weldon bro... Dioxidane: Chapter Twelve
Damien sat on the floor in his dark cell with the stench of urine from the bucket at the corner oozing in his nose. He was thinking about all the events that led to him being in the Taliban camp. 'If only I had minded my own business and not lusted after a beautiful lady', he thought, 'I might have still been in my house.' He also thought about his mum and his siblings, how worried they would be. The thought made him determine in his heart that he must survive the ordeal no matter what.
'How am I supposed to escape from this place?', he wondered.
He knew that two armed guards were posted outside his cell, besides the cell was close to the edge of the forest. 'There's no where to run to', he thought.
'Or are there paths out of the forest?', he wondered.
He had not studied any map of the forest, but he slightly understood the topography of the area. It was fairly standard.
He began imagining possible scenarios and obstacles in the forest and how he was going to overcome them.
The voices of the guards posted outside his cell could not make Damien concentrate his thoughts as much as he wanted to. He always favored serene environments when brainstorming like he was trying to do at that moment.
The guards were discussing and they had loud voices that penetrated even the thick walls of the cell.
Damien was listening to them, trying to understand what they were saying, but he realized that they were speaking a dialect he had never heard in his life.
He just ignored them and tried to think of possible ways of escape. All the ways he thought of resulted in one thing - death.
The guards outside were engaged in a heated argument. Damien wondered what they were arguing about because the noise was beginning to disturb him.
Suddenly, he heard the sound of the footsteps of two different persons walking towards the cell and he heard one of them convey an instruction to them. Some seconds later, he heard several footsteps walk away from the cell.
He quickly got up and went towards the iron door. He placed his ear on the door, trying to listen for sound outside the cell, but it was all quiet. It was obvious the men had left and he was unguarded. 'But where could they have gone to?', he wondered.
He still remained in that position for several minutes, but there was still no sound coming from outside the cell.
He tried ramming the door severally, but it was to no avail. The door was heavily bolted and could only be opened from outside.
He just sat behind the door and waited. After what seemed to Damien like hours, but in reality just a few minutes, he had already begun drifting into sleep when he heard a voice. He thought he was dreaming about it, but when he opened his eyes, he heard the voice again. This time, clearer than the first.
'Salam alaikum', the voice called out. Damien was quiet. No one responded outside either. Damien tried deciphering who the voice belonged to. 'Salam alaikum', the voice called out again. Still no one responded. This time around though, the voice said some words that Damien didn't understand, but one word that stood out was 'Abinchi'. 'Food', Damien thought.
Damien got up and knocked on the iron door, thrice. He waited. Everywhere was silent. He listened for sounds outside the cell and didn't hear any footsteps receding, so definitely the person was still standing there. 'Please open this door', Damien thought silently.
After several seconds, Damien heard a sound outside the cell. He heard the sound of a tray being gently placed on the floor.
He smiled inwardly. Suddenly, he heard the sound of bolts of the iron door coming off. Some seconds later the door was thrown open and a young man walked in with a tray with food on it.
Damien was standing behind the door. Some rays of light shone in through the door. The young man didn't see Damien, so he dropped the tray quietly.
The man was about turning around when Damien swiftly came behind him and encircled his arm around his neck, with the man's trachea at the crook of his elbow. His left hand then grasped his own upper right arm, gradually choking the man. The man thrashed and bucked, but Damien did not relent. He held on.
After several seconds, the man was still. Damien set him on the floor and checked for his pulse. He felt it faintly. The man was not dead. He quickly took off the man's attire together with his turban and put it on. He tied the man's hands and legs with his clothes and gagged him.
After positioning the turban properly around his head, he opened the door, walked out of the cell and bolted it back.
He looked around and noticed that there were no guards around. He didn't wait around to find out where they were as he took the nearest path into the forest....

