Honestly,we still on topics such as these funny though when naija men come to foreign countries they prefer independent women who have their own car apartment and they work, but for naija you go dey your parents house til you marry shocked.

I feel the minute you are independent and can stand on your own give your parents some privacy nahhhhhh.move out start saving to try contribute for when you and future hubby put money together to buy/invest in properties, instead of always asking for money from your husband's to take care of your entire village.

Travel / Re: Before Departure To South Africa by tshepiso(f): 6:56pm On Sep 01, 2013
Hello,

I will go straight to the point.

Do a hotel reservation print it out, then when you get here (O.R TAMBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT,JOHANNESBURG SOUTH AFRICA) when the immigration officer ask you for hotel reservation present it and if they call the hotel, tell them before they call that you are paying on arrival as they only accept credit card and you don't have a credit card to pay before arrival.

Please when you get the reservation make sure to call the hotel and confirm your reservation and to tell them you will pay on arrival or better still call them to tell them you are coming so they know that they are expecting so even if the immigration calls they can also confirm that they are expecting you.

Call the hotel and familiarize yourself with the customer service people.try to know them by name.because they are the one who will also pick the calls when the immigration calls. if you need any other information let me know

Family / Re: Being Married To A Nigerian Is Hard Sometimes by tshepiso(f): 1:34pm On Jan 23, 2012
I guess i am one of the blessed ones out there because the mother in law i have is no different from the mother who gave birth to me

You should understand your husbands culture and try to be tolerant. Being married to a nigerian man is the best thing that ever happened to me.

Minority of women dont understand the concept of marriage you are marrying him and adopting his family.

Maybe your mother in law wanted you to ask her to teach you some nigerian dishes have you thought about that. She most probably did not want to intrude funny thing is if she stated cooking you would still have an issue and say she took over your house abi.

take advice from one woman to another visist her in nigeria let her teach you ask if you have to and you will fall in love with the woman that brought that man you love into your life.
Travel / Re: S'African Police Invade Nigerian Embassy Over Visa Refusal To South Africans by tshepiso(f): 10:08pm On Dec 06, 2011
Well, why would anyone believe Nigerian embassy requested for bribe, that is pure lies.if you are rejected of visa deal with it.i have seen scenario where many many people are denied visa.

Because its a Nigerian visa so South Africans should not be denied?

Have you heard about repatriation fee which is N110,000 that is required to be paid when obtaining visa to south Africa from Nigeria.so now Nigeria also applied the same protocol and all of a sudden its Bribe.

Please go and pay your R6000 so that your visa can be issued.

Thanks

Politics / Re: Goodluck Jonathan Says Mend Is Not Responsible For Abuja Attacks. by tshepiso(f): 11:58am On Oct 05, 2010
I strongly believe this is politics on the highest order and all this are plots to give our president Goodluck Jonathan a bad image. It even happen to South African president JACOB ZUMA.

The court date of a man held after deadly bombings in Nigeria has been postponed because of fears about his safety in custody, his lawyer said Monday.

Henry Okah is being held in a Johannesburg, South Africa, prison, but his lawyer, Rudi Krause, wants him separated from the general prison population for his safety, he said.

He is being charged under terrorism legislation, Krause said. Extradition has not been discussed, he added.

The prosecutor and police have applied for the hearing to be postponed to Tuesday morning, the lawyer said.

Okah is suspected of being an influential member of the group that took responsibility for the bombings that killed 12 people and injured 50 in Nigeria on Friday.

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, known as MEND, issued a statement Saturday saying it had given the Nigerian government advance warning.

The Nigerian Intelligence Service said Monday that nine people have been arrested and are being questioned in connection with the blasts Friday in the nation's capital, Abuja. Authorities are still seeking two men, identified as Chima Orlu and Ben Jessy, whom they accuse of being the "masterminds" of the plot.

But sources close to MEND told CNN that the two men are "not known to be MEND operatives or known to be active on the Niger Delta issue."

They also raised concerns about the nine other arrests, calling them an "attempt by the Nigerian government to be seen to act."

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed Andrew Azazi, his former chief of defense staff, to be the country's national security adviser in the wake of the bombings, Jonathan's office told CNN on Monday.

The attack came as the West African country celebrated 50 years of independence.

MEND blamed the government for the deaths.

"The irresponsible attitude of the government security forces is to blame for the loss of lives," the MEND statement said.

"The security forces were also warned one full hour to the first bomb blast ahead of the general alert sent to the media and told to steer the public from all parked cars which was not done," the statement continued.

Jonathan later called the action a terrorist attack that was designed to "disrupt" the anniversary, presidential spokesman Imo Niboro said. But he said it had nothing to do with Niger Delta issues or MEND.

MEND, which represents militants in the oil-rich Niger Delta, is an umbrella organization of several rebel groups. It has been battling the government for years over fairer distribution of the country's oil wealth.

MEND said Okah had been harassed by authorities in South Africa, where he lives, but denied his involvement.

"Okah has never been involved in any MEND operations but has always been blamed for every attack, which is strange to us," MEND's statement said.

Here in South Africa it is very difficult to get ingredients for the soups he would really like,so we make means with the ones we buy from Nigerian shops around here.therefore he enjoys egusi!

He is Middle Belt, not Yoruba nor is he Ebo

The crossriver that my husband is from is not the Calabar side that eat edikaikong and afang soups.they eat eyiha and groundnut soups

My relationship is genuine and not a fiction story you hear from someone who heard from someone else who was there!

But thanks anyway for the review of a Nollywood movie you watched!
Religion / Re: Popular Bible Quotations For Memorization And Meditation — Deuteronomy 31:8 by tshepiso(f): 11:48am On Sep 29, 2010
Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies.

He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Nevertheless let everyone of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
