Sir Tonye Okio who is the Bayelsa State Commissioner, Federal Character Commission has praised Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Resources Timipre Silva for the steps he has taken in bringing transparency and change to the NNPC.

The NNPC recently submitted a budget to the National Assembly, something that has not been done before since it was founded in 1977.

Limited Warri, Delta State, from 1993 - 1998; Marine Consultant, Delta Shipping and Marine Services Limited Port Harcourt from 1998-1999; Marine Superintendent and Designated Person Ashore (DPA) at Hydro dive (Nig,) Limited Port Harcourt from 1999-2003.

It was on October 2019 it happened, the people of Otuokpoti Community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State woke up to find out that Erosion was eating their community. Rivers State born Otto Canon is an intelligent young man who has received awards from top Nigerian people because of his initiatives and projects.

He is an Environmentalist and public speaker. He is the founder of CleanCyclers, a company that helps makes the environment better by battling climate change.

When Otto Canon was serving in Bayelsa, he initiated a Project "Project clean up Yenagoa" were he, other corps member, the civil Defence, Road safety and Bayelsa state government officals cleaned Up Yenagoa.

He initiated another project "i plant a tree in Yenagoa" where he planted over 500 trees" to beautify the city and also improve clean air.

He later repeated this in 2018 in Port Harcourt where he mobilized for the planting of over 5000 trees. In his words he said.

"Every year, man uses up billions of tons of natural resources from the earth to transform into consumables. At some point, there will be nothing left. That’s why we must, as a planet, think again about what we throw away – seeing not waste, but opportunity."

Because of his works, in 2019 Otto Canon was awarded the Order of the Niger (OON) by Vice president Osinbajo. He also got another award from the Ooni of Ife for being a Nation builder and a youth leader.

How can Oshiomhole compare himself to me. I’m well-read, a lawyer, life bencher. 65-year-old Hong Kong native made the announcement in a Weibo post.
