Unless the lady is a virgin, agree at your own risk |
You folks are selfish. I believe it's also fair for parents not to also invest in their kids or send them to school etc. as the money they used in doing that can be used to invest in their own future. |
Tjra:This ethic bigotry y'all are cooking, when it's done just like bokoharam, you will be exasperated at the consuming fire. Keep it up. |
FreeIgboho:It's obvious you don't even understand the whole subsidy thing. Just like any APC fan will comment before comprehension. |
Good2go1:I doubt he understood what removing subsidy meant. |
Starzdavid247:And nairaland dealers will overwhelm you. Instead of looking for a vehicle, look for a trusted moniker that can help you source for a vehicle. Have a great day |
Starzdavid247:And the foreign used, will the owner tell you the issues it had before sales? Y'all think anything foreign used means heaven..... I pity you. Some Nigerian used gives better peace of mind than foreign. |
Fake prophets everywhere. Had issues some years back in my work place and was praying against the eventuality. My mumcee been so cynical and spiritual took me to this so called man of God. Baba say make I bring money e go do something, he also said marriage is my surest way to quick success. Note I was on adminstrative leave without a Kobo to my name etc...i was also 26. I gave myself brain and told the man marriage is not the solution but investment should incase I loose my job. Man realized I'm not one of the many idiots and he gave my mum excuse in why I shouldn't come again. Well, without going to any church or so, I invested in some businesses while I hope for the best but then expect the worst. My business really skyrocketed and I was called back after I was found not wanting on the allegations. Told my mum Na so the baba for chop your 150k and force me Into marriage I'm not mentally ready for. Pray on your own..... Jesus death in the cross was the pointer to direct access to God, you need no prophet or medium to get to him. Also you need no pastor. Tithing etc was cancelled by Jesus death. |

ZDX used to be my dream ride, I know better now. |
Refinedbeing:Your excuse to this is no past leader had ever been better than the other...... I suppose it works for you as long as you get your crumbs huh? Modify your moniker champ, the moniker deserves better. |
Refinedbeing:Bring back Buhari and take Tinubu. People are dying, youths are going into crime. Maybe until the country becomes a state of anarchy before the president realize things are bad. Buhari was a failure but I believe Nigerians will prefer failure Buhari to your so-called messiah Tinubu. |
RichBoy247:Judas for speaking the truth? I plied that road last week, I hated my guts afterwards. Y'all are really the enemy of the government. Suffering in silence and acting tough in the open. |
helinues:Just when I thought I could read some credible comments, guess who commented. We're talking of curbing ethnic bigotry and this one is fanning the flames. |
OSUNADC:It's so worse that when I open my WhatsApp I get billed almost on a daily basis. Most phone calls I think twice before receiving. The current reality on ground is folks are way poorer than they used too, and they still work if not twice harder. |
AutoLanders, I'm thinking of getting a car for my mum, I created a thread around may about it, but I decided to buy my time and get a direct Belgium vehicle. I'm looking at a 2010-2013 Rav4 directly from the US or Canada. Any dealer with a track record of importing without any major issue can quote me the cost a step at a time. |
pocohantas:From a me who have little or no relationship with my biological dad, I can answer this from a perspective. 1. Emotional Conditioning "Boys don’t cry" culture teaches boys to suppress emotions. Fathers raised with this mindset may also avoid emotional conversations, continuing the cycle. So both father and son end up emotionally guarded — close in space, distant in heart. 2. High Expectations Many fathers project their dreams or unfulfilled goals onto their sons. When the son doesn't measure up or chooses a different path, tension and disappointment may arise. This can make the boy feel like he’s always under pressure, never good enough. Funnily I found myself in the same profession as my biological Dad. 3. In traditional settings, fathers are seen as strict disciplinarians, not emotional caregivers. Sons may associate their fathers with rules, punishment, and criticism, not warmth. 4. Many fathers believe that showing love or softness makes their son "weak." Instead of bonding through vulnerability, they teach toughness — which often alienates the child. 5. Some dads spend more time working or are physically absent, which creates emotional gaps. When they’re home, they may be tired or mentally unavailable. 6. In our culture as Africans, respect equals distance. Sons are taught to fear or revere, not relate to, their fathers. And mothers are exact opposite of all this. |
Blazinraj01:Okay, thanks for your time. |
So she's saying she can't give her life for a life... Lol. Something ordinary snake does every other day. |
pocohantas:The funny thing is most male child see Dad as first hero/role model and often than none, they follow in his footsteps. In sense, this father been undervalued won't stop happening as the next many generation fathers will still be emotionally absent as they will believe it's just their duty to work and provide. Kudos to the pampers changing and ball throwing men out there though. Hopefully God spares my life for the Kenya trip. |
pocohantas:My dream vacation was Selous in tanzania, I already striked it off my bucket list, yankari also. Next on the list is Tsavo and Masai Mara both in Kenya. Hopefully next year as I learnt the best time to visit Kenya reserves is late June to early October, and this year is gone already. Funny what you said about alcohol for fathers.... I believe the major reason father's will be undervalued is we male gender mis-interpret provision for love. The most common way a man potray love for his family is a good shelter, clothing and other needs. I'm not married though, but most men who takes part in kids day to day living like the small talks (not the macho kind of), little family get together etc makes the difference. Most men rarely does all this. Hence, the kids feel distant whereas the mother somewhere maybe not even providing as much is their emotionally, mentally and every other Ly. Father feels like a stranger and mum becomes the bridge over time. I hope this makes sense though. |
Blazinraj01:Hello, please do you have up to date information on yankari new price list? I'm looking at December. |
pocohantas:Found out he loves wildlife, is childhood dream was holidays in Serengeti. I settled for yankari with him for a start. That was some two years ago though. |
Tinubu hands of gold don touch that one too.... What a genius of a man |
I once posted here some years back when I wanted doing something good for my Dad. I asked mum what daddy likes, mum couldn't even name something precise. I asked his friends and sisters, none could name anything and when I asked my Dad, he said Ahhhh No one cares about that jare ma worry. I understood the level of weight he carries, unloved, uncared for except with food and very underappreciated. This is a man who sent 8 kids to private university. Both biological, relations and many others. This is a man people will come to for help when they need urgent school fees or so... And no one knew what he loves, not even his wife. (Meanwhile, he's my foster Dad.) |
Softmirror:Typical of you to comment with understanding or reading. |
A group of cats is called a clowder or glaring (depends on context) Also kindle for a group of kittens. |
jaszplus12:95 percent Nigerians are victims of abuse, they just won't admit it. |
I don't agree with all the above points though. Regardless, love your neighbour as yourself. |
jaszplus12:You said it all. Most of the things we call training here is low-key abuse. Screaming, body shaming etc. such child won't even function well in the society. I had a friend who suffered so much abuse that will always kneel down even while talking to her mother on phone. Y'all call that training. |
