Hmm...

When you tell people that removing subsidy is not an end in itself, they throw up blind arguments.

If as the government said that pms subsidies became unsustainable because of corrupt practices and rising costs, the commonsense thing to have done is check the corrupt practices and then address the issues that gave rise to the increasing costs.

How can you admit that people committed economic sabotage for years and then rather than get those people to pay for thier crimes against the masses, you leave the masses to thier fate because you are too cowardly to do the right thing?

Does bat think the economic saboteurs would just simply go away because he decided to run from them and instead suffer the masses? That cabal would simply evolve into another monster to continue to feed off the broken system, afterall, they are untouchable.

First address the factors that have made fuel subsidy unsustainable, then you can remove the subsidy. At that point, pms could come down to as low as N350- N400 per litre without subsidy, which is still bearable in our present economic state IF the N70k minimum wage is implemented across board.

Once pms crosses N400, reintroduce subsidies, at this point, government would be paying about N50-N75 subsidy. When prices drop, stop the subsidy.

To those saying smuggling because of high prices in other countries, I ask...

1. Why should Nigerians pay more for a product it has comparative advantage simply because the government is too incompetent to perform its duty of securing the nation's borders?

2. What stops fuel prices from going up in those countries as the price in Nigeria rises? So because fuel is N2000 in Cameroon, Nigerians must pay N2500 for something they can get at N500?

3. What happens when the much touted CNG is also adopted by neighbouring countries? So the prices would also rise due to smuggling?

Apc is just made up of senseless characters who are cunning and out for themselves only.
I agree completely with your position until you mentioned APC, the rot is caused by Nigerian elite and not by political party.

are u talking about the same Igbos who believe Buhari was cloned?
The same Igbos who believed trump will come n conduct referendum in Nigeria?
The same Igbos who believe killing security operatives will grant them Biafra?
The same Igbos who dare not come out of their own house on Monday for fear of a man in faraway Finland?

Now let me address your points one after d other

(1) Ritualism and occultism- na here we Dey where okija shrine was discovered, na here we see talk of Clifford orji n till today cannibalism is still practiced in Igbo land which was reported lately that ugm cooked egusi with human meat
Don't forget obi dare not step out aside in black attire n d like of Theodore orji who was caught swearing before he was made governor in one shrine

(2) when we talk about bad leadership,u Igbos should know u carry d league, majority of your leaders are criminals who are celebrated n will never b criticized

In Yoruba land u can see we don't practice hypocrisy, we criticize even our own but we know in alaigbo nobody dare talk bad of a rich man

Till today bishop ozubulu is still been celebrated in his village n to top it all 99.9% of Igbo youths outside d shores of Nigerians are languishing in jail

(3) uneducated celebrities so those u listed are the celebrities u know in Yoruba land?
That shows u have a very small brain n u only roll with low lives

So what will u call WizKid,davido, adekunle gold n d likes if u call those tic tok small boys celebrity?

U are too low in reasoning

(4) reference for criminals- everyone knows there are no criminals in Igbo land, just have money n they will worship u so u don't label anyone as criminals

If someone wipes out a whole village to make money n he eventually makes money then he instantly becomes a celebrity

The reason why Reno omokri made it clear that the Igbo culture that places money over everything is what makes Igbos the most jailed tribe in Nigeria

Ethiopia released list of Nigeria prisoners with them n they are all Igbos

Don't forget the Thai police described u Igbos in particular as the scum of d earth,he was so categorical n specific

Ask yourself y seun stopped us from checking names, it's simply to cover d shame of the Igbos when virtually like 5 criminal thread will b on front page with Igbos accounting for all d crimes

It's surprising that in this present age n time it is Igbos that still practiced the barbaric culture of the OSU caste system, it even graced front-page lately n u want us to believe u are d most educated

Since you're enlightened, why are you going back to an argument (obviously a lie) which I have already negated with facts?

You haven't presented any new data to show that there was any tribal correlation to the vote percentages. Igbos gave similar or even higher percentages to Obasanjo, Yar'Adua, GEJ etc.

