Igbos are the only ones who have been disadvantaged by a major war in Nigeria. Second would be ethnic minorities in the Niger Delta as it concerns oil spillage on their lands. Third would be Northern Christians who have been butchered left, right and centre over 50 years.



While Onne Port is standard for export, some persons say not all goods are allowed via it. I don't have enough information about it, so I cannot say. At the same time, I stated earlier that the south east cannot have a seaport. It is not geographically possible.

Why not? The United States developed the Marshall Plan, which saw the western part of Europe receiving loans, investments and aid to rebuild the continent after two World Wars. South Korea got funding from the United States to rebuild itself, ditto for Japan and Taiwan. Singapore, too, got investment from the US. Igbos are literally the ones who got defeated after a war and received no help in rebuilding. Everything was done by sheer hard work, perseverance and determination.

So, if the Japanese could receive economic assistance from the Americans who bombed them twice, why not Igbos?

This type of analysis is to encourage destruction and ethnicities fighting. Which region has better infrastructure that is maintained by the centre of not by itself.

If this violence is encouraged, it won't subsidized in the nearest future but increase as there will be other reasons to support violent.

The issue here is disenfranchisement. It's not about you, your opinion doesn't matter. It's about the alienation that Igbo people feel in Nigeria, whether real or imagined. You solve that, by doing the things he talked about. Making everyone feel as though they are a part of the country.

The mere fact that his words agitate you, just gives more credence to them. You should be an advocate of such things as a "Nigerian".

Just like in the 90s, when Yoruba people felt alienated, what did everyone do? They came together and propped up Obasanjo, and Igbo people voted for him in mass. For the sake of making Yoruba feel like they were a part of the country.

Now it's time for reciprocation, and what do you do? You turn around and say, "it's imagined, go solve it yourself, we're not doing anything to you".

Very good. I am glad you asked this question, because I have been seeking an opportunity to answer it. You must have guessed, I am Igbo myself and I have done trading business in Nigeria. Yes, even the substandard goods you speak of.

But what you don't know is that I hated selling substandard goods. Of course, I will not deny that there are some merchants who will want to bring in cheap goods and sell at a high markup to make bigger gains. But, it is not an all-igbo affair. There are lots of other ethnicities I know that do import stuff. And everyone is trying to survive.

Back to what I was saying. I hated selling substandard goods with passion. I have seen products I loved, even for myself, but you just can't bring it in. Na who go buy?

I have gone through electronics, building materials, fashion businesses, etc. All of them the same story.

I saw bags of 30k back then(which is not even the full quality, mind you) that I wanted to sell. But I couldn't get anyone that was ready to afford them. I had to be stuck at pinching my margins with selling bags of 5k. Very laborious work, I tell you. You can't even add valued added services which, if you have ever done a business, you will know is a very rewarding way to endear you with a customer. I left that business out of frustration.

Instead of openly displaying your ignorance over the internet, you should ask the right questions.

Ask, why is it that Nigerians cannot afford basic things comfortably talkless of indulging in any leisure or luxury they fancy.

Then, you can blame the igbos.

Even your SON (STANDARDS ORGANIZATION OF NIGERIA) cannot stop counterfeit business because they understand the system. If they do, I tell you, even you and everyone in Nigeria will revolt because no one can access anything.

Help me ask this man if he has ever operated a Refinery before in his life,the last time any Refinery worked in Nigeria was close to 30 years ago and I am sure he was still a junior staff or possibly still applying to get a job in NNPCL
Someone that his organisation spent 12 trillion on repairing refineries and not one single barrel was refined is here schooling us about prices of refined crude oil,he better cover his face if he has any iota of shame left in him
I was fortunate to visit the NNPCL Depot in Emene,Enugu State some years back and I couldn't but weep for Nigeria
I was informed that the Depot has not received petroleum products for close to twenty five years and the place is now a shadow of itself but somehow they still receive salaries for doing nothing everyday
The people in NNPCL don't surprise me one bit,it will take them time to get used to the fact that free money has stopped flowing and they have to really work for their money
And lastly,all this talk is a preparing the ground so that when that scrap metal in Port Harcourt doesn't work in December,he will quote this statement he just made,that Refineries don't reduce fuel prices
