich for the sake of my children.. nothing is special about these kids apart from their father's wealth.. life is really mysterious. |
AirmirthDY:No it's not. It takes a combination of talent, hardwork, determination, courage and favourable circumstances. |