Help me tell them ooo 1million likes for you Guy. Irunmole: I shudder at the thought of me trying to reason with and educate someone with such immature and underdeveloped mind like yourself,. Yes, there are laws protecting wildlife in Nigeria. The problem with the country and its citizens is that the enforcement of such laws, like most laws in the country is next to nothing and is exactly why there's pervasive wanton lawlessness everywhere. Please educate yourself, and learn more about issues before jumping headlong into drawing conclusions. I would gladly protect and redirect such harmless and magnificent creature elsewhere where it poses no harm to man where it can live and breathe the same air in peace, just like you, a one-grain brain ignorant buffoon . By the way, I live in a country and society where nature and wildlife are admired and valued for their beauty, and the enrichment of the lives of the people and society as a whole. |

Domestics Dogs are 99% wild animal!.
Don't misled peoples here say no to animal brutality.
They have their own impact in earth ecosystem.
like seriously? You show me any of the animals you mention than could kill humans like a python do by constriction? Have you bothered to research on how python even kill fully grown adults simply because they are hungry? A dog can be wild doesn't make it a wild animal, as aggressiveness could be part of any living creature at a time, its like saying a turkey is a wild animal because it could be aggresive at times..
Please you should at least consider the trash you are saying before spewing it.. how on earth would u even compare python to an asatian dog? Let's even assume the python is domestic, would u be so careless to let it go after you see its blood thirsty? I will just leave u but u should be the one to do more research about what ur saying as it makes no sense
|

Crime › Re: How Do We Effectively Curb Sexual Offences In Nigeria? by tunde1200(m): 5:18am On Aug 02, 2015 |
you said it all!!... Lack of infrastructure, power, and the effectiveness of bribery is what ruin this country till this moment. Nihilist: This one is quite interesting.
Anyway here are my thoughts on the issue.
1. Harsh penalties are not a deterrent. A would be rapist will not baulk at the thought of doing time or even killed as a consequence for his\her perverse quest for gratification.
2. Educating people about r ape is pointless. Most men and women are fully aware of what the crime is. I doubt that anyone in the world is under the illusion that non-consensual sexual relations are morally and/or legally right.
3. Most victims do not report sexual attacks. Here in the UK there have been recent incidents when former victims are coming forward to report attacks from 20-30 years ago, often after their attackers have long passed away. RAINN (an anti_rape charity in America claim that about 68% of all sexual attacks go unreported)
4. Sexual offenders lists will not work in Nigeria for obvious reason: Lack of infrastructure, power, and the effectiveness of bribery
5. Law enforcement is non-existent. In 2012 I was introduced to a guy at Evans square Ebutte-Metta, who was just fresh out of jail. He was a convicted murder. According to government records, he is awaiting execution at KiriKiri prison....Instead he's a big time dope mover on Lagos Island.
To this end, I believe it is the Onus of every man and woman in Nigeria to protect himself/herself from rape, cos no-one else will do it for you. The government lacks the ability and/or political goodwill to implement any useful reforms.
Nigeria is also a country where criminals are most likely to get away with the crime. It's not gong to get better any time soon.
Nigeria is too broken to fix...and you realistically cannot hope to curb sexual offences in Nigeria. The best you can do is to try and protect yourself. |

Don't tell us here you are soldier!. Though I expect the worst but not from a soldier. FOLYKAZE: I dont just get it. There is a budget set aside separately for the defence section yearly which is enough to provide standard and very great weapon for out soldier. These money were looted and shared among the politicians under the leadership of the big belle Ex-CDS who call himself a soldier.
This evil man lead our soldier to battle with a gun gaving nothing more than 30 bullets to fight Boko-haram. It was in his reign NA came down low to the rank of ordinary boys scout. It was in his reign NA men were turn to political tout. How do you expect a soldier to fight terrorist with counted bullets, no fighting gear and kits, even soldiers were made to buy there boot by themselves. It was in his reign our barracks were ransacked and weapons got stolen by islamic ragtard. It was in his reign boko haram grew to a beast.
APC was conplaining about the welfare of the soldiers some months ago. Even the soldiers came out boldly to complain about their poor condition on international tv. It was this fustration that caused mutiny. But instead of them to listen to the plight of the soldiers, they were sentenced to death by a kangaroo court. NA has gotten corrupt that they have become politician bomboy who carry bags. Not only that, they are now use as an agent of election rigging as the case is in Ekiti.
Alot of gallant men have been wasted to this pig called Alex. A lot of our national money has gone to the drain. Boko haram was left to grow fat so that they could make money from the defence budget. And now the fool is here telling us there was no weapon to fight terrorism.
I wish Buhari can castrate the man till after the war against insurgency has the won then we can decide to judge him for the atrocities he has caused. |

