Politics › Re: El-rufai’s Religious Bill In Kaduna ‘absolutely Wrong’ – Senator Shehu Sani by Tugbus(m): 11:02am On Apr 11, 2016 |
Chiefpriest1: About this bill, I think people should learn to separate politics from what is rational.
I consider myself a Christian, so I cannot support anything that would hurt those who believe in the gospel of christ.
I 've gone through the bill and apart from a little fine-tuning that it needs, I really don't think it's a bad one.
Some quick questions:
1. How many of you enjoy churches or mosques that are almost making you go insane in your area? Sometimes, it's just 5 members inside a cubicle making your life unbearable.
2. Is the bill only for christians?
3. How much do you like islamic preachers or pastors that preach hate.
4. Shouldn't religion be a private endeavour? Why should a muslim loudspeaker wake me up by 5am or a Christian vigil keep me awake all night.
5. Do you know how many Nigerians with dreams of a brighter future have been sent to their early graves as a result of hate sermons.
Ps: I have my reservations about the licensing thing because it can be abused, though it's not even the government that's doing the licensing.
I believe that there has to be a way of curbing the excesses of these zealots, but dont hate that bill because you hate el-rufai.
By the way, the senator is a political arch-enemy of el-rufai, so must know where he's coming from. Let's not always follow the crowd You made sense really! |

FolarinLondon: The Igbo civilians even deserved what they got from the Northerners than the coup plotters. How? As usual, the Igbo civilians started celebrating with the dead pictures of Northerners' leaders on the streets....
They danced and celebrated the wickedness and stupidity of their fellow Igbo brothers on the streets of Kano and Kaduna before law of Karma catched up with them.
The Igbo community in Kano started the infamous pogrom by calling and insulting all the Northerners to their faces with all sort of name calling at every slightest opportunity. If you doubt me, take a look at Igbos' attitude in South West today towards their Yoruba host and tell me what you think. They did the same thing in the North but were fiercely met with well deserved violence which led to their death; the result of their stupidity, arrogance and selfishness was brutal..... Oga,on whose account did you read that the igbo's were celebrating the coup in the streets of Kano and Kaduna?? I want to also read it to get informed. Or you just came up with that to defend an inhuman act against armless and innocent civilians?? No wonder karma has also decided to descend on the northerners through their brothers Boko haram. They are dying like fowls everywhere even in their worship places. Karma is indeed a b*tch. |

YerYer: It seems like no Nairaland comments section will be complete without somebody poking jokes at the president or depicting him in caricature. While this is indicative of our progress as a democratic society, sometimes however, it seems a bit much. Many of us may think we are just another username online so therefore we can post insensitive comments we wouldn't post if were to use our real names and real pictures. Don't run loose in this false sense of anonymity, these politicians have in their arsenals some of the best hackers and can fish out anyone if they are very determined to do so. I'm not saying you shouldn't exercise your freedom of speech, i'm all for that, but just be mindful of how you portray others online. Just shut up jare...When people went about abusing GEJ with lots of unworthy pictures and names that are undeserving for the office of a president all because of hate and all you didn't come out to say this trash. Saraki is losing supporters by d day because even those who supported him initially are now coming to see that his is one man's unbridled ambition for power. Saraki and Dogara can continue postponing the day of reckoning but it shall surely come. There is no place in the world a man wins a mandate on a party's platform, based on the party's ideals and mantra and then goes against the party, running as an independent for an office that belongs to his party by its sheer majority. APC would not stand it,those of us that voted for change won't stand it. I'm struggling to believe you typed this. These men betrayed their party and ran to APC in their large numbers. They even made APC the majority at some certain time in the house.None of you here or anywhere dared asked them to relinquish the seat because they got there in the platform of another party. Onyejiuwaokoh: Kwankwaso is a betrayal and wicked man. l know how we suffered and risked our lives to vote for in 2011 despite threat from the defunct ANPP and CPC, he rewarded us(Christians) in his state with total neglect and abandonment. He used his evil tricks and hypocrisy to woo and deceive us but later proved his atrocious life. Dear! I live in Kano, and I know and I must let the whole Nigeria and indeed the world know what tribalist Kwankwaso is. This tribalist neglected a section in his state (Sabon Gari) because the section was dominated by the southerners.Businesses owned and runned by the southerners are being attacked and persecuted even after these same people struggled, campaigned and voted to get him into power in 2011.Yet they were made the object of ridicule throughout his reign.Any frequent visitor to Sabon Gari will tell how bad every road in it is.Just last week,a friend and neighbor lost her pregnancy because the road are very very bad.(the Keke napep man carrying the woman mistakenly jumped into a pothole in the street thereby making the woman have a miscarriage). Infact every road in the whole of Sabon Gari can be considered a death trap all because of Kwankwaso's wickedness and negligence. Come 2019 I must be in the forefront campaigning against him should he ever dream of running for the presidency.I'm patiently waiting for 2019 to come. |

This man always has a problem in a position where an Igbo man occupy. And to think some people are recommending him for presidency come 2019 is really baffling. How can such a tribalist rule Nigeria A man that commissioned a road in Kano "New road Sabon Gari" to be precise.Since he got on the seat for his second term but left it that way till he left. This was because the area the road is an Igbo dominated area. There is absolutely no visible thing this man did in the whole of Sabon Gari throughout his stay in office all because he's a hell of a tribalist. You discriminate and refuse to develop some parts in your state which you are the governor of all because it's mostly dominated by the Igbo's.Yet you are aspiring to lead Nigeria.I'm just laughing and waiting for 2019 to come fast. |
