Complete writer? Centino is extraordinary! He mixes politics, sports, religion, metaphysics,psychology, mad humor, family saga, sex and more. The kind of combo you don't ever see, much less on a free forum. His story is twenty in one. Written in both Queens English and street pidgin. Just go and read. Number 225 Katakata Street. He gets my vote over and over again.

Been watching quietly since yesterday. My respect for you centino has reached new highs. The lady in the end acknowledged what a great work you have put up here and would encourage us to donate something to you. I always thought you were a class higher but reading your answer yesterday I now understand more. Some of us will pay to continue to enjoy dis as it is better than a lot of the published works out there. As you have given us this and continue to serve us afresh weekly for free, I say God bless you.

Yes I was. Just expired. It sure takes the wind out of your sails when you've been up all Saturday night to post early Sunday and you get banned and post deleted. Or miss church Easter day to post and same thing happens.

Evidently my style doesn't suit the site. They're within their rights to throw out who they don't want so I won't complain. But I went through my last post with a fine tooth comb and can't be sure what was wrong with it.

Will try updating again in a few hours. If deleted again then it's arrivederci Nairaland.

Just let's know where to find you if you leave. Surely the story must go on?

This is unbelievable. A teacher who walks 42km each day in order to go teach has been awarded with a standing fan in the Tolon District in the Northern Region of Ghana. It was reported that he received this prize during the 61st Independence Anniversary ceremony parade at the district.

The teacher, named Awudu Kombian has been serving as the only teacher for the Warvi D/A primary school for several academic periods.

He travels 42kms to school to prepare the pupils for lessons. As a headmaster, he performed other tasks and so the school was always closed down whenever he fell ill or traveled.

“It’s very challenging but as a professional you have to always do your best to see what you can do in the midst of the challenges. Every day I have to travel about 42kms to go and teach, because it’s a very deprived community, and places like that you don’t have accommodation so even if you are willing to even stay there, there is no accommodation for you”, he said.

The award was presented by the district director of education Reverend Georgina Anaaba Norga who asked the teacher to continue with the good work.