Truth is always beater bro but is you have just said it all. utumunta: Clowns and crabs with a belly and no head!
All they think about is how to loot and corner resources. I have always held the view(and rightly so) that the Niger- deltan is his own problem. Any day he wakes up to agitate, genuinely, for his right, instead of seeking to corner some resources for personal aggrandisement, the better for the region.
GEJ proved me right! After his nearly 6 years in power, all he did was make a few Niger-delta billionaires while the larger populace languished in penury. Today, Niger-delta is no better after his sojourn in Aso villa. |

The delay by President Muhamadu Buhari to appoint a new head to drive the Presidential Amnesty Programme, PAP, has begun to take a toll on the beneficiaries of the scheme. In far away Germany, no fewer than 13 Nigerians from the Niger Delta region undergoing commercial point training at the Lufthansa Flight Training School in Frankfurt, have been sent away for non-payment of fees. Vanguard learnt that the Nigerian pilots who would have graduated from the prestigious aviation training institution, were axed last Friday due to their inability to pay for sundry fees stipulated in their training manual. The fees were for accommodation and training logistics. Apart from that, six of the pilots who had already completed their training had their licenses withheld by the school. Two of the students sent home for non-payment, had only one test to complete their Programme for Commercial Pilot Licence, one was in his final stage of the CPL test while four had just started their type rating test and would have completed next month. A source at the PAP confirmed to Vanguard yesterday that there was money in the account of the agency with the Central Bank of Nigeria but that there was no signatory to authorize the payment to the beneficiaries since the exit of the former presidential aide, Kingsley Kuku. President Buhari is yet to name a Special Adviser on Niger Delta, who doubles as the chairman of the PAP and is the chief executive of the agency. Before leaving office in May this year, Kuku had written PMB to either allow him to pay the May financial obligations to avoid a breakdown of law and order or appoint a new signatory for the account. source http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/07/lufthansa-sacks-13-nigerian-amnesty-pilots/However, no appointment has been made and the ex-militants who collect a monthly salary of N65,000 and the students who are spread around major universities around the world and Nigeria, are suffering, as a result. |

hmmmm you make sense alot kennyman2000: Its not the fault of the chineese or any foreigner.. i REPEAT.. Its not!
We're always our own enemies in this Nigeria.. When chineese comes to Nigeria or any foreigner..
They're always afraid at first, its most Nigerians that sells us to them..
I've once worked in an indian company where the supervisor who's a Nigerian treats us anyhow..
The indian that just came barely two days, saw how he's treating people, that gave him the gut to start treating Nigerians anyhow too. Since, supervisor calls him OGA.. So, he started misbehaving.. Slapped a guy and i love the guy, the guy took a bottle and dress his head..
Where's the supervisor now.. He had also been sacked.. Saw him driving keke napep some months ago..
I once asked a very close friend who's an indian why they treat Nigerians who worked under them anyhow.. He said, if u know how much our govt do collect from them for taxes and another expenses.. Infact, not only govt, traditional rulers will also collect from them etc. So, thats why u'll see them paying meagre salary.. And thats why our govt hardly fight for us.
Nigerian also turned Nigerians labor into business. I know of a company that pays his workers #18000 per month.. The personnel manager of one of the companies the man owns met the owner of the company and adviced him to put all those workers on contract and let their salaries and welfare be handled by an agency.. This agency is been handled by his junior brother.. The owner of the company agreed.. Now, those people are under contract and the agency handles their welfares.. They're now been paid #12000.. The agency makes #6000 on each person every month.. The man has about 6 companies and not fewer than 95 workers in each company..
The agency makes #3420000 - #4000000 every month from this people..
I swear down! We Nigerians dont really like ourselves.. Thats why whites see us as Fools atimes.. |
