We are been governed by jesters in this country, this Ekiti gorvenor is number one.

The Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has declared that President Muhammadu Buhari will not die because God will use him to achieve the restoration of Biafra.

The Rivers State Coordinators of the group, Samuel Okah and Pastor Shedrack made the declaration during a prayer session by members in Calabar, the state capital.

MASSOB said the prayers were to ensure that Buhari stays alive long enough to see the success of Biafra agitation.

Okah, while speaking claimed that the President was not an enemy of Biafra but an instrument which will be used for the actualization of the struggle in the near future.

According to Okah, “Buhari is not an enemy and therefore we can’t pray for him to die but to live because God will use him as an instrument to bring the quest for a Biafran State to fruition in the near future.

“The sickness of the president is not unto death because he still has many things to accomplish, one of which is the setting free of the Biafran nation, bringing peace to all parts of Nigeria and an end to the economic recession.”

Similarly, the founder of the pro-Biafra group, Ralph Uwazuruike, had recently declared that the President will not die but live to see the actualisation of Biafra.

This is coming at a time the President who embarked on vacation few weeks ago was rumoured dead.

The rumour of the President’s death was further fueled after he extended his vacation indefinitely on the day he was expected back in the country.

Some people will still hang themself over this phone call issue.

BENIN—A Senior Secondary School 3 student (names withheld) has claimed that a bag of substance suspected to be Indian hemp found on him when he was arrested, was given to him by his grandfather. The student, who was among some suspects paraded by the Edo State Police Command, said he was sent away from school because of his inability to pay school fees. He was arrested at a brothel in Lampese, Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of the state, where he apparently went to sell the drug. He alleged that his grandfather gave him the drugs to sell. He said: “I am not a cultist. I am in SS3 and I also do aluminium work. I was sent away from school because of school fees. I went to ask my grandfather for school fees and he gave me the Indian hemp to keep. “It is my grandfather that is into the business. I went to see him for my school fees and he asked me to wait and that I will leave for school the following day. When he was called for a meeting, he gave me the Indian hemp.” Also paraded was a dreaded cultist, who is said to have carried out cult-related killings within Third East Circular and Ogie areas in Benin. Items recovered from him were two locally-made guns, two live cartridges and one battle axe. Edo State Commissioner of Police, Haliru Gwandu, said the suspects would soon be charged to court.

National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has said only people that are crazy will say he was not with President Muhammadu Buhari last week.

In a statement on Monday, Tinubu, a former Governor of Lagos State, said mischief makers were behind the news that he did not visit the President.

The statement, signed by his spokesperson, Tunde Rahman, said Tinubu was in London with the former Interim National Chairman of the APC, Chief Bisi Akande, to visit Buhari and that they met the President at the Abuja House.

The statement reads: “The report about the so-called denial of the visit is the handiwork of mischief- makers.

“I felt we should not dignify that with a response. That report beggars belief.

“Asiwaju Tinubu and Baba Akande were in London. The reason they travelled to the United Kingdom was to see President Buhari.

“And they visited him last Thursday and held discussions with him at the Abuja House in London.

“After the visit, the President, as a mark of respect, saw off his guests to the door.

“Pictures were taken during and after the visit and released to the media by The Presidency.

“These pictures were international headlines. How can anybody in his or her right senses be saying there was no such visit? It’s simply crazy!”
