2.DNA is not a magic bullet. If the DNA is not on the database, it's going to take a longer time to find the killer. And DNA being there does not mean the person commited the crime

Eg...a woman was found dead and strangled in her home in the US. DNA in her privates was linked to a potential suspect. The suspect admitted he had had relations with the woman on the day she died, but denied killing her. As it turned out, the man was telling the truth...the killer entered the house some few hours after he left.

3.At the end of the day, if someone does not talk, crimes are not solved. In the US, some crimes only get solved when someone speaks out ten years later...

4.The perp may not even be from the country self.

5.DNA is not all you need...you still need witnesses, other evidence, etc. And even CCTV cameras.

6.All that costs money. Sane countries can afford state of the art forensics lab, digital records, and even CCTV cameras everywhere...because they pay high taxes...and are industrial countries. Try it in Nigeria...where our tax intake is low, and we all want to pose with Iphone 50X...

For regular guys, marry a social media addicted girl at your own risk. All the unhealthy feedback loop between making posts, viewing comments, viewing posts, and so on is utterly distractive and destructive to the psyche. You can't help or rescue anyone damaged by this modern day plague.
