Business › Re: Dangote Refinery Playing Emotional Blackmail, Nigerians Swallowing It – Adeoti by Ttalk: 3:47pm On Sep 13, 2024
professorPABX:
Why is Dangote Cement new trucks now using CNG instead of Diesel?

NIPCO built a CNG station at IBAFO in Ogun State opposite Mountain Of Fire Prayer City since 2014.

Since July this year till Tuesday this week about 100 DANGOTE CNG TRUCKS have been filled. People are asking me why Dangote Cement is converting to CNG when they have Refinery. I told them I am going to write the reason on nairaland when time comes.

Apart from Dangote, a lot of companies with fleet of trucks are converting to CNG and the fleet of CNG trucks are loading from this CNG station opposite Prayer City beside Rain Oil at IBAFO.

What Tinubu government has done it is only right thinking Nigerians that can appreciate it. The change is very painful but also gainful at the end.

In 2014 up till 2015 when that CNG station was built, I had thought it was a wasted huge investment. Up till 2022, people still don't understand the importance of the Gas Station. Now, everybody knows the reason why the Gas Station was built when they saw Dangote Trucks on queue for CNG .
Now tell me if the current price of the CNG will remain the same in the next 5years when majority of Nigerians have converted to CNG.

Are you saying the forces of demand and supply won't jack up the price especially in the face of depreciating naira.

Remember Nigerians were cajoled into using LNG for cooking instead of kerosene and charcoal, today the price has gone from 2k for 12kg to 16k within the space of 10years.

Why are Nigerians this gullible?

That Vice chairman of Dangote want to use Indian sense on Nigeria, Saying marketers don't want to buy their cheap PMS. Which kind lie be this na, abi em think say na Zeeworld im come act for Nigeria ni.

Nigerians don't want to take shit either from NNPCL or from Dangote, we would hold Tinubiu and Dangote responsible for any reason that makes PMS expensive in Nigeria

If you think Dangote is the problem here then you don't really know what is going on, is Dangote not selling to other countries, does he have any issue with them?
You don't have to a speak if you don't have something tangible.

Is Dangote selling lower to than 1k outside the shore of Nigeria, and are Nigerians ready to buy PMS at 1k.

It's not everhing you play politics with

Jonathan didn't conducpresidebtial media chat. The whole thing ended with Obasanjo tenure. Don't lie about history.

Though not justfying the timid attitude of the presidency towards it's people on critical issues that beg for answer.

How much should Nigerians be prepared to buy fuel

What's happening to the PH refinery and other refineries where Nigerians money were pumped and we were promised it will start working on August.

What happened to the budgetary reform you promised as same old template of repeating with increasing figure in the budget?

Where is the agric board you promised would be offtakers of agricultural products to increase farmers output

Where are the food your government have cultivated for the past one year, abi your harvesting period have no date?

Nigerians demands answers to these pertinents questions as the patience of reasonable citizens is gradually weaning

I would keep saying it, the government is incompetent.

Nigeria is in a situation where those in government today are there to loot and enrich themselves.

How can a country that has comparative advantage in a major resource over neighbouring countries say that its own citizens must pay higher for that natural resource to discourage other countries from smuggling out that resource?

I can't wrap my head around it.

It means even if pms can be sold profitably at N500 per litre in nigeria, because it is sold at the equivalent of N1,200 in Chad, niger or Benin, then Nigerians must pay N1,500 to discourage smuggling...

How does this make socio-economic sense to anyone?

Imagine many failed promises regarding pH refinery resuming production after gulping billions of dollar
We would hold Tinubiu responsible if he failed to clean the mess NNPCL has brought upon this nation.
Politics › Re: Onanuga Blames NLC For Blocking Sale Of Refineries To Dangote In 2007 by Ttalk: 6:59am On Sep 12, 2024
Onanuga should keep his mouth shut and stop making comment that would provoke Nigerians.

Is it not an indictment in the government that it's unable to manage it's assets. Why should a government depend on private individual to manage her assets when critical assets in other country are national pride that is judiciously guided and maintained.

Until Nigerians see PH and Kaduna refinery working after so many promise and fail, any government official that pass any judgement on the refinery should be flogged mercilessly. Enough of this rigmarole

Indebted to the World Bank is not the same as indebted to the world.

There are other financial institution in the world, owning World bank doesn't place Nigeria in the number 3 position of the world total debtor.

I wonder why Peter Obi can't pay attention to details, as he always gaffe in his rush to the press to score a political point but always ended embarrassing himself.

It’s not unusual to see or hear anti-Peter Obi elements make comments like “people’s eyes have opened that Peter Obi is a fraud”, “Peter Obi has lost supporters”, and other gibberish.

But Peter Obi’s outing in Benin has put all that to rest where we saw the enthusiasm of the people with loud cheers in their numbers for the man who holds the ace of the solution to myriads of problems bedeviling Nigeria.

Without long talks, the point is that Peter Obi has not lost a single supporter of his; if anything, he has gained multitude more after Tinubu’s disasterous turnout. Conduct an election today and the IREV will have to be switched off again to stop him from winning.

Penguin is a bird of reason!
He has lost the SW people that voted him.

I was in the University while he was governor...so I don't understand what you're saying about tuition. Unless he increased that of Osun State while governing Anambra State...

On saving funds, the bank where it is saved is irrelevant. Coincidentally, he saved in different banks NOT just one bank. Maybe he owns all of them which isn't bad or unconstitutional...It is important that you ask those who told you this story, the exact position Peter Obi held in the banks too so that you don't sound too stupid...

What again did you hear about him?

I agree with Obi on this. Subsidy removal is an expensive sacrifice by the masses, and they should be updated on monthly basis how the money is being shared by the 3tiers of the gernment.
The people on their part should hold their governor's accountable on how he spent the money.

A state like Rivers, Delta, Akwa Ibom and Lagos should be able to build their independent power now that power has been moved to concurrent list

Niger, Benue and Taraba should invest in Agriculture, Ogun state should invest heavily on road infrastructure and build mono rail to complement Lagos Infrastructure.

SE governor need to provide enabling environment and create wealth in order to increase the people purchasing power so their trading can grow from homefront
