She was just foolish in choosing to invest all that for him. What does she have that a man like him would marry her? He has dumped others and she knew it. She must have been really foolish and naive to think he will marry her. Everything she has he already gets outside so what's in her? The only issue I have with her is how her family could let her leave in dreamland cos of money.