You're presenting the very same data I have already countered.

How enlightened is that?
This is not Ochanja market and I didn't see any data you presented to support your argument.

A comparative analysis of regional voting pattern that quotes the figure of each candidate won in each region and states is expected for a critical analysis.

Anambra before PO came in was a dead state. PO made people realise that there was money in Anambra state. Am sure Soludo will be so disappointed in his people because they are so engrossed with quick result mentality. The traders mentality in manyof you will never make you reason objectively and sadly it's just the gullible that a trading phycology can deceive.

Politics is not an entitlement game. You win election through political participation and not based on tribe alignment.

On what ground will an APC member work for LP or PDP?

Demanding other region to vote for your when your regional politics does not align will always lead to disaster.

Your region laboured for PDP for 24years, and you are rightly entitled to demand the presidential ticket from that party, but your leaders chickened out and at the eve of the election your leading candidate left the party to join a mushroom party and you expect other Nigeria to follow and vote for him. What justification is that if not foolish entitlement right.

The SW and Tinubu you hate today has been in opposition since independence. They learned the curve of opposition right from millitary era and into the democracy. They stayed focus on their ideology and understands how the game is played, even when the military presented Diya as Abacha deputy and later Obasanjo as the president. They didn't abandon thier AD , AC, ACN and APC, Unlike your people with trading mentality that couldn't build a party, you killed PPA formed by OUK and destroyed APGA but wanted to be gifted APC ticket when you can't even contend in PDP.

Blame yourselves for your present predicament, and mind you, the SW waited much longer while you were enjoying the spoil with the North. Nigeria is not centred only around Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa, other tribes are equally entitled to be president, don't gaslight Nigerians to do your bidding you have to work for it.

Nigeria has been on a downward trend since independence, don't gaslight Nigeria into making it look like your choice were better. That's a small mind mentality to think you should be pitied and be gifted the president. It won't happen

Removing the subsidy doubled the revenue generation and monthly allocation for the government but simultaneous floating of naira reduced the value of naira to one quarter of its previous official value under Buhari. So, what is the right thing about that decision, let's forget about the wrong time you're talking about?
Get your facts there was no money to pay either subsidy and no money to defend the naira.

We had 90% of revenue going for debt servicing, 20billion naira way and mean wasted by Emefiele. Daily oil production reduced to 1.2mb/d. Million of naira siphon through anchor borrower scheme that ended in few pocket.

There was no way Nigeria could have avoided inflation and no magic to peg PMS at 300naira.

If tinubu had reduced prices of fuel to N100, the amount he would have spent on subsidy would have eaten our budget, and all the loans we took for the year.

Am sure you like GEJ. The reason why GEJ increased prices from N65 to 140 then cut to N97, was because quite simply, subsidy costs in 2011 were three times that in 2010. In other words the cost of subsidy had gone up to keep fuel at N65. Had he continued to keep fuel at N65, by 2014, the budget would have been eaten up by the subsidy as it was.

Make be blast tinubu for curruption, no industrialization policy, no diversifcation policy, no cost cutting.....but I don't expect a president who on May 29 met an economy where 90% of government revenue was going for debt servicing to keep on paying for subsidy, even with the partial one he is still doing right now self...because fuel should be above N1200 per liter.

Infact if TInubu had kept petrol at N195....by now, there would have been no money for salaries, for example.

Even GEJ keeping fuel at N87 cost our economy dearly. Buhari too keeping fuel low messed us up.

At some point, even people like me that do not like our leaders past and present have to wake up and realize that there is no way fuel can be sold for below N200 without issues arising.
Stop making excuses for government laziness.

How much is fuel sold in Libya, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia. These are oiil producing counties that utilised their oil to their own advantage.

Before you mention our huge population compared to oil output as a basis why those countries are doing better, look up the countitution and point to where it is a crime to expand our oil production since we have huge oil and gas reserve.

The laziness of the government over the year is the reason for this crises.
